Nice structure. Haa a good ambience at the reception, swimming pool, functional elevator. However, room 303 where I was lodged had leaking flexible under the water heater, shower head was faulty and the cover gave way. Also the door did not lock properly! I called at night for change in bedsheet because I felt it was not fresh, but the reception said they could not provide at that time.The house keeper should ensure all facilities are working before allocating the room. Faults should be given prompt attention

Southern Star is a home away from home. Great manager and team. Quite and lovely place. Try their chicken and chip its wonderful. I will recommend it anyway any time.

Its a nice, and lovely place. I love the ambiance, and their price is ok, compared to other places, but i didnt enjoy the food, ordered chips, and chicken their chicken wasnt as tasty as i thought, but their prices are fair, and their environment is lovely, they also have a bush bar.

This is a hotel with the idea of a 5 star but falls short of its own standards mainly because of non maintenance of its facilities. The rooms are spacious and lighting is good. However, the bathroom is not good. Theres a sense of nonchalance towards the way the bathroom is kept. I had a problem with my room but the staff were really helpful and it was changed. Didnt eat their food except once, but even at that I think it was good. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The area is secured and quiet, which is also a great plus to them. If I ever have to stay in Port Harcourt again, I will give this hotel a look in.

The room is wide enough and contains the essential amenities for a modern hotel. The hotel complex itself is well secured more so its instead cocian estate arguably one of the safest estate in Port Harcourt with armed mobile police men.The food is also good. I had a wonderful breakfast.Its just the best around.

Very beautiful place in a safe and serene environment, you can come out, feel safe, stroll around, shop around the estate no matter your race or tribe, its very safe and nice. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet with good shops, parking spaces and a hospital. Nice staff. Although their rooms can be quite expensive, its worth it.

Facility looks classy.Hotel is situated in a good environment.Staff members are well mannered.They got expensively good foods and drinks at the restaurant and bar.The worst part about the hotel is that there is no amenities whatsoever; no gym, no swimming pool, no night club, etc.

Good ambiance in and out. The generator is rubbish though - lights flicker when the generator is running and its been this way for months!Meals are good generally.
