Slow was a beautiful experience. We were there to celebrate a friends birthday. The ambience is beautiful and charming. The food was delicious, the life band was also entertaining. Our waiters were helpful, prompt and familiar withhe menu. It was packed for a Sunday. Ill suggest you book ahead. A lovely experience.
The food was very tasty, the service was superb. Once our food was delivered my daughter had the steak sandwich however she didn’t like the potato bread. Our server happened to ask if we liked our food, when we mentioned she didn’t like hers. He ask for an alternate choice, took the sandwich away and placed another order. The restaurant maintained social distance restrictions, the servers cleaned up immediately after each dish was emptied. Customer service is key for me and they outdid themselves. Will definitely be back.
Probably the best restaurant in Lagos. Love everything. From the booking system, so convenient. Really like the ambience, we enjoyed the cocktails, wines and food. The live band gives it an extra touch! The service is also on point. I keep coming back, probably the only restaurant to serve me wine at the correct temperature without having to ask. Must try the jalapeño margarita.
I loved the short ribs, they fell of the bone easy! The lamb was cooked right! Soft but not over cooked. The ambiance was really nice, even tho I didn’t go on a day that had the live band. The gin cocktails were my favorite of the night, Sadly i was too busy drinking them that I didn’t get to take any pictures
Nice ambience with the Green feel. The live jazz band was a big plus for me. The food was really tasty. My Quinoa/Kale Salad came out perfect. Food is pricy but you get the value.Friendly staff and the service was superb. Social distancing maintained. The tables were well spaced.Make reservation well in time.Road side parking coordinated by security personnel.
This place has the most beautiful dining experience right now. The ambience is amazing. Like you just can’t get enough. The menu is exotic too! I mean, a bit expensive but amazing as well. Well worth all the money. If you’re going to take anybody out on a date and impress them, this is DEFINITELY your location.I’m coming back!
Great Food,Ambience and Service. Almost doesn’t feel like one is in Lagos, Nigeria. I absolutely love the Amazon themed deco and the live band. Service was really sharp with all meals coming out in quick succession. I hope they keep up this good standards, they have definitely set the bar higher for other restaurants in lagos.
Just wanted to thank you for the amazing experience every time we visit SLoW! It is the one restaurant in Lagos that we can always depend on to deliver consistent, top quality food and service. I know, without a doubt, that when we want to impress, or treat someone, SLoW will always perform! Especially enjoy relaxed, natural setting of the outdoor seating area. Thanks to the whole team
Im not sure if the fact that I havent been out to eat (fine dining) contributes to how impressed I was.The food 🔥🔥🔥 we were totally blown at how amazing the food was. Not only did it smell and look great but with each bite, you experience the flavour of the food tantalizing your taste buds.. Its wild!Impeccable service- you need a reservation to dine here and when you do secure a slot, youll see that its worth it. The staff is very pleasant, polite, and actually seem happy to be at work (always a plus for me)Ambience- it was busy when we visited however, it was serene enough to have conversations. I was cold so would advise you wear something warm.Price- for 2 people, Id recommend you budget about 40-50k. You can have starters and your main with this budget. It was worth every penny.Overall, Slow is dope! Suitable for a night out with your family and friends, meetings, dates, etc.
