Food - 5/5Service - 5/5Ambience - 5/5Cost - 5/5Covid measures - 2/5A really cosy and serene environment. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive and go above and beyond, in my opinion. Really good customer service. We visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were able to watch football on the big screen by the bar after food. The food was lovely, the eggs and pancakes were cooked beautifully (cannot review bacon as it was given to the other person but I didn’t hear any complaints about that meal). The macchiato was great and the pineapple just wash fresh and refreshing.Total meal was about ₦7k per person which is fair. The restaurant itself is clean, neat and beautifully decorated but there seems to be a lack of covid measures as there were no hand-sanitiser stations or any hand-sanitisers on tables etc, waiters were also not wearing masks when moving around and serving food. This was not a major problem for me as I have my own sanitiser and wear a mask when not eating but it’s just an observation and perhaps something for House Cafe to improve on.I would definitely visit again.
Had their special pizza which was a thin-crusted pizza with pepperoni, ham, sausage and chicken. The toppings were only sparsely distributed around the centre with little or nothing at the peripheral. Thankfully, it was really tasty.Their Chapman was just there. They had a silent disco on the day so service was a little slow and it was difficult to get a hold of the servers.Still was a likeable experience, would love to visit again.
Went to the House Cafe with friends, had not been before, the experience was alright. The ambiance definitely nice. The food was alright, just the way I like my rice not overly spiced, the Turkey... could have been more interesting/spicy. Now my issue was the fact that we had to ask for bread, they dont serve bread, instead the 5 of us were given a saucer of ground nuts. Stingy much or rather you could have split it in two so at least I didnt have to stretch far to get it.One of the best things a restaurant can serve before me is bread, I realize I tend to spend more after. If you are looking for restaurants with good bread check my other posts
Really delightful experience. The place is really roomy and great for small corporate events such as marketing activations and also a good place to have that private dinner with a loved one, or if you just need a place to hang out and have fun. For birthdays with your small group of friends, try House Cafe. The aesthetics of the place are nice with an Egypt-themed interior decoration with a lot of flower towers. The food is wow, try their chicken and fries or their king-sized burger! Highly recommended! For drinks, the bar is fully equipped to handle all your liquor needs. Did I mention the staff are courteous and highly professional?
Great space, I like the Egyptian royalty vibes the entire place had; even the restroom wasnt left out. It didnt seem crowded even though there were quite a number of people there at the time. Meal was timely and delicious, the grilled prawns were my personal favorite. Only downside is that they didnt have a single thing available on their dessert menu.
First time I heard of this place I mistook it for The House at V.I. But both times I have been there to celebrate my friends birthday and my work anniversary were great. There was a resident dj who played jams on my friends birthday.House music was played on my recent visit to solo celebrate my work anniversary and the ambience was so relaxing. The wait for service was short maybe because I came at an off peak period around 3pm on a week day. I sat at the lounge area designated for smoking, omo the AC na die 😅I ordered the pasta marinara creamy with prawns...chai! 😋 Excellent! I recommend The House Cafe with my full chest😊🤗
Really good ambience, house pizza was really good. Fiesta pizza not so much. Strawberry milkshake was mid. Service was okay.
My ORDER* Prawns Tagliatelle - ₦6500* Burger* Margarita Sling - ₦3500___________________________________________MY REVIEWFirst off? Any restaurant that gives appetizer before the actual meal wins my heart.I was served coconut bread & butter. The texture & taste of the bread was unexpectedly good. I wanted more.Let me just say this - this is the BEST pasta in Lagos until I discover another restaurant. It was creamy, it was cheesy & tasty. I guarantee you, it’s not like any pasta you’ve had before. I liked the technique adopted in the making of this pasta. It wasn’t soggy contrary to the picture, it stayed apart. The fusion of all ingredient is so commendable. Seasoned to perfection. Plus lots of prawns 😍With the burger - I thought it looked dry when it was presented, but it wasn’t - plus it came with extra sauce in the case I needed. So Yh shawty was juicy 🤤I liked their service, the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu & I thought that was really impressive. He was very friendly & on time to deliver. Wait time was longgg though.I thought the presentation could have been better, because it didn’t look as good as it tasted. In regards to price - With the quality of food? Very affordable & reasonable.I had so many highlights coming here - I mean they checked all my boxes. - food, scenery, service, value. I’d definitely be visiting this restaurant again.
A fun place to be. Good food and great ambience. Food is super tasty. Their pizza is the best in Lagos. You cant go wrong here. Try it please.
Worked practically all day here and felt very comfortable to, nice vibe and fairly attentive staff.I had the fajita and it was decent - I felt the meat was overcooked though and rather tough. It also wasnt that filling, so I ordered a side of fries. They were warm and crispy, but definitely oversalted. For Lekki, price isnt really shocking. I would revisit, but definitely be clear about cooking instructions.
