Wood House Cafe!A place of relaxation with serene and secure environment that is accessible by all persons and vehicles. Great for dates, hookups and team bonding, services cuts across nationales and foreigners with mouth watery continental dishes and variety drinks. Service charge is standard and affordable.
I first became aware of Woodhouse café in 2018, looked forward to having brunch for a long time with heightened expectations so heres what I met.Firstly, the lady that attended to me was mild and calm. I like to way she said Breakfast is served when she brought my meal, customer service is huge for me. The decor is lit for a brunch. The music was bland but who cares anyway.A very decent restroom and a beautiful scenery. My four-star is because they didnt prepare the egg well but I enjoyed my meal generally. You should check them out when you are in town!
When eating out, I personally seek aesthetics and ambience before even the food.Aesthetics would definitely be a 90/100 for meFood 70/100 (I had a club: chicken and cheese sandwich) which was actually like the best out of everything we orderedIm rating this place a 4 star and not 5 because of the music, for a cafe the music downstairs in the cafe was quote too loud but for the rooftop there the music was all goodAll in all its a chill place to visit
My favorite is here is usually the spring roll and samosa (for small chops of course) and then the dirty English smoothie. But on this day I decided to have fresh juice and my usual (small chops). The small chops didnt taste fresh here and the juice was ordinary. Everything else here is great! The settings and the interiors are perfect if you ask me..
Small cozy spot with Great food, and nice ambience. Courteous staff. Ill definitely visit again next time Im in the Garden city
Lovely interiors and a welcome difference in PH... I had fried yam with sauce and though delicious, 2 sticks were not well fried. Also, you might need to ask for more sauce with your yam. Their chips were nicely done and the chicken wings were delicious. My husband had jollof rice with fried plantain... It was not hot and the plantain was not so great.
Lovely environment, wonderful staff too. Its a nice place to sit out
Please bring back your detailed menu that has pictures... This new menu you use is like a downgrade from the standard you started with.Aside that, everything is beautiful there!
For a city that was once so full of life, it was a relief to find a place like Wood House cafe.Port Harcourt city is a shadow of itself. A once bubbling city, filled with people, exotic places and the unavoidable hangouts..The insecurities plaguing the state; killings and kidnappings to list a few would not have you wonder why the night life there is nonexistent. When its 8pm, everywhere is deserted except in places like GRA. I wouldnt blame the scared citizens. You then can understand my excitement when I found wood house cafe. The ambience is homely. You will just want spend all your money and stay longer. Beautiful decor and courteous staff.Their service is a bit slow but on the other hand, you have a variety of games to keep you busy even if you have to play it over and over until your food arrives.Menu includes a variety of light food and very affordable. Yes it is, when compared to Lagos. My food cost 2k excluding drinks.I had drumsticks..hmmm.so juicy and well cooked and seasoned.
The customer service is okay, the special fried rice and other things I took there but the turkey sauce wasnt nice and the turkey wasnt tasty enough, you guys should work on it.Then the ambiance is something to write home about.
Nice environment but its quite small.. The space is small.. If you love space especially when youre out, I dont think youd like it that much.. The tables are not far from each other.. Feels like everyone is in your face.. But apart from that.. The food is nice, the setting is beautiful.. Its literally a Woodhouse.. Awesome cocktails
Good Ambience felt very good but not value for money.
Nice meal.. cool environment, sweet food😀😀, the inside is old fashioned restaurant look.l, thats what made it beautiful.
Well situated, off the popular Sani Abacha Road in GRA Port Harcourt.Compact spacing with nice retro wood themed interior. Air conditioning will be inadequate when filled with guests.Service can be a lot better though, it took me about 20 minutes to get served a beer! The menu is quite tacky; should be replaced.
I had a good time, it was refreshing to know that ph has a place like this. The spring rolls was tasty, my smoothie was good too. It’s really cozy and beautiful in there.I think the wait time has improved a bit or maybe i got lucky as against the information i was given. Generally i had a good time and i ll recommend!
A nice spot to hang out with great and amazing food /delicacies
So it was on our convocation day and I picked a restaurant that I and my friends could have quite some good tasty food. Yea, Wood house Cafe it is. The location of the Cafe is awesome. Oh, the warm reception of the waiters could make your day. The best part, food. We loved the spicy taste of our chicken wings down to our Basmati Fried Rice. I still have the taste in my mouth.. The place is really a perfect spot for good pictures...Yea, you heard me. My experience was perfect. Just so you know, I came back the next day.
Its a small cosy place with wood furnishings just as the name implies. Customer service relation is excellent and the food is delicious though a bit pricey. I fell in love with their vanilla milk shake. Overall, its a nice spot.
Wood House cafe is a beautiful nice african setting mixed with western spice restaurant layout. I was impressed with the way you can have access to some traditional Nigerian games while you wait for your order. I noticed that have a wheel chair entrance at the entrance, which is commendable. However, the air conditioning was not very chilly inside and they also had a blender inside the cafe for blending fruits which had a loud sound that is not comfortable to the ears of customers. In general, i love the variety of their menu and how you can combine various foods.
