It was my first time at Uncle D’s and I wasn’t disappointed.You can see your food being prepared through the glass partition in the seating area and the food prep time didnt take long at all.I had the fusion burger which was a mix of chicken and beef patty and it was delish! The bun was just out of the oven, (I saw that through the glass partition, remember?) slightly toasted, yet soft. The cheddar cheese was just perfect and the burger sauce gave it that zing!It was the burger week so I got a mini burger that wasnt so tiny as an extra.

In my opinion they have the best pizza in Abuja. It takes a while, but it’s absolutely worth it. I recommend the Alfredo pizza specifically.

An overall good restaurant, good presentation, excellent customer service and enjoyable meals.For starters, we had Caesar Salad and Tortilla Nachos (with minced meat) with a guacamole dip (basically mashed avocados and cilantro). The Salad was fresh and well prepared. The Nachos was good and appetizing.We followed up with a Chicken Excellento Burger served with fries as side and Chicken Alfredo as the main course. These were also good-tasting although the Burger size was a little bit below what I’m used to as a standard burger size. To be honest, the starters were quite filling and could have passed as the main meal, unfortunately we didn’t realize how large the starter portions were.In summary, it is a simple restaurant, perfect for lunch.

If you want to make an order here, go with their pasta. Very good.

Uncle D’s is one of those places I think I could get to really like. On my maiden visit however, I wasn’t blown away. Here’s why:Customer service: when it did begin, service was pleasant. But I had to wait for quite a while even though there were only two other tables in use and both tables already had been served. I eventually had to walk to the pay counter, menu in hand to ask if I could place my order and was told a waitress would be with me and that still took some timeTaste: We liked the wings. Simple and tasty and a little sticky. I found the steak a little hard and using a regular table knife instead of a steak knife only made it worse. I had to send back for my steak to be cut and it was hardly any better. The accompanying mushroom sauce however, was really quite nice and I don’t like mushroom sauce 😂Ambience: I like Uncle D’s. There’s something about the dominant red chairs against the light streaming in from the huge windows that made for interesting dining. And the local cuisine section which is visible through the huge glass walls, provides a parallel dining experience which I found interesting tooPricing: an average of about 3,500 per dish.Pros: nice ambience, polite and friendly waitressCons: really slow service, hard to chew beefOverall experience: I wasn’t wowed by the experience which was disappointing as I’d read reviews which made me really eager to go. I hear they have movie nights in Thursday’s so I’ll be trying that out soon too

Casual setting with an extensive menu. Food is tasty, staff are courteous and helpful. They have a breakfast menu which many places dont seem to offer. They also offer delivery services. The ice cream and waffles are a must try!

Uncle Ds was an awesome experience. I would love to go there again. The food was both tongue and camera friendly. The staffs were very pleasant, taking orders and serving with a big smile on their faces. My only complaint is that the portions were quite small. But Id recommend Uncle Ds anytime any day.

The ambience of the restaurant is really really nice and the staff are super helpful and friendly. I loved the garlic bread (and I dont even like bread) and the Caesar salad was a foodgasm. The only downside I experienced was the LONG wait to get food and the prices being on the high side. All in all, this is a great place for a date or a memorable meal.

Good food for those who enjoy good old well made food. I personally loved their menu and how they had a variety of options. This place is pocket friendly and the staff were every so pleasant. Seems like it is an Abuja favorite as well. Also you can literally watch them make your meal, adds to the excitement of the experience. They had a good selection of fruit juice, which tasted divine by the way. All in all this place is highly recommended.

The atmosphere is pretty fancy and their rates isn’t so pricey.

Uncle Ds is one of the most amazing restaurants in Abuja. The attention to detail is everything. Lovely ambience, food is super great. Definitely try their combo meals. Best value for money. Very hygienic Restaurant. You can actually see your meals as they are preparing them. Would recommend over and over again.

I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Their wings are good, the tangy pepper is quite spicy which I didnt mind. I loved their ice cream and fries. The pizza was okay (nothing amazing) and the smoked chicken was good even though it was served cold. I heard the chicken excellento burger is very good.

I would have given Uncle Ds place a 5star but for not having drinks available last night, they get a 4star.Clean and serene environment. I am a regular. Food is fantastic and well made.

