Perfect ambience especially for these Covid19 times. The platters- American and Nigerian Breakfast were made with love. Each platter is enough to feed two. So my friend and I had enough to eat and also doggybag 😊😊 10/10 will def recommend.

A restaurant for people who want a level of extra in their dining experience. This place has a mix of fine dining with an exclusive private lounge upstairs and a balling life band. The manager is a fantastic host and the waiters are quite helpful.Parking is ok but the adjourning buildings allow people to park for a fee. Recommended for coded movers😀

I think Black Olive has a great space and the chairs are pretty comfortable (something I never say about half of the restaurants I visit in Lagos). I enjoyed the service and I thought it was good. The food, however was just basic for me. There was nothing particularly note worthy about all I had.I had high hopes for the goat curry but well, it was just there for me. The pasta tasted okay though. Anyway, generally, I like that I felt very full. It’s also very hard to come across restaurants that give you that filling factor.I’d definitely come back. Try something new on the menu and see.

This is easily a 10/10 for a place in Lagos. Ill start with the positives of course. I have always seen the place on Awolowo road, Ikoyi and assumed it was one of the exclusive places. Was on Awolowo road on a week day and decided to give it a try. The security guy was pleasant (a rarity in Lagos). The lady at the door was friendly. She was our waiter and she was professional. Drinks and food were timely. Food was great for the price. My only issue was the weather as they only turned on the AC when we came. It was working well but it took a while. (I have noticed most places in Lagos do this because of electricity tariffs). So Ill give them a 9/10.

Their waffles were really good. They werent dry like some other places.

I had an amazing time here, quiet and great for meetings. Wonderful customer service and a nice parking space.The food was delicious, I had goat curry with rice and plantain. Maybe a little music would have made the place more lively.

I was treated to a FABULOUS dining experience at Black Olive. We enjoyed great service, drinks, and fine cuisine that was well presented, colorful, and flavorful. I dont know the costs since I didnt have to pay but I did notice the price of the average entree was between 3500 to 9500. The ambiance was lush and the food was delicious and and worth every naira.

Just a drink and starter but the service was not bad at all. The lady served smiling. The starter was tasty . House wine was a bit ordinary. But sweet wine which is safe I guess. Great view of the road from sitting arrangements .

The restaurant is located on Awolowo road in Ikoyi so expect minimal traffic while trying to locate it on weekdays.The ambience is great, there are seating areas downstairs and on the first floor, there’s a private dining area that is perfect for events.There is a bar with an okay selection of drinks and cocktails on the ground floor.The menu is constantly being updated but my favorites so far are the creamy penne and fish with potatoes/veggies.A main + cocktail would cost you around 10,000 Naira upwards.

Still looking for the best burger, this wasnt it.

It was a beautiful experience. What hit me as we walked in was how nicely the entire space was scented. The staff were professional and nice. Our waiter Olalekan was so on point with his service and attention to carrying out his duties.The food was great. I had the creamy penne with chicken and I enjoyed every single forkful that went into my mouth. 1 friend had the spaghetti and meatballs and she has been going on about how tasty it was. Another friend had the veggie fried rice with a creamy chicken sauce that hit all the right notes (except for the portion 😊). There was also the chicken burger and then the herbed chicken with jollof rice. We were disappointed with the herbed chicken though because we couldnt taste any herbs on it.In all, its a great spot especially with friends so you can sample as many dishes as you can. A budget of 10k per head is doable for a drink and a meal.

This does great food and plays old school R&B.You should only go here if youre prepared to wait for your meals, the wait is ridiculously long. And you should be prepared to pay cash or have a Nigerian card, their card machine does not take international credit cards. Its a very common issue in restaurants, the better ones have international card machines.The waiter was very helpful in walking me to several cash machines, but it looks like they have the same issue. Luckily, we were out with a couple of locals who could pay the bill.

Their food is good but customer service was very poor I came in as someone’s guest and when I asked for something off the menu they treated me as a peasant, I had to ask severally and they ended it with you would have to pay separately. And I said I knew already horrible experience with customer service but good food

Nice, quiet space. The food is quite decent, even though it can take a while for it to get to you (the staff take that into consideration and bring you potato chips to munch while you wait).

