I stayed at the cattle ranch for 11 days. It was a worthwhile experience. Breathtaking view when weather is clear, clean air. Its a place to go fir vacation. Weather is extremely cold with fog 🌫 But I will love to go back again. The people are also friendly.

At 2000 meters above sea level, you will be awed by the winding roads, beautiful scenery as you climb to the peak and the enveloping feeling and environment around you. Its a must visit for me again!

By Nature’s default it’s a beautiful place to visit, the weather and scenery is definitely worth the hype.Management & maintenance level is poor, we opted for the mountain cabins, upon checking into the rooms it had this strong dusty smell, pillows were dirty and too thin, the toilet bow didn’t seemed like it was cleaned after the last guests who lodged in the room.The resort food was basic and unnecessarily expensive. If you are visiting, don’t forget to pack some snacks, alcohol (if you drink), beverages, & warm clothings if you are visiting during the rainy season.I would advice group visits as it’s more fun 🤩Overall it was a decent experience

Take a break from the routine life, drive up the ranch to enjoy some time alone, in the outdoors.

Driving up and down the ranch is another experience on its own, very technical and should not be undertaken lightly.The ranch facilities need lots of maintenance now and tourists should not take for granted the integrity of the facilities.

Obudu cattle ranch is an amazing resort for a getaway. For starters, the road is accessible! Though it is a long drive from any nearby airport...The weather is to die for! At an altitude of about 1700 meters above sea level, it is mostly cold up at the ranch. Irrespective of the time of the year you visit, it is advisable to pack warm! Thick clothing, socks, mittens/hand gloves, head warmers, scarves, etc.The scenery is one to die for! With mountain top views, there are activities to do like hiking, visiting and taking dips in waterfalls and natural pools, a water park, horse riding, canopy walk, etc. Unfortunately, the cable car hasnt been operational for some time now.Food: if you are going with a private car, it will be best you go with your essentials ad you can make your own meals! Esp. if you will be staying in the apartments. They come with a refrigerator and a kitchen. However, the ranch has a restaurant.There are several accommodation types to suit different budgets. The apartments are a 3 bedroom duplex, really nice for a family or group of friends. Available also are the single and deluxe rooms with single beds and double beds.Obudu cattle ranch is a must-visit destination in Nigeria.

Very similar to other reviews, breathtaking scenery and sence of peace. Cabins good quality but electric and water only at certain times. Food menu very limited, noodles N3000?.Overall enjoyed whole experience and would recommend to everyone to visit.

Beautiful place with epic breath taking views. Nature at its best!!! You will see the clouds floating within reach. I totally enjoyed my visits there and would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in going.

The ranch has been abandoned by its management, the rooms are inhabitable and the environment is very unkempt.Very poor hospitality, their staff are poorly trained and nonchalant. It was a very disappointing experience.

Obudu Mountain Resort is about 1,700 ft above see level. The weather is so foggy and you will enjoy the serenity, ambience of this resort. Its worth visiting.

Fascinating places that defy boredom. Intriguing sites to remember everyday. Cool environment enhanced by low pressure of high altitude and moderated temperatures arising from differing motions of water vapour.

The beauty of this place is gradually depleating and unless a strong move is made, things will go down really fast. I would advise that you manage your expectations while visiting.

A truly magical, secluded and naturally beautiful place. Awesome weather, lovely serene- the hills, the natural waterfalls, the sight and feel of the clouds...,so unreal.However, the accommodation needs an upgrade. Non constant power is a minus too. The generator is only put on in the night and sometimes very early, before dawn- only for about 7 or 8 hours cumulatively.Internet access is very limited or even non existent- depending on ones service provider. I will strongly advise to go with an MTN sim/line.Rounded up with a beautiful bon fire night on our last night.A truly amazing experience...

Obudu Mountain Resort (formerly known as the Obudu Cattle Ranch) is a  and resort on the  in Cross River State, Nigeria. It was developed in 1951 by M. McCaughley, a Scot who first explored the  in 1949. He camped on the mountaintop of the on the  for a month before returning with Mr. Hugh Jones, a fellow in 1951. Together with Dr Crawfeild, they developed the Obudu Cattle Ranch.

Beautiful very bad service rooms OK but little power. Food is very disappointing chicken is all they have and its like robber. Recommend for day visit but you almost have to overnight no place else close but limit to one and bring own snacks and drinks. Although lovely nothing works. Also lots of area boys around secure your stuff.

Still not out of my bucket list, the fogs didnt let me get magnificent views of the mountains but the weather here comes with its own BLISS 😍

It was a great and unique place to go have fun with friends and family.I enjoyed my stay there.I used approx. 11months in that area and it was splendid to tour the ranch.I went there two to three times before leaving the village.

It was fun going round the ranch, having a look at the natural features like the mountains, water fall, reserved areas and the buildings. However the ranch activities like life band, cable car, and restaurant that would have made my moment complete were not functional

A worthy vacation spot. Lovely scenery. Breathtaking to say the least. However, the food needs to be improved upon. I didnt find any of the meals particularly tasty. First time visitors should note the ranch is more like a campus.I enjoyed my stay and would do it again.

Its nice for a quick vacation ,the rides are exciting and thrilling but make sure to go when its not rainy season and carry a lot of sweaters because it can get quite cold at night. Though the place is not well maintained now I still recommend you going

If you are in Nigeria and looking for a place to relax and escape from the scorching sun and the subsequent heat then this ranch is the perfect place. Located high on to the obudu mountains where the weather is absolutely cool and cold sometimes. The scenery is serene with lots of interesting places to visit, from the canopy walk to the warm spring. This is a memorable place. Oh there is a swimming pool at the foot of the mountain

The Sites were all natural and interesting... Obudu is just amazing , but the government should try and properly maintain the resort and also something needs to be done on food expenses and availability .Privatisation is an option though

Obudu cattle ranch is an exciting place for tourist. it high altitude and mountainous environment puts it in a class of it own. The car train drive from one location to the other and the beautiful forest is a memory that keeps the bang!

Cold and serene

Nature never dies, obudu is still A very beautiful attraction to visit. Ive been there about 7 times now and I would still return if chanced. Id recommend you go through a travel agent/agency (like xperience tour) if you want to get the most out of your trip. And the last time I visited which was a week ago they were working on the cable cars, so it should be working soon!