The food is great except for the spicy chicken wings. They need to give a heads up that it’s super super spicy and has ginger. The bbq chicken wings on the other hand are amazing! Uncle D was kind enough to swap our spicy wings for bbq ones.The wait for our main meal (salads) was pretty long and we had to alert them because it seemed our waiter forgot to do so. That’s the benefit of their open kitchen plan, they get to see how customers respond to their service.We enjoyed our salads. They were very fresh! It’s an ideal place for groups of friends to hang out because it’s spacious and cozy

Good well portioned meals, not for the faint hearted, lol.Its a small place and can get quite overcrowded every now and then but thats only a testament to the food served there.The head chef is a no-nonsense fellow and is very strict about the quality of food and service. Yay for us the customers, not so much for the staff, but thats exactly we get good standards constantly.You really should try their milkshakes, unless you are on a diet tho, because those shakes will kill any diet you are on with all that creamy and milky goodness😁Definitely recommend.

Very nice restaurant with a variety of meals offers. Theyve got it all. From salads; fruit salad, garden salad, shrimp salad to pasta salad. You can also come in for breakfast. Theyve got all sorts of sandwich. You also have the burgers, burrito and shawarma. Different combo meals and some continental dishes. The restaurant is clean and well managed.

I never knew it was a restaurant until i went there after classes to wait for my taxify. We ended up buying smoothies and meat pie... their meat pie was heavenly😂😂 we ended up coming back the next day.

They have the best pasta ever

The only good thing about the restaurant is the quiet and its a bit beautiful inside. But starting from entering theres no security or doorman to help open the door which was odd.Then I sat down expecting to be attended to but no-one came so I had to stand up to meet them at the counter as there was no bell or ringer to call their attention.Eventually they brought the menu and I thought it wasnt very pricey initially but very very limited. There was no snack or at least water given while waiting for the food to be ready which was rather strange.The entire restaurant was empty as there was just one other occupied table and the people even had finished eating but It took so long for the order to come in.On the menu, I ordered jollof rice with some sort of sauce and chicken of and my friend took their special spaghetti with tomato sauce.It was the biggest shocker of my life, there was no sauce whatsoever Just jollof rice and two pieces of chicken. The rice was very awful and was like i was taking stick. The chicken was worse. It tasted like it was glazed with weird tasting honey on the surface but the inside of the chicken was sooo bland. It tasted like there was no salt or seasoning in the chicken. It was a huge disappointment. That was when I realised paying 4,000 for that was a huge waste of money because the quality WAS HORRIBLE.My friend didnt enjoy the special spaghetti and was literally like thank God i took the tomato sauce cos I cant imagine what itd be like with the cheese sauce. Very Very terrible.The customer service was terrible also. 🤮. We were served without serviette or tissue, I had to request specifically after I ate. There was also a mistake when I was paying thank goodness I just decided to look at the receipt they gave me.The toilet was good though, neat and simple.Overall I had a terrible time. A DISASTER CLASS OF A RESTAURANT.I was supposed to have a nice time with my friend but oops i couldnt chew my food cos it was horrible, had to be swallowing without chewing.I hope my friend forgives me for such a terrible time.I honestly did not want to do this but Ive still not forgotten how what was supposed to be a special last night in Abuja was ruined by this place. 🚮I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Know this and know peace.I hope they change. this review was for food bought mid October, 2020.

The lasagna was to die for, but the wait was horrible was there for almost an hour thirty minutes. Maybe it was just a bad business day but will definitely see again some other time

The food here is pretty good, the burgers are pretty tasty and most other menu items are good as well. Their service is a bit slow and the staff dont work with any sense of urgency. The ambience is lively and the place is well decorated.

Was very hungry and stopped for a late lunch at the recommendation of a friend. Two of us shared the garden salad, spicy wings and seafood paella. Good food, decent portions and competent staff. Giving it a 4 because of the flies that were hanging around, otherwise it’s a pleasantly laid out place with the option to sit inside or outside. Was tempted by the bread I smelt, but it had finished by the time I was ready to buy. Nice fresh juices too

Terrible restaurant, terrible service, terrible food. Anyone can cook better than that. Extremely slow food preparation.

I will have the opportunity to rate uncle Ds again when I return for breakfast soon. This time I only had a drink, pineapple and ginger, a thrill! Very comfy setting, attentive waiters. Just this tiny issue of the smell of grease on my clothes (or maybe its actually in my mind).

I guess for Abuja standards it is ok. However hygiene is terrible.1. Staff eat plainly in the kitchen area, while prepping food too. This is unprofessional.2. I saw a staff clean his nose with his hands and then proceed to refill napkins on the tables.3. The menu looks awesome but food is subpar. They need to select what they wanna specialize in and focus and make it great. Too many things on that menu.
