This is a government owned specialist hospital where they take care of all kinds of ailments and where the house men practice what they have read / will be seeing and treating henceforth under the supervision of senior specialists doctors . There are various clinics both inpatient and outpatient. The compound is nice and clean but there are not enough bed spaces in the wards especially the emergency ward . I took my sister to the emergency unit and she had to stay on the stretcher for two days until a bed was available in the female medical ward . I am aware that new buildings are springing up in the compound to accommodate more offices and expand its scope. Overall, its the hospital for the Masses :- centrally located and affordable .
A general hospital located in Port Harcourt city that specializes in the treatment of a lot of ailments. Maternal care available. Well built and located. Now called Rivers State University teaching hospital. Parking area available with ease of accessibility
Infrastructure is falling apart, overcrowded wards, but some effort to give the place a new face is ongoing, but they can do better. I saw some facilities like mobile hospitals rotting away. Helpful staff, but they can do more if motivated more.
My mother had arthritis and people referred us to this hospital for mums treatment. The hospital is in a very horrible state. Just like most of the institutions I have been to in Nigeria. Everything you can think of is in total shamble. From the very unprofessional staff to the treatment. I advice you dont take your loved one to a place such as this. I wouldnt even take my enemy there. God have mercy!!!
Small state owned hospital. Gets really busy and you may feel neglected by staff. Wards are full and could be cleaner. Im glad theyre getting new equipment in their radiology department.
State of the art government hospital
I visited the hospital today, everything seemed okay. Downside was the queue at the pay point. Only one teller available. I had to be on queue for 1 hour and 34 minutes to buy the hospital card of N600, and came back to queue for an hour just to pay N500 for service fee. Also noticed that the hospital didnt have a POS Machine service. Tiring payment process. Asides that, good hospital.