The ambience is amazing. The landscape is well thought out. They serve an italian menu which is well laid out. Had a three-course brunch there and totally loved it. As a foodie, I recommend this place. If your a seafood and pasta lover, You should try out the Prawn ariabbiata and the carrot cake anytime you visit 😋😉.
Theres no signage outside, and aside the nice blue accent lights, its easy to pass the House Cafe many times over without knowing. But having found it, youll be glad you did. The Egyptian theme inside the tent like cafe works beautifully. And the use of coloured lights inside the restaurant completes the look. There are inner rooms nicely done up, and an open kitchen which subtly suggests a high level of hygiene. Speaking of which, the food is actually nice and the prices surprisingly constrained. Its 2 thumbs up for sure.
I’m still dreaming about their seafood pasta. Arguably the best I’ve had in LagosTheir authentic italian pizza variety is the truth and their barman makes decent cocktails. I won’t call this place budget friendly but its quite affordable and worth itFollow me on instagram @opeyemifamakin for more food and restaurant reviews
Went dining with my friend. The ambience is great. Interior is beautiful and the staff very courteous. However, it wasnt a full house but our order took 35 minutes instead of the 20 minutes we were told. The red snapper was great but the Spaghetti Tagliatelle was just ok.The red snapper has a lot of vegetables piled underneath to make it look like a lot. 😩😩😩. The mashed potatoes could have been better! It wasnt fluffy and wasnt properly mashed.Their plating was alright. However, a bottle of 50cl water for ₦500? No can do! We passed on the water as we felt it was too small for the price and they didnt have a big bottle of water.Overall, Id say a 3/5
Love the ambiance, had a great memory over the weekend this Saturday, the waiter who served me was too cute and friendly, wish i am here one more time.. Yekini if i get it right, thanks for the delicious meals
Been seeing lovely post about this place for a while now on Instagram. Very cozy and the ambience great. The staffs werent friendly at all that put me off especially when you are with a kid. Food was OK and the prices of the foods were affordable was expecting outrageous bills. All in all its worth every penny
Immediately I stepped in, I was like WOW!!!how come Im just discovering this place? Its so cozy and relaxing and just everything cool.I actually went for a business meeting, but I loved it so much that Ive already planned my next visit with dem boyz 😉Was carried away and forgot to capture it with some hot JPEGs. So no pictures ☺
Very hospitable staff. They were so warm. The presence of a smoke room is conducive for folks who wouldnt wannu taste substances other than the food they ordered. However, it is not nearly far away or sealed off from the dining area. With sensitive nostrils, it didnt help. Their lounge, which is in a seperate room, is nice for group dinings. They are cost friendly too. All in all, they are worth visiting.
Had a great time out with my friends at the house cafe. Great food, average cocktails, no loud music, complimentary bread was delicious. The waiters were a little slow and I am guessing it’s because it was a Friday night which is peak period in most places in Lagos. Would visit again. Also, parking is a little tight but there is a “free” valet service to help you park your car well on the roadside.
So, I heard about house cafe (not to be mistaken for The House) and I’d been planning to go, finally did so today. The space is really beautiful and comfortable, I had such a relaxing time there, I had the prawns tagliatelle as my main and the carrot cake for dessert. The pasta was extremely yummy, but the portion was small, or maybe I was really hungry 😂. The prawns were huge and generously distributed 😁. The carrot cake was a dream 🙌🏾 it’s budget friendly too. Pardon the pictures 😊
Its a solid place. Great environment to rent for anything.
So I had been planning to visit the House Cafe but didn’t get around to it. Restaurant week seemed like a good time, so I decided to check them out. I had the Dinner Menu and it was a wonderful experience. The Thai Coconut soup was really good with generous portion of chicken bits. My friend has the Fish Goujons and it was amazing. I had to share in it. The grilled roast chicken was nice but the portion size was small. The sides of mash and vegetable fried rice was tasty but small. Please increase the portions lol. The Oreo Cheese cake was sinfully delicious and Apple pie was nice. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and the waiter was very attentive and helpful. The Virgin Pineapple Mojito was nice. Will definitely be going back again.
Great service. Absolutely tasty and affordable meals
The ambience and energy was everything especially the game night
Amazing italian food!!! They also have the best pizza in the country (Yes! I said it) thank me later
I stumbled upon this spot while looking for a different restaurant. I ended up staying and got Shisha. The manager, Tony, was really awesome in accommodating me. I will definitely return to try the food and drinks! The location is safe, looks super fun and very spacious!