Nice place to eat and play indoors game
Woodhouse Cafe is a one of the nicer chill spots in port harcourt. The decor is really nice, a collection of wood and antiques that gives it a really nice retro look. That being said, the staffs are quite lukewarm. I had to signal one over about 5 mins after I entered. Also I ordered a burger and it took an hour to get ready. To me, that’s inexcusable, I mean, it’s just a burger. I got it to go, and the lady forgot to put ketchup with the fries and I had to drive back to get it. I would have given a 2 star for the bad service; but the food is nice so leaving it at a 3. Plus they are also environmental friendly as I didn’t get plastic with my take away order (except the little ketchup container) . That’s commendable. Everything was wrapped in paper. That being said, I don’t think I’ll be going back there. Poor service is a big turn off.
Really nice restaurant and I love that I can play board games while waiting for my meal.
Cozy, romantic and beautiful are words I would use to describe it.The ambience is great, music is good, staff are courteous. Environment is clean and location is OK.The place has a rustic feel and they serve a variety of American stuff. Stay away if all you want is isiewu or Eba and soup. They serve good coffee, yummy milkshake, spirits, beer, wine etcThen you get to decide if you want cheesecake, mozzarella chips, sandwich, breakfast at dinner and so on.You also can play board games. I played ludo and I think chess is available.Theres free wifi, so while you munch your selection of meats or snacks and drinks, you can upload your pix and location on social media, lol.Id love to visit again. Its a great place and its an ideal place for a date...
Wood house cafe is cafeteria you can come for food, drinks and games. You could come with family and friends for burgers, seafood, English breakfast, cappuccino, milkshakes, mocktails, coffee, tea, cocktails, spaghetti, etc.The ground floor is family-friendly where children and toddlers can eat and play because it is smoke-free. The first floor is mainly for adults because cigarettes and shisha which could be uncomfortable sometimes.Actually one of the coolest places to hangout with friends and family in Portharcourt.
Very nice place, good ambient and the food was nice.
Woodhouse is a very professional cafe they have good food and professional staff with good customer service
You’ll order something and they’ll give you something else talking about sorry , sorry for what ? Taking my order wrong countless times , Resturants in ph need to do better godforbid
I liked their Banana smoothie - and I am not much of a smoothie person so this should hold something.Lovely interior, its obvious a lot of thought went into the aesthetics. You get hit by some sort of musky scent when you get in. I am told it is coffee, although I believe a mix of it and actual human not-too-good scent can be unsettling at first.Good hangout zone.
Last year when I visited Woodhouse for my birthday I had a good time. Food was amazing the ambiance was ideal enough to ignore the 1 hour delay in receiving my bill even though I requested for it numerous times. I ordered the butterfly prawn, beef burger with bacon and fries in addition to chicken drumsticks, the highlight being the butterfly prawns which gave me an aura of nostalgia for the Chinese dinners I enjoyed as a child with my family at Presidential Hotel. The food was so good that I recommended Woodhouse to anyone that would hear...that was until a few weeks ago. I suppose with most things in Port Harcourt, it runs down after a few years. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The evening went as follows. Firstly the music was too loud for a quick dinner at 7pm. I spoke to a waitress telling her it’s been a long work day I just want to chill with my colleague so please turn down the music, I mean this is meant to be a cafe not a club. She obliged but the music never came down a decibel. I repeatedly asked for the music to be reduced and nothing came of it. It was until I decided to speak to a manager that suddenly the music dimmed. Then came the food. I ordered for Butterfly Prawn (it’s my fave) and my colleague ordered chicken drumsticks and fries. There was a delay in the order but I payed no mind that is until the food came. Granted my butterfly prawns were ideal (although short by 1) my colleagues food was nothing to write home about. I would best describe it as the scraps from previous customers reheated and served. The fries were too obviously reheated from a batch that was rejected, it was too salty and cold and soggy. The chicken was room temperature and worst of all old chicken. Oh and my colleague ordered grilled chicken and received stewed chicken. I should add that my colleague is a part time chef and I’m no stranger to the kitchen. The food was so bad it was inedible and The cherry on top was one of the waiters going back and increasing the volume of the music. We asked for the bill and left the cafe with my colleague unable to consume the food she was served. That night I left utterly disappointed. Generally as a Nigerian I just expect bad customer service but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Will I ever go back? Honestly I don’t know. Would I recommend? Maybe but not without a warning
A cool place to relax and meet people .Ambience is okay ..Food is average...Service is okay with jovial staff ..
Nice and cozy. Good range of finger foods, grubs & drinks to pick from.
Lovely environment, nice food. Dont come here really hungry, you would wait a bit to be served food
Very nice place to hang out with friends and loved ones.
Good experience...has a calm environment
Cool place, nice food
Nice place but can get a little noisy when crowded.
Been disappointed here a few times, but hoped those were just bad days. Looks like its just the way they are.Today, I had the worst breakfast ever! Got rare instead of well done fried egg, and the egg had shells in it! Didnt get the right juice, pancakes and waffles tasted bland, bacon and sausages were cold.I have to give up on this place now. Nice ambiance is all it has. Kitchen staff must be really lazy...
Nice theme...nice background music.good for pictures but slow service...I dont know if its because of the valentines day or something else
Really nice place, enjoyed their milkshake so much
It’s a very cozy place great milkshakes, amazing breakfast and to add to it board games. It’s a place you want to hangout with friends all the time
Nice place to hang out with friends...Food is affordable and yummy...will visit again.
Excellent food and scenery as usual but consumer service pales in comparison
Great food and love the place
Cool and nice relaxation spot
The food took a while to arrive despite that there wasnt much crowd. Asides that the food was OK. Nice ambience too. A bit on the pricey side tho.
The vibe was cool but the inside was quite hot
The place was welcoming and there services was great.👍
