Its a nice polytechnic, they offer variety of courses. The school offer a very good practical classes. Very good at practical courses. They also offer degrees, due to its affiliation. They also offer Chinese language diploma course. I think you should start making arrangements for your wards. Oko polytechnic is a very good choice.

The school has a well conducive environment for learning

This is a federal polytechnic located in Oko town, in Anambra State. It has very nice and modern buildings and structure.There is a standard football field in the middle of the school. The building housing the Rectors office is popularly called Aso Rock by the students. It is one of the Admin buildings in any case. There is a second Admin building which accommodates other administrative staff and personnel.It has several other buildings for the various departments in the school, including Mass Communication, Fine and Applied Art, Engineering, Science Laboratory Technology, Library Science, Marketing, Agriculture, Architecture, Estate Management, Food Science Technology, Printing Technology, Clothing and Fashion Design, Office Technology Management, Urban and Rural among others. There is also an office block for Confucius School (Chinese), as the school also provides training in Chinese language.Some of these departments have their admin blocks at the Permanent site, not too far from the present campus (Up School).There is the presence of few banks inside the school, including Access Bank (only ATM) and Union Bank (with full banking activities).However, the school lacks basic lecture halls as students still take lectures under uncompleted buildings and open spaces. Also, some of the lecture halls do not have standard chairs for sitting as most of the chairs are more or less like primary school benches without back rest.The school is really undergoing lots of infrastructural developments as can be seen with the number of buildings under construction both at the Up School and the Permanent Site. It is expected that these will also come with standard lecture halls with modern seats/chairs conducive enough for the students for learning.

Federal Polytechnic, Oko — the digital polytechnic of the moment!However, note that the initial location of the institution was not accurate, but I have edited that to be represented by the schools Main Gate, located just by Ekwulobia-Umunze Rd on Google Maps. You will see, if Google approves my edited location, that the main sports and football field of the school appears just by the Main Gate as popularly called, which is the Main School Gate. You will also see, SBS and Estate Management buildings including the two opposite Prof. Godwin Onus built medical center blocks, all close to the Main Gate as is in reality. Tracing carefully, you will also see the schools old Auditorium building marked as Auditorium leading to the back gate, which leads down to the Permanent Site of the school institution.

My Alma mater, Federal Polytechnic Oko is one of the best Polytechnics in south east Nigeria. With some conducive classrooms students can relax while receiving lectures from their lecturers. The environment is safe and i can say is one of the most peaceful High institution in South Eastern Nigeria (If not the best). But due to the population of students some classrooms are highly congested and can be hazardous to students having respiratory diseases.

Its a good school but very stressful and expensive to live in.. From the different dues to foodstuffs in the market are all expensive.