You know those restaurants they’d advise you to hold vex money when you’re going on a date? omo! It’s @slowlagos because food was & is not cheap.Anyway, here’s my full review.________________________________________________Duck Confit - 18,800So this is a classic French dish usually made with the whole duck but this came with two duck legs (stated on the menu). The duck confit legs were placed on fried duck fat sliced potatoes, then came with Dijon garlic aioli & pomegranate reduction. The only thing they got right with this dish was the doneness of the duck - it was meltingly tender, falling off the bone situation, I didn’t need a knife to eat this. The taste of the duck lacked mellow flavors, not sure what liquid this was cooked in but it wasn’t richly flavored, somewhat bland. The Dijon garlic aioli would have been perfect along side the richly flavored duck because the vinegar in the Dijon against the taste of the duck would have harmonized perfectly. I would have advised regular mustard if they asked me 😂Lastly, the pomegranate reduction which was supposed to be a juice concentrate came in its original state, used as decor! 🤦🏾♀️________________________________________________Salmon Fillet on Peruvian rice - 16,800Everything on this dish was giving everything. All the textures combined was so satisfying. The pan seared miso glazed salmon fillet was actually pan seared just off the texture & doneness of the fish I was served. I would also say this was perfectly seasoned, all ingredient used in the making of this balanced out perfectly._______________________________________________I’d commend the presentation of the food, looked really appealing to the eyes. Less wait time as they had a staff already assigned to a table. The waiters were really knowledgeable about the menu, so you’d get extensive walkthrough incase you needed.P.S - you need to make a reservation to eat here, I had tried weeks before but they were always fully booked. If you try to walk in without a reservation on a weekday, you will go back home 😂I hear it’s also a great place for night life on fridays, you don’t need a reservation for this.Location to the restaurant is really easy find & accessible.
Great vibe. Great food. We loved every single dish and drink we tried. In true Nigerian fad-style, this is currently the place to see and be seen. Must visit on your trip to Lagos
I had been looking forward to this restaurant because of all the hype, I mean a restaurant you have to book weeks in advance…yea, I was going to try it. I got there and it was o my 30% full so I was definitely giving them the side eye but it filled up pretty quickly. We started out with complimentary shooters and it wasn’t bad. Then came the appetisers of shrimp tacos and a duck meal(can’t remember what it’s called). The waiter was quite attentive, asking how each item was and when I complained my drink wasn’t sweet enough, off it went and was replaced, still came back unsweet but maybe cos I felt it’ll be a syrupy, ribenaish taste and it came out more like a smoothie (I ordered the berrylicious drink). The meals were soooo yummy, from the seabream to the duck to the salmon and the ribs, so flavourful, the meats tender. The steak sandwich put a damper on things but they explained that was cos they used potato bread and I guess we ain’t used to that and whoosh, off that went to be replaced with shrimp tacos that we preferred. I don’t know if the replacements were as a result of some bad review they got or if that’s just their MO but I dig that and would definitely be returning. Check it out guys, worth the wait.
Slow lagos… Slow by temple muse gives you that LA resturant vibe. The lifeband on fridays is the only resemblance of lagos / Naija vibe…if you’ve been to RSVP, slow is the upbeat version. Both of cause cater to high end palette. The ambience is impressive- aii for that price, what was I thinking….The food is fantastic. The waiters are amazing and professional. The cheesecake is to die for. I also had the wrong Mojito and the slow cooked ribs….Ps.. you need to make reservations ample time before cos lagos seems to be feeling this place now. This place definitely needs a revisit
Excellent Customer Service, Collins did a great job making us feel comfortable, Oh my God, the menu was a bomb.. The Main Course meal was really worth the wait.Great Ambience, overall, outstanding experience.Looking forward to my next visit.
It was a good experience for us. A good value for money. The waiters knew their menu and theyre able to recommend food and drinks where youre unable to. Good ambience. Will surely be back
Very amazing environment. But I wish they have more space
Best Shrimp Tacos in Lagos! Yes theyre expensive and small, but theyre really good. I had to order more for takeout.
Pretty pricey, food was decent.Great ambience and good location.Slow Lagos is where its happening now. There are also very nice photo spots
Oh wowwwwww.....I almost forgot to take a picture of the cake to show you how awesome it was, fitfam , all sorts they gat you. Ask for Victor, he is an awesome guy, his customer service is top notch. Great place, there is also an outdoor place if you just want to chill with friends.
By far the best restaurant in Lagos. Fantastic ambiance, great food, very well trained staff. Do not come to Lagos without visiting...come for a drink by the bar after work and stay for dinner... Make sure you book!
Great ambience. Great food. One of the best places Ive graced..Like seriously the food was amazing. You must try the KALE Salad!!! My only advice is...make reservations ahead and dont forget to come with your ATM!!!
Great ambience, great service, stellar food. 10/10 experience. Pricey but worth it. I can not over recommend the short rib.
