The Uyo Township Stadium looked abandoned. Theres no football pitch. The pavilion has been destroyed by winds. No maintenance of the place. Infact no football activities or any other sporting events can hold here, judging from the state of the dilapidated infrastructure.

I dont hate it I love this

Because state government has been using the stadium rather than abandon it completely as the state boost of a new one with modern facilities now.

Front of the stadium there is a cool relaxation place called discovery park

Uyo township stadium is a mini stadium that can accommodate from 8,000 - 10,000 people. Its not a world class stadium thought, but many events of world class has been hosted here. The largest choir that broke the world record was assembled here.

Yes is confirmed that the township Stadium got sport accessories for spotters, security is put in place for protection of individual,it is informed that politicians usaully use the stadium for there election campaign flagout ,the Township Stadium is also eligible for entertainment,and other favorites events,one most amazing strategy of the township Stadium is that,it open for local and international events with a cost.

The state government has allowed the stadium to fall short of maintenance. Perhaps because the state now has a new staduim (Godswill Akpabio International Staduim). The place is really bad for a stadium.As you can see the roof of the pavilion is falling off and all.

This 5000 seater multipurpose stadium is home to the NPFL team, Akwa United.Up until last year, it was host to the annual Christmas Akwa Ibom Carol, one of which holds the Guinness World Record for largest choir singing at once {9999}.Though a bit old and in need of upgrades, structure is solid and can easily host major events.

Situated close to main market within the town, its often the venue of various events: religious, sports, political. Its surrounded by businesses and a renowned relaxation spot - Discovery Park. The size of the stadium is small though, compared to a standard stadium.

Old Sports arena. Now GOA (Nest of Champions) stadium is the new destination for sports, games and other even international events.

Calm and cool breeze with little sport activities here every evening. However, on Saturday morning by 7am, its a place you wont want to leave.
