Ribadu hostel is a very large female hostel that accommodates over seven thousand (5,000) female students. It was recently renovated and is currently well maintained. However, one major challenge with this hostel is that of over crowding. Although the rooms are large, they are usually insufficient to accommodate all the female students. This leads to students squatting their friends so that a room meant for four students get to have nearly ten (10) students residing there and this can become uncomfortable and lead to a lot of fighting.

Its one of the girls hostel on Ahmadu Bello University. It comprises of seven blocks which have four floors each. Its generally very spacious but a little crowded when session is going on