Ahhh!!!! SLoW Lagos...loved loved loved it! If you are ever searching for a proper fine dining experience, with decadent meals, good wine selection, great cocktails, impeccable customer service experience and most of all the ambience... this is the place to be.Theres something about SLoW... from the entrance wherein you are greeted into the most interesting vibe which is a fusion of a 1950s Diner and a modern contemporary take on a lounge and bar to a pretty nature themed haven. The place is tastefully designed with natural indoor plants almost as high as the ceiling. SloW gives off great aesthetic pleasures immediately you walk in.The music selection is really classy, jazzy and very relaxing. I was blown away from the moment I stepped in. I almost thought I was taken back in time but with a modern twist. There was also something about the ceiling which was made to look like a factory warehouse and created a rustic look to the overall setting.I could go on and on but lets focus on food now shall we..lol. Now I will advise you to make reservations as they dont do walk-ins. They also operate a soft opening which means they only have a dinner menu option for now and kickoff at 6pm daily. Now we had a great Waitress - Francisca (a perfect host). She practically took us through the menu and overall gastro journey. She had a good knowledge of the menu and best cocktails or wine to pair with our meal. Her recommendations were perfect. We had a delicious medley of food and flavors. I will highly recommend the Confit Duck Legs and the Lamb Chops. I couldnt fault it. These guys dont joke with quality of ingredients. The Cocktails were fashionable potent and really good. Its an upscale restaurant so Id advise you come prepared. They also have platters for groups. It was my birthday when I visited and so I was pleasantly surprised with the complimentary cake and birthday song done by the pretty waiters/waitresses. Its a mighty fine place for friends, dinner dates, of course totally instagram-worthy.I will definitely be visiting SLoW Lagos very soon! Highly recommended!
Food was lovely.Lovely ambience and service
My rating is for the ambiance. I spent more time chatting and enjoying the company there than focusing on the food. The meals are big enough to be shared by 2 people too.
Good food and great vibes
Nice Ambience and Good food.
Food was good, service was good, worth a visit
Wonderful time. Great service. Great menu. Go for the tuna ceviche and slow cooked ribs.
Great food, great ambiance, great live jazz band
Fine dining...
The short ribs were simply amazing! Good food portions too. Went for lunch, full enough but not crowded.
This is such a lovely place. There are about 5 different settings inside herefor you to choose to dine with each having its unique feel. The staff are very friendly, the food is great and the vegetables and spices used are grown in house. There is ample parking space. It is a great place to visit.
Lagos is a city full of hidden jewels. This is truly one of them. The location is discreet behind high walls, the greenery lush and the reception warm and inviting. The maître d was simply superb!!Sunday lunch was the setting and a jazz trio in the background just added to the mellow Sunday mood.Food is simply excellent with flavors mixed so gently yet they are not overpowering each other. The tempura fried vegetable starter was so delicately prepared. Cooked with a good bite inside and crispy on the outside. A clear winner. The gin cocktails paired specific gins is outstanding. The main courses were of decent portion and indeed very tasty. They loose one star for not having mugs for cafe latte or sweetener.
The ambience is pleasing. The Clientele was relatively young mainly young professionals. The food was great and I would recommend the Kale/Bacon Salad. Not cheap but the package is worth the price.
Great atmosphere! Great music. Great food and service! Top drawer place to spend the evening.
Great ambience. Food is tasty but really pricey and too small for the price. Had to ask the waiter if there was any more coming but he said no. Not for the hungry and faint hearted. Just go there to drink, if very hungry, go somewhere else to eat o. Drinks - mocktails are also very nice.
Really Really enjoyed the environment and food...This is place will hold memories for me
Loved my visit!I understand reservation is necessary and my host did the needful. It was a weekday lunch and the place wasnt too busy.We had a booth overlooking the kitchen, not a bad view at all.Food was delicious, might have been a tad expensive for me sha but it was worth it. Please try the mushroom starter. The rum cake wasnt it for me though, hoping to try something different next time.
Great food.
