This is the first maritime institution in Nigeria, started as Nautical College of Nigeria and later metamorphosed into Maritime Academy of Nigeria. This great institution has produced many leaders of industries and some law makers.

It is a good maritime training center

Its a one stop place for all, who find himself/herself in Oron, Akwa ibom state. I appreciated the paintings and architectural design of buildings, the clean and well moulded walkways, nice drainages, security elevated measures and easy navigable of the whole premises, including the jetty.
