The Cenotaph is a world war commemoration site for Nigerian soldiers who died in the 1937 and 1964 world wars. It is located on the Defence Road opposite the Defence House and Kings College on the right. There are monuments within the Cenotaph in memory of the departed soldiers. The flowers, and pavements are properly managed. One outstanding feature is the unknown soldier with a gun standing on a platform facing the entrance.A very large parking space exists in front of the Cenotaph; events like marriage, get together and parties are held here.Theres wheelchair parking but no ♿ accessibility to the main Cenotaph.

Good to see that this place is well-managed and maintained by Lagos State Parks and Garden Agency. It has an ample parking space for cars right by the side and same place is sometimes used for events under tents.

The remembrance park is a beautifully well kept cenotaph site for fallen armed forces of Nigeria heroes. Armed forces celebration are performed yearly at this site which is directly opposite the old defence building. Lots of greens and fresh air within the large expanse of land surrounded by the busy Lagos Central business district.