The best restaurant in lagos I most say the food is just awesome and the ambience is breath taking
Helpful and competent service personnel. Very rich food and bar stock. Fantastic ambient. However, the concept of a rusty ceiling seems to throw things overboard while the stained reflective glass makes pictures exciting and beautiful. Seems always out of stock on fairly priced items and a subtle push of the overtly expensive alternatives!
Exquisite, Impressive Ambience, Well trained waiters, pricey.
I had a lovely experience, good food, brilliant customer service.Such a lovely space with a beautiful backdrop of greens and an amazing live band.It had a relaxed ambience even while it was drizzling outside. Will surely recommend for date nights 👍😁
Slow has very good food excellent service and the band isnt bad too
FREEZING COLD on every single occasion i visited this restaurant. Huge put off to be honest.Amazing food and well trained staff nonetheless.
Nice and serene environment. Had a business lunch there, the ambience is nice. Service tho is slow, well its called slow right??
Great ambiance. Love the indoor plants 🙂. The food was okay..... I had the short rib and mash potatoes, would have liked more quantity for the price. Same cost as restaurants on the level. Over all, Id go back again.
If you think you have over ordered food when it starts to arrive, think again.... it will be finished because it is just amazingly tasty and addictive. Starters through main dishes and desserts and you will need help walking to your car but oh so happy. Great food
Great location, great food, great service, great atmosphere...... But not cheap. Worth every penny tho!
I liked the ambiance. But being a pure vegetarian, may be 2 or 3 items onlySo better have a look at menue before u make a reservation.
Lovely ambiance...lots of Green. Waiter was polite and attentive. Try the Seafood starter it was...😘. Will comeback for desserts.
A very wonderful, nice and cool place to dine.
The true definition of food experience.*Beautifully crafted and yummy menu.*Ambience*Aesthetic100%
Great ambience: bright, warm, welcoming and a great place to hang with family and friends.Excellent food. The Kale, Quinoa and Bacon salad.....OMG! A delicious medley of flavours! Salmon starter was very tasty and flavours well balanced. Steak was nice too. Also had the lemon grass Cocktail. Fantastic choice, if you love a refreshing and not too sweet drink. Perfect pairing with our meal.Staff are professional yet friendly. Pay a lot of attention to service.I advise you make a reservation before going, place is always packed full. Dont let this deter you though, layout makes it feel airy and not rowdy and acoustics doesnt make the place sound noisy.
Amazing food and first class ambience
Stunning. Good music, you can actually hear yourselves talk. Very nice ambience. Not bad for a firat time date.
Awesome food and awesome servicePlease beware though, its pricey!
Afraid to give this place 5 stars cos I fear it wont stay that way. The standard will fall and theyd let it go to their head. But it is a good clean modern space with a very cool vibe. And sincerely hope that they keep it up. My only gripe is their lack of flexibility. Theyve asked me on occasion if I have reservations to sit at the bar...and Im like...seriously???
Good food. Nice ambience restaurant. Dont forget to take a picture.Food delivery kinda slow though.Guess the name gives it away. 🙂
Amazing. The food here is sooo good 👍. Unbelievable. 🤤🤤🤤
Ambience, service great.Meal wasnt IT.
Slow. Good reviews so I thought Id give it a try. Some dishes are great - try the sea bass ceviche. Steak was truly medium rare as requested so that was appreciated. The drinks were good too. But the duck confit was unbelievably bland. There were 1001 mosquitoes, which I understand because of the number of indoor plants but they seemed clueless as to what to do about them. Would I go there again - sure and you should too. Good ambience, good music.
