Great place for picnic with friends and family. They also have amazing amenities for children to play around with.I love the atmosphere, very Cool and the natural wind blowing at the park is heavenly. I also love the fact that they follow strictly the COVID-19 safety procedure. So if you need a budget friendly for you and your friend to hang out, this is the best place to go. Youre allowed to bring in your own food and drink too. Adult are just to pay a token fee of #500, while children are to pay #1000.

Its a big park, it has a lot of provision for children, there are swings and other playground equipments. Its a really good place to hang out and have a picnic or if you just want to relax and stare at nature. They have food vendors within the park so not to worry about food. You are required to enter with a fask mask and you sign in and out of the park.

Heard about this place before this visit but I didnt know it would amaze me like it did. The space was cozy enough with leg space and roaming grounds. The playground was locked and barred from entry due to the COVID-19 restrictions. There were signs of low maintenance visible but it could be saved with due and fast attention. The bird cage or mini zoo was a good side attraction, especially for the kids, but it could do with a bit of stocking and upgrading. A guide or bird handler wont be a bad idea to educate the kids and adults about the birds. The restrooms were bad. Apparently there wasnt water available. Not sure if it is a recurrent thing but if you are visiting this place, make sure you have it at the back of your mind that the restrooms might not be something you want to use. There was parking space but a huge surge in visitors might overwhelm abail ale parking space. All in all, this is a great place to hangout with family and friends.

They’re adequately taking COVID cautions which is the right things to do. The park is free by the way and I think parks are one of the safest things to do this period.

This park is a nice quiet place opposite the entrance to the Lagos State Government House. Its a fun place for kids and family to visit. There is train ride for kids, a mini hockey field for active, and a bouncy castle. There are swings and slides for children play with for free. The park is adequately shaded, with seats, greens and, ample open space for kids to have fun, run around and burn their energy. There are two Cafes spots where you can get some snacks, food and drinks. The park has well maintained segregated toilets for Kids (boys and girls separate) and for Adult (male and female separate) with attendants willing and ready to help. The park has security watch with signage and warning for parent to look after their wards. Car park is available for visiting family its and also manned by security personnel. A toll fee of N250 is charged per person to enter this park which normally goes for N500 as informed at the entry point. You will also have to pay to use most of the fun things in the park. The lawn seemed well maintained but it has some outgrown weeds that stick onto peoples cloth. It is expected that on festive days such would have been removed. The field for kids to play ball and was under lock. There was a table soccer game without ball, so the kids couldnt play with it, plus it had probably seen better days and may need replacement or maintenance. It is also disappointing to see the park was charging fees enter and yet you have to pay to use most of the fun things. Ricos understandable that this may be done to control crowd but then enter fee has to be looked into.Overall its really nice place for family to relax, play and have fun. Its really good to see LASPARK is putting parks like this in place especially as the city is in seriously lacking parks and open space for families.

For the fact that it is free and can still be maintained to that level, they really deserve an award. Also, I like the idea of shutting it down by 6pm daily so as not to attract hooligans who want to use the opportunity to steal or destroy properties. The parking fee at 200 naira is cool but would have loved to see a security man at the entrance and not approach me when Im leaving to pay. Im coming back

Nice place. Went there on boxing day. The best time to come on festive periods is early in the morning so that you can enjoy the ambience before it gets rowdy. When its rowdy, it can be uninteresting. He convenience wasnt clean. The place is best for kids as there are lots of fun things to do. Good also for a group picnic. Best be advised to come along with a cloth to roll on the dusty ground. But if you have the money, you can spend it to get their mats for 1200 Naira per one. Also, the gate fee is 500 Naira. Not sure if its the same all year round or if it was because of the festivities. One more thing, its opposite the Lagos state government house. Be rest assured that it is secured

Its a secure park with all the basic facilities like running water in the toilets. Its on the small side but there are a lot of sitting areas available, play areas for kids... There are also places that sell food and drinks on ground. They claim to provide WiFi. Theres ample dustbin facilities around, which I liked as well as a little bird-house box that seemed to house books people could pick and read.It was locked at the time though, which is understandable as people could just walk off with the books if not monitired. In all a nice outing place for a family.

One of our favorite parks in Lagos. Very child friendly with swings, play areas, etc. There are seats to enjoy the greenery in the park. There is a food court, as external food and drinks are not allowed. A great place for taking pictures. Functional toilets. Entry is free while car parking is 200 naira.During the festive season, Christmas, easter, etc. There is usually a gate fee for entry. Extra rides and games are brought in, horse riding, for a fee. You can also book for events but have to apply at the secretariat at alausa. It is one of the few functional parks in Lagos. The state government should provide more swings, slides, etc. For the kids. During peak period like the school holidays, it gets so rowdy and kids have to wait to use them due to the crowd.

This park is not far off from the Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park (right across the road). It has a large playground for kids, a fountain, a basketball court, 2 food courts and quite a number of park benches and huts. I did notice that they don’t have the large huts for group activities so if you’re planning a group hangout and need sheltered sits for say 10-15 people, Tinubu park is best for you.I noticed the cute bird house setup that had books in it labeled ‘Open Library initiative’ but it wasn’t open 🙂🙃. I didn’t bother to ask the gatemen if they had the key to the cabinet though. The major benefit of this park compared to the Tinubu park is that it has a parking lot (comes with a small fee of N200) so you don’t have to worry about where to put your car or offloading picnic/party props by the road side when you arrive.

Its a good place for kids to have maximum fun. Adults? Not so much,a 6/7 year old child might harass you to get off the swing. If you are planning a picnic and you intend to bring your food,be ready to tip the security guards and even then theyll still harass you to hide the food. Its good for a first time date though if parks are your thing. There is also paintballing available here but I think you need to have a complete team to do that. This place is very good for pictures too.

Looking for a good, family friendly, secured and conducive park in the heart of Lagos? This is not something common around Lagos, however Ndubuisi Kanu park is one beautiful one. I love the natural enviroment, the sit out, and quite peaceful. Its is free when there are one to ten of you, but when more than ten, you need to write ahead of time to pay and obtain a permit otherwise your picnic/event/gathering will be disturbed. With the location, which is by Lagos State Government house, you can be sure of security to an extent. Remember you get to pay N200 to park your car😉.

The Kanu Indubuisi park is a perfect place for a date , a hang out, picnics , meetings or events. It has a good parking space , its in a beautiful and Serene environment, well secured. It Is located opposite the JJT park. It has well maintained toilets, a children section. It is open to the general public. However, they close by 6pm I wish they operate in the evening though.. You can also do a photoshoot though that will attract some extra cash. Its a place to go clear your head. It is owned and managed by the Lagos State government, it has good facilities for children. The children play area is well equipped with several options to choose from. Well maintained restrooms. It has also have a basketball court. I love the fountain that welcomes you as you step into the main arena. On days where they have events, parking can be a little difficult but the security will definitely help you out. About security? You have nothing to worry about. It is located in Alausa close to the governors b office, the Lagos Secretariat and the Lagos house of assembly. Entry is absolutely free and accessible to all. You can host a birthday party, an exhibition, a show etc. But to do this you must seek permission and it comes at a little cost. there are food vendors around just in case you need to munch something. Its just a great place do not expect something out of the ordinary.
