A hidden gem and an underrated spot in the heart of busy Gana Street. The set-up is cool, with a loungy feel to it. Sanitary precautions are observed, with a requirement to wear masks for entry. The food is good and the portions are quite sizeable. Special mention for their chicken avocado burger. Theres also a pastries corner in case you want to pick up something for snacks after your meal. The waiters are nice and smiling. The only reason I did not put a 5-stars rating is that your food can take a looong time to arrive so they really need to work on that. Otherwise, fantastic spot!

The address consists of three different restaurants/ cafes namely Bacardi Café and Lounge, House 43 Restaurant and Bar, and Saffron Café. Its located on one of the busiest roads in Maitama, Abuja.Saffron Café, which was where I dined, had a nice ambience -the decor is simple and beautiful. The food is also tasty though expensive.The parking lot is not sufficient for one business not to talk of three.

An upscale cafe with a very nice ambience. Price is reasonable for the service provided. But be careful with their delivery service. Not one I’ll recommend.

On arrival, the parking area is small, so you can imagine what it will be like on Friday night & weekends. Entrance outside is well presented with a small garden. Entrance hall area is welcoming. Decor inside is contemporary feel, just like a hotel. LED lighting makes the ambience cool to relax & enjoy your meal. Seating area is small, so plan your visit, maybe even book ahead if need be. Food counter is neat & clean - kitchen area directly behind the food counter. Food on display is well presented. Choice selection on the day of my visit was minimal. Portion servings are big. Friendly staff. You have a choice of sitting in or takeaway. Tucked in the corner are a wash basin area to clean your hands. They also have toilets, if needed in an emergency. Toilet area is very clean & modern finishings. Prices for 2 people was N5000 including drinks.Id definitely come back again for more

Saffron Café is a good place to get some work done on your laptop while enjoying a happy meal. They have fresh juices and great salads. Their customer service is good too.You can have work meetings there if you’re looking to host a client/partner to business over lunch.It’s also good for brunch with friends. It gets pretty busy at lunch time though. So if you’re looking for a quiet time, go either before of after lunch time.

Beautiful and elegant setting..lovely location. Food looked well put together. Had the grilled salmon with asparagus salad and lamb with morroccan couscous and vegetables. It wad very exquisite to look at. Taste was wonderfulWill be there soon.

Nice place on first impression. Service was good enough. Waiter required that I drink some of my beer, so he could refill my glass, because he is not allowed to leave an empty bottle on my table. I was overcharged for my meal, I requested for the manager Ayo to fix it, he came by, took my charge invoice, then returned it via the waiter. He never showed up to offer any apology for the mistake of his establishment.

Easy to locate as its on Gana Street in Maitama. Great environment and the music is just right to suit the Friday mood.The price of food and drinks on the menu is not cheap but for a an upscale place like this, its affordable.Noticed the lounge upstairs is not accessible for those that are physically challenged but the restaurant downstairs is just okay as well.Would definitely be coming back here.

Its good for meetings, group hangouts and for those that want to be alone. Plenty efizzy 😁 but all good. FYI the smoothie/milkshake bar resumes by 11am/12pm, cant remember the exact time but it wasnt a suitable schedule for me, considering it was a Saturday, Id expect an earlier resumption.

I have eaten here 3 times. The food is excellent and abundant, the service is good.The reason I am giving only 3 Stars is because of Saffron cafe, a cafe where you cannot plug in your laptop. I always had the impression that a cafe, different from a restaurant, is a place where you can go and work while getting something to eat. So am I only welce there as long as my laptop battery lasts? They should either change the name or provide power outlets

I heard that their burgers were really good so I decided to try one. I got coffee and the House 43 beef burger. The coffee was really good. The burger was probably the worst burger Ive ever eaten. The bacon looked raw and pink, the cheese wasnt melted (they probably just slapped on a president cheese slice without even warming it up, the beef patty was sooo dry and tasteless. The description of the burger included an egg. I assumed it was a fried egg (thats pretty common) but it was a boiled egg. I decided to try anyways to see if it worked- it didnt.The coffee was really good though. Might go back to try something else on the menu.

Ambience calm

I would have given this place 5 stars because it is really lovely and clean and their food is really good. But they didnt have a cashier and the girls that served seemed inexperienced.. asides that, lovely places

Great place, great food and great atmosphere. Been there several times and love what the owner put up.I saw a different side to them once, Was treated very badly when I went there with a laptop. Was almost walked out of the place. I will give them a 3 star for this experience and probably not go back there.My advice to their management is to do a customer relations training with the (not all) and change the laptop policy.

I super enjoy the place. I was at Barcadi and i had chips and chicken sausage sharwama. It was superrrrrrr delicious and their customer service was on point. I got chocolate muffins from Saffron cafe and it was sooooo yummy. I am a foodie and i know good food when i taste one. I love House forty three...you guys will definitely see more of me.

Review for @Saffron Coffee >> An okay cafe with a decent space but the owners or staffs don’t see the need to have a socket for you to charging. After raising a complaint and asking to leave a feedback the barrister said it’s not a cyber cafe. I’m more disappointed that this place however nice has a bad and arrogant customer service. It’s a coffee shop wannabe. If you order your coffee in to go you get charged extra for the cup (this is very new to me).

Every bite, a promise kept! Really large tasty portions. Great ambience. Those napkins though... a little stiff but didnt take anything away from the deliciousness of the moment. Richard waited and was always just a wink away. Thank you and well be back!

Emphasis on house. A bit at loss on a suitable description. Its safe to say Home. The quality of service, bewildering. These waiters are super stars of their profession. Never have I ever seen such service. A bit of wait it will take for the meal to get ready, but when theyre presented before you, bite after bite, minute after minute, you begin to appreciate the chefs, farmer, cook, waiter and restaurant whove made that dish possible. The meals feel deliberate and customized. Each day theres a special combo and its announced on a specials board. The standards are off the charts, there are no benchmarks to compare house 43. This is a benchmark in its own right, you can peg others to this.

Theres a cafe, a bar & lounge, and a restaurant here; all owned by different establishments so it can get a little confusing. Bacardi is cosy, so if you want to meet over drinks thats the place to go. Sao cafe is more for quick bite or a work meeting. House 43 itself is a nice restaurant with good food on the menu.The parking space isnt too big so it can get really busy in the afternoons.

They have good coffee, for Abuja their prices are OK. Cakes and pastries are nice so long as they are fresh (do check!) However their food menu is lacking, the bread they use for sandwiches is often sweet and they use some horrible spread instead of butter. The staff are nice, dont overcharge and do their job. Theres also a resident cat to keep rodents and lizards in check. Overall a nice place!

House forty three has good meals and really nice confectioneries. The food takes minimal time before its heated and served. It could also be a hide out restaurant with a parking space within its premises.

Upscale coffee and restaurant with multiple bars, restaurants and coffee shop inside the same structure. Wide selection on their menu. I went for coffee only but tried out their salad which was on point! A bit pricey thoughUpscale crowd even on a working day afternoon.There is outside sitting if you want, parking is well organised and they fit in a surprising large number of cars inside the compound.Waiters are cheerful and attended to us fast and took note of what we wanted (not always the case at some places).I was waiting for a late flight and had no issues spending an hour plus here, magazines available but check the date before you read too far!Recommended if you are in Abuja and want good coffee

Nice atmosphere, seems quite popular as a lunch time spot for workers near by. The rice and chicken was dry as it had been on the hot plate for some time although the food was still tasty.

Saffron was always my go to coffee shop in abuja..service is often flaky though aside from Henry who always goes above and beyond! Bacardi was sub par..dont order the mojito please