Had a great time here
Incredible ambience. The food was great for what I had. Dessert needs work though. Cocktails. 10/10
Beautiful place. Ambience is top notch, food is just fine, bit salty for me. I loved the place. Worth visiting again
Great spot, lovely ambiance, great for intimate dining, family and friends. Lovely music, great food options and amazing drinks. Just remember to go there with a scarf or jacket because the AC there can kill somebody 🤣
Another amazing restaurant by the duo that launched RSVP in 2014. Just when you thought that there was no room on the high end of the market for restaurants in Lagos, Nahi and Maya prove logic and the market wrong by opening a restaurant, during Covid and some of the worst economic times that Nigeria has seen that is MORE expensive than RSVP. Who would have thunk it? The restaurant has been an instant success. I have never been when it was not full. There is a reason for this. Its beautiful without trying to be fancy, the service is comfortably world-class without feeling strained and the food tastes like it was made by a genius that could produce simple but amazing dishes in his or her sleep without trying. I think the most refreshing thing about the entire place is that it just works so well. In many restaurants in Lagos, you dont expect perfection and most of the time you are just waiting for something to break, be it service, food or drinks. Its rare to have a perfect experience. At Slow everything is comfortably perfect to a point where even if something went wrong you know that it would be calmly and quickly corrected and the norm of perfection would return. I dont know how or for how long they trained the staff, but every resturant owner, manager, and waiter in Lagos should go to Slow a few times and see what perfect resturant serivce delivery feels like as a customer. Ok, I have not mentioned the cocktails yet. RSVP helped change cocktails in the Lagos market by being one of the first places that made cocktails with fresh, local ingredients and a lot of passion and love. While the cocktails at RSVP are deliciously on the sweet side the cocktails at Slow seem more mature. Less sweet, with more subtle tastes for a more sophisticated pallet. We loved all of them. I had the Pedro Zobo cocktail made with local Agogora Pedros and zobo. Simply amazing and 100% locally sourced. Just how a cocktail in Lagos should be. We had the ceviche trio as a starter and it was just absoultely perfect and refreshing. The fact that you can see the kitchen and it looks clean with everyone wearing hair nets gives you comfort to eat raw food in Nigeria. The slow cooked beef short ribs fell off the bone and the glaze was incrdible. I think they must have sous-vided the octopus, because it was shockingly tender. The sauce on it was amazing. But the thing that my wife and I are still having food joy over is the chocolate tart. We both remarked I have never made anything this good and we both love to cook. Its probably one of the best desserts I have ever had. Creamy, chocolatly but not too sweet. Go have a cocktail, sit at the bar, and try this as soon as you can. Overall best dining experience and best food we have had in Lagos. We will be back.
Wonderful place, a place You cant afford to miss.Serene environment, good chefs and super amazing food
Really nice upscale atmosphere and super attentive staff. A refreshing example how good F&B is done.Prices are on the higher side for Lagosian standards.
Lovely place. Well trained staff( this is very important). Quality crowd! Nice food. Gin based cocktails.. Ambious great!
Over hyped!!!! Had the spicy lamb and tacos as starters- it was passable. Mains- ribeye and lamb chops- tasteless, cold, undercooked...spinach and kale in creamy sauce- tasteless, baked potato jacket- should be changed caramelised onions jacket. Dessert- lemon cheesecake- was alright.Would I recommend to a friend- NO
Amazing ambiance, amazing food, amazing customer service, amazing jazz band, want me to keep going? Just go!
Great ambience, good food, menu is a bit limited though. But Ill go again.... and again...
It was excellent! The chicken is sublime🤩! Music very nice, atmosphere great, overall experience perfect! Thank you for creating this for us in Lagos🇳🇬! Well done!
Probably the best food and dining experience in Lagos!
Great ambience. Great food. Pricey though
Nice ambience. Good tasted really nice
SLoW Food and Service Awesome!Nice ambience and arrangement.
It has a nice ambience, its really spacious,it a place you can have a party.slow is a great place to be and their staff are fantastic and well train.all the meals are really great, you can try the lobster tails, spicy lamb flatbread, short ribs and many more.my favourite cocktail is the peach please made with ciroc vodka based.
Food and ambiance very good.
Decor, cuisinea and music come together to give a stylish contemporary african ambience. The wine list with limited chouces per glass and a hugely expensive or relatively cheap non descript wines is the only thing that lets this place down.
Tasty meals, really dont like the cocktails, expensive, romantic ambience.
Good food, great customer service. Goodness is a great asset as staff
