It was awesome place with local cultural and traditional activities
Its very nice place
Great place! Beautiful space but you have to pay to use a digital camera
If you want to see some locally produced clay pots or vessels and the likes. This is your place to be.Just so you know. The place is not particularly organised for tourism. If you go with a local guide, probably someone who speaks the local language, they may be able to do some communication for you. And probably you will enjoy your time.If you go on your own, they will direct you to their leader who will charge you #3000 or maybe more. An rather expensive rate considering that it is not like they providing you with a tour guide. you can negotiate it even as low as possible. My personal experience was that they people are not friendly, not organised and rather greedy when they see non indigenes come pay them a visit. Imagine piggy bank that is sold for #50 in town at the pottery where it is produced they want to sell it for #500. That is crazy. That should not stop you from supporting their course if you like
I was passing by and came across the place. Am no much a fan of pottery and the likes but the efforts put in place to make the pots is a commendable art work 👏🏾👏🏾
It is an amazing place.
Fruits at good price
The people here are very accommodating. The craft is a beauty to behold. Its worth paying a visit.
Need government support

This is an ancient area endowed with local pottery in different size, colour and shape

Its Fascinating

I love thus place because is my home and is save to live there
Well Dada pottery is one of the ancient and an indigenous craft work that made use of clay extracted from the ground in abundance but the case now is a reverse,it is no longer easy to get Clay they have to travel to far place before they could get the necessary materials needed at a very costly price now the works are really not financially buoyant and they lack finance
It is too local but their products are of high quality
Its dirty and unkempt. I was disappointed at the the technique I saw but amazed at the end products. The end justifies the means, afterall. Its supposed to be free and appreciated and then money can exchange hands for purchases or for tour; but that was not the case, an old woman told me to pay N2,000. I didnt bother to bargain. I would think N100 is ideal. (April 2019).If truly this place has a place in the history of Ilorin, then the government has failed woefully - both the councillor, chairman, Rep, Senator, Governors and monarchs.Lastly, just opposite the pottery on the other side of the road, beside a filling station, I forgot my wallet on the bench of a small grocery/pharmacy shop containing about N10,000 and an ATM card and boarded a motorbike. When I realised and turned back to ask for it, they all denied. I was almost stranded.Unlike Minna, Kaduna and other places I visited before I came to Ilorin, you have to be very careful here with valuables. Keep wristwatches away. Negotiate and agree motorbikes fares before departing.
A Very nice app.
