You can get a tricycle to almost anywhere here but the rowdiness of this place is one where youll have to watch your front,back and even sides to avoid being knocked down by oncoming vehicle or pedestrians

Its located at the centre of the capital city, Uyo. The area is quite chaotic and more often than not, contributes to traffic jams. Vehicles load and transport passengers to different areas within and outside the city. A little more organization would not only benefit the pedestrians, but other road users as well.

Plaza is the heart of city of Uyo. It basically allows you to access every major road, such as Oron road, Abak road, Wellignton Bassey/Barracks road, Ekpene road, and Nwaniba road. With a plethora of shops, stalls, petty traders and the ever interesting wrist watch mallams, the place is almost always buzzing with life.If you towards ikot Ekpene road on foot l, youll find lots of eatery and restaurants such as De Choice, Apples, Pa creams further up the road (to name but a few) where you can eat and relax.Walk in the opposite direct towards Oron road and youll find Slot, Pointek stores, and lots of stores where phones and phone accessories are sold.Generally speaking, this scenerio can be a bit overwhelming for someone who is stepping into Uyo for the first time.

This is the heart of Uyo town, the central part of the town where business of any kind could be found Especially in the evening.

They are more organized than where I come from, though theyre still Nigerians

Unsanitary. But of course. It is a garage after all. Its a plain opening with keke mechanics and kekes. The ground is as black as soot. There seems to be no sort of order.

A central place where you can see Tricycles for Abak Rd, Aka Rd, IBB way, Oron/Airport Rd, Nwaniba Rd, etc

It can be better if provision is made for pedestrians to cross the road.

Plaza is at the heart of the capital City of Uyo, Akwa ibom state.Its also act as the central Business District of the town and the commercial center of the city. If you getting lost, just find your way to Plaza and you can locate where ever you are going.Mini buses are available to take you to any part of Uyo, which would link to other parts that buses wont go directly. Tricycles or popularly called keke aint allowed around plaza, only the mini bus.Theres a shopping mall, Infinix store, a tecno store and other mobile stores around there. You can also get shoes and wears around... Anything you could think of. And there is a bar to drink close to the old famous NIPOST office.

Theres no motor cycles within this axis. Tricycles (Keke) are available as well as mini buses and taxis. Commercial vehicles could be found to almost all parts of Uyo from here.

Be careful when walking here as it is a well know spot of getting robbed.

This is like the centre of Uyo, here you can find mini buses, taxis or tricycles that would move you to most part of Uyo and Akwa Ibom state, but you need to be security conscious around here or you may loose your valuables to hoodlums and try not to hang around here alone

One must be very careful not to miss in the crowd because its always rowdy and first timers might miss it there

Pick Keke to abak road, ibb, ekom Iman. Take taxi to ikot ekpene road, Oron road, Nwaniba, etc. It well arranged but can be busy at late evening.

Very rowdy. One has to be really careful as alot of pocket picking is being done.

The place is very rowdy...first timer need be very careful. Lot of pocket picking, unlawful behavior happens there as well

Organised but too many touts

This is a busy area in Uyo. Some reckless keke drivers are found there. One have to be very careful with the keke drivers because they can hit someone and run away. There are thieves around there also, so one need to be careful with his or her belongings when found there. I am saying all these because my phone was stolen from my pocket around there.

The most disorganized garage in the city of Uyo. Mini Buses and Tricycles are parked on the road obstructing vehicular and human movement. Avoid this area especially at Night, because Tricycles coming from Ikpa Road drive one-way like mad puppies.

Plaza is a neighborhood extension of the popular IBOM Plaza, which has an event and viewing center, a post office, bank, famous circus, and a business area. The Keke Garage so called is not a garage perse but a stopping point or terminal and a taking off point for Keke coming from mostly Aka road, Abak road, Oron road, Nwaniba road, Ikot Ekpene road, Ikpa road. They cause terrible traffic when it is evening. They serve as a ready and affordable transportation to commuters. Collecting as low as 30 Naira depending on distance.

Local transport systems not the best but it transport you from point A to B

When you are around the Keke plaza, please be very vigilant. Some cases of pick pocketing and stealing especially at night.
