A federal medical Center in Umuahia also known as Queen Elizabeth hospital. Full and made up of various departments and also have a nursing School in it. Nice with large landmass. Lovely and nice doctors to attend to you but lots of protocols to pass through

Havent been here in a long time.. I noticed news buildings are being erected and some of their procedures has been upgraded, its not yet at its best, but I must commend the hospital for the improvements I noticed.

Federal Medical Centre is located at a strategic location in Umuahia, with Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene, Aba and Bank roads accessible to it.To a large extent, its the go to facility for those looking for a good facility. The wait time is relatively long, depending on what you are there for and the time of arrival.Probably after future appointment, I may consider a 4 star for service delivery.

Formerly Queen Elizabeth hospital it is located at the heart of umuahia along Aba road. It one of the federal government owned medical centres across Nigeria rendering different medical services to patients both adult and children. It boasts of many consultants in different medical fields. Opens 24 hours in a day. There is a high level of accessibility awareness the medical centre, hence it has a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking.

This hospital is a land mark,is called federal medical center ! Is owned by the government, and have doctors that runs medical activity like orthopedic, ophthalmologist , also have a dentistry, It houses alot of professional doctors and also offer NHIS.. the comply to covid 19 protocols.

Its a nice hospital with many facilities. And with different departments which includesSurgery, internal medicine, orthopedic, hematology, anesthesia, community medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, nursing service pharmacy, security and Works department.

They give selective services and are not responsive to emergency situations.

I actually enjoyed the services of this hospital. The doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab scientists and others were friendly. Though the waiting time maybe a bit long, but everyone would still be attended to.

Its a federal hospital with quality health care services in most of their wards. Its really big and thus require a lot of trekking after you park.

First try to call the contact line for an emergency, no one picked, several calls to get across to them proved abortive.How can someone who is not reliable and insensitive be detailed to be in charge of such sensitive and important position ?? Im going to make a special and comprehensive report on this to the minister of health.By the way, are we supposed to be seeing one star rating on this platform when it has to do with our health system ? Too bad.. We must change the narrative..

Federal Medical Centre Umuahia, a hospital with difference, large compound and competent workers

Federal Medical Centre also known as Queen Elizabeth Specialist Hospital before is a federal hospital situated in Umuahia along Aba road. The hospital is well designed and planned. Before when Abia state was under IMO state is was an IMO state hospital. It has qualified trained doctors, nurses, physiotherapist, laboratory scientists etc, trained both home and abroad. Its problem is that it doesnt attend to patient promptly.

Was excited to see a whole new structures in this everyday young hospital after 5 years. Located in the heart of the state capital and serves as the only Federal Medical Center in the state. The hospital complex warehouse both residential areas, FMC chapel, hospital administration blocks, maternity and accident wards, and ICU and surgery theaters and a mogue. The parking spaces are well secured (with few instances of car theft).

I was born here in 1967 during the civil war. The Hospital was known then as Queen Elizabeth Specialist Hospital. With its status upgraded as a federal medical centre, the hospital has witnessed amazing positive changes.

They were not Customer centric and service driven. One of my twins had a fractured arm and took them 16hrs to perform an x-ray which finally was of poor quality. Exposing my son to excessive gamma Ray. We had to do the X-ray in abia specialist hospital whom had a customer focused and service orientation. Whom realize staff and customer satisfaction is key for repeated buy/sales.

The best place to get thorough medical attention, though often plagued by incessant industrial action due to bad Government policies and irregular welfare package delivery. The best medical-practitioner combinations are no doubt available here.

A big Hospital. The Management should look into complaints of deads due to negligence. The Last time I went in the emergency section I witnessed death, and also today. A man was vocally pouring out his anger on the institution for not doing the necessary to stop dead of his persons.