Update:Visited on March 22nd 2021 and was disappointed once again. The beef fajita was served without tortillas of guacamole, the server was extremely slow, and came to beg for money 3 times!!!!The pizza was really good, but not enough to make up fornthi terrible experience.I wont be back here anytime soon. The ambience at the house cafe is very nice, the service however, leaves much to be designed. We were told 30 minutes after placing the order that the option was unavailable, it took another 30 minutes before the first half of our meal arrived and then another 25 minutes for the second half to get to us.The waiter offered us complimentary drinks to apologize for the snafu, but I will give them another month or two to get their internal operations in order before attempting another visit.
Absolutely beautiful and its not as expensive as I thought. Very good prices.
I always enjoy my visit here. Josiah is a very friendly and professional waiter. Ask for him.
For a wholly Nigerian outfit, House Cafe has a good offering of Italian-inspired cusine.
What a shame. Id heard the food was decent and saw the reviews on here so I expect at least decent food. Contrary to all that, the food was awful and inedible. I had the salmon tagliatelle, which is a creamy pasta. Specifically asked for it to not be spicy! It was so hot and spicy because they assumed everyone has an issue with eating cream. On top of that the service was awful. Long wait even though Id called beforehand to place an order to pick up because when I got there, the order was never placed. Called back when I tasted how spicy it came out and was told theyd call me back..they never did. No wonder Nigerian businesses are seldom evergreen. Shant be going there again.
Have to say, I was impressed by this spot. It doesnt seem as cozy as most of the other coffee shops in Lagos, but they do have their own thing going for them.House Coffee feels like an exclusive place where the cool kids come and chill. This is the spot where you would find those high class entrepreneurs making businesses plans. Now for the food. Overpriced and just there. I recommend sticking to the drinks and going across the road to get something to eat from the other restaurants. The drinks are good. Once again, the price is not so affordable, but it wont make you feel like a broke beggar. LoL.All in all, I say give it a try. Its not an everyday spot for me, but definitely a nice experience to share with a group of friends or that special someone.
Lovely place.Fine dinning restaurant and lounge
Pricey and all that, but great ambience.
I went here for a silent disco night. I didn’t get to try the food but I did try the drinks and it was lovely. Priced a bit high if you’re on a budget and not nearly as enough alcohol in the cocktails. The staff who served us was nice enough so that was a plus. The ambience was ok but would love to check it out on a regular night.Parking was a problem I don’t know if it’s because of the Silent disco or it’s usually like that but we parked at quite a distance.Overall, I won’t be too eager to go back. It wouldn’t be the first place that comes to mind. I’d recommend it but tentatively.
The cocktails kept me wanting more😊
I went to the cafe , interior was good there is also an outdoor sitting, the staff was good n welcoming , the sevice was not so quick, i ordered choclate lava kinda dessert with vanila icecream it was about 4000 naira it was too yummy i was in search of choclate lava since i have come to lagos today i found it absolutely loved it , will visit their adjoining resturant v.soon their menu was looking great with variety of pizzas .
I hosted a paint and sip here and the food was really great. The staff were so kind and helpful. I really enjoyed it here 😊

I was really good
Great breakfast...took a while to arrive though
The first thing you notice about this place is the atmosphere. Very relaxing. Also great service and great food.
I was here for a birthday and it was mostly a good experience. The ambience is nice, asides the zombie looking fishes in the outdoor aquarium. The meal I had was nice too; I forgot the name but it looked like mac n cheese. There were nice cocktails and meals on the menu too and the service was great too; courteous and all.I recommend for you small events if you have the money to dole out 👌🏾
Great Pizza and lovely ambience.Typically an Italian and american cuisine
This place is amazing
Very good food but service is slow.
Cool atmosphere, wonderful service!
Love the DJ!!! Drinks took a while to come tho.
Sweet place. The ambience is top notch and very private.
This restaurant is so classy, the Egyptian image on the wall was so beautiful, and above all the food was delicious.
Good food, absolutely enjoyed every bite but took awhile before my order came because there was only one server attending to everyone. 🤷♀️
Yesterday was my first time there. I will love to visit more often. I love everything about house Cafe.
A great place to be, I had a nice time there. Will inform my friends and colleagues about House Cafe.
Back up and active again after the lockdown
Great food
Its one of the coolest place I ever visited
Nice deco
Amazing and cool ambience
Loved the ambience
Nice place to chill out
Nice place to be when its come to funtime
Very nice place to relax
Talk about a very classy formal but relaxing indoor outlet with an outdoor experience. The services are really commendable. The quality, size and taste of their meals will make you want to go back there. Though it is a bit pricey but it is well worth it in every way. Their cocktail mixture is well balanced in taste as you savour the different blends of ingredients all at once. Im quite surprised this hot spot isnt as well known as it ought to be. I must commend the interior decorations as well and will definitely recommend to all my friends.
Serene environment perfect for a date 🙂🙂
One of the best cafe-restaurants in Lagos
It was a night out with my friends. Lovey staffs. The pizza was so good. 😍😍😍. You can ask for their cocktail too, can’t remember which but it was really nice. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
