To me, post office is like the center of Maiduguri. I didnt say it geographically, But base on how people roam up and down in the town.The GSM Market located there is the most visited market in the town. Almost everyone in the town do go there whenever they want to buy phone, laptop, bookshops, stationaries, accessories, and lots more. Theres no where in the town where you can have a good phone or laptop repair if not post office. Many people from nearby villages also do come to buy used phones, repair and buy a lot of accessories.But recently, the GSM MARKET was relocated to BUKLUNKU YAN NONO based on agreements with the state government.Being very close to MONDAY MARKET also is among what makes it very popular and populated.Many people enjoys going to Monday Market through the Post offices one-way.The Post office area is very open and very accessable to criminals and thieves. Theres congestion and go-slow all the times. Beggers, hawkers, passer-by, vehicles parked and a lot of traffics... Everywhere high.Around 2009 to 2013 post office area had experience a lot of damages and boom blasts, lives loss and injuries. Due to the insecurities, the NITEL building is used to allocate Nigerian army and other security forces. One fuel station has been sealed off also....Innocent David

A very nice place for rendezvous, many locals find it very easy to meet with friends here. The postal service is not even perceived in this place again.

This place have a lots of business and you can easily find what ever you want in the place called post office 😍

Post office is just like center of the town and its closely to the main market, where u can b able to buy or do most of computer works, repairing of shoes, watches, computer and laptop, bookshops and many more.

It is a roundabout and having business besides the road.

The above is a picture showing the post office roundabout plied by vehicles going to market, zoo,state specialist hospital, bank of the north and the roundabout is always congested due to road capacity overstretched. In this case there .y need for government of Borno state to do something about the road as to reduce traffic.