I and my friends booked the VIP room and it was very comfy and private, mad jams playing, nice but not too aesthetic background. However you can be sure that it wont be on everybodys ig feed, know other words it isnt common. The food is nice but not fantastic the pasta and meatballs I ordered was below my expectations if I must say, however the grilled wings were so delicious 😊pricey though. The other things we ordered sandwich, fries were also nice. The waiter service was also good although Id advice you to order your food before you get hungry,if not 😂 In general, I enjoyed myself at black olive and would recommend you try it out.

Honestly I have zero negative review about Black olive.Everything was amazing from the ambiance to the customer service to the food presentation to the taste ❤️My favorite thing from @blackolivelagos was definitely the appetizer.Yam fries were literally a taste of Heaven earth, like the yam actually melted on my tongue.I actually need to ask the chef for his receipe (must have been grilled with butter).It was definitely my favorite thing from the platter.Potato fries in summary was crispy and juicy, I don’t know how they did it but it was crispy on the outside and soft/juicy on the inside.The plantain? Oh God! imma actually hold the chef down and ask him or her to show me how they made abi “fried” abi “grilled” the plantain.Omo plantain never tasted this good.Sweet and spicy chicken wings didn’t disappoint, it was just right.Main meal I had the black olive special jollof rice and honestly it wasn’t really special, it is the usual jollof rice only that there was shrimps and prawns inside.Also there was something in the plate that tasted like plantain coated with flour, I really liked it sha.For desert I had waffles and vanilla Icecream, it was nice but there was no toppings😢.I’d have complained about the platter’s size but it’s appetizer so I understand it’s not meant to be filling.Their customer service is amazing, I liked that they sterilized each cutlery before bring it.I’d definitely love to go again💃🏽

Im giving 3 stars due to the service I received today. The food was great. I ordered the yam, plantain and sweet potato platter and the creamy chicken. However it took 45 minutes for the appetizer platter and over an hour for the main dish. I was the only diner in the restaurant, so there really is no excuse. The fact that I am getting over a stomach virus and hadnt eaten in 24hrs did not help the situation.

A classy & secluded restaurant. A good place for quite dinners, meetings and even breakfast. Delicious meals at affordable prices; & by affordable I mean a tad cheaper than Cactus, if not almost the same. Very polite staff. Wait time for meals aint long.

Fantastic restaurant. The meals are relatively affordable, great ambiance and very comfy environment. This branch particularly interests me with the calm and quiet interior, although on the exterior, parking is quite minimal.

First off, the seating. If you are the type that likes the cushion enclosure kinda seating with home feel, this is it. Doesnt really bring me into close proximity or intimacy with my food but its OK. The ambience puts you in the mood for food even though the ground floor feels a bit tight, its more spacious upstairs.Now, the food for me seems a bit adventurous. Id love it more but its OK. Figure the fragrant soup which seems a rich Jus with some local greens. Now Im a fan of pasta so thats what I went for. Happy that their spaghetti came with a good amount of cheese. Yummy. I love the service, quite professional youd feel like a star. Then they have celeb cooks coming in from time to time.Would love if they have parking thats better spaced. Wheelchair Accessibility is quite low. Could be better with sitting and parking

The staff were very helpful, great food although it takes about 30mins to get your food. The cocktails were really nice, my friends cocktail tasted off but they were good enough to replace it. Theres an inhouse bar, a dining area and a VIP section upstairs. Great place to have a private dinner or with a group of friends. No reservations needed and parking is available.

Slowest restaurant ever. Went with a group of 18 after making a reservation and having a set menu. They took forever to get our orders right. Even the starters we had agreed on took forever to come. The dessert was two scoop of FanIce although she told us it would be some fancy ice cream you can’t buy in the supermarket. Their juice is chivita that they add ice cubes too and sell for five times the price.The most upsetting part is that we had made a reservation and a down payment and we still waited almost two hours for our mains and some had already finished before others started. Smaller groups downstairs that came for dinner too had complaints so I don’t think this only applies to big groups. Their food is quite decent but by the time you wait two hours is it really worth it ?I even called the Chef that attended to us the day we made the reservation there was still no changes all still slow and taking forever.

I find it very hard to say one good thing about this restaurant as it fails quite spectalularly at the easiest of things.Yam, plantain, potato and tomato for 4k? The pasta served in the penne and spaghetti dishes we received were horrible and soft as mush ( a worrying trend). The jollof with seafood was very underwhelming. The ice cream served tasted very watered down and almost reminscent of fan. All in all not a good experience.
