Cool place to relax and keep the stress and troubles away. The lockdown has effectively subtracted a lot of Noice and rather added and multiplied the serenity and calm in the area.Best time to visit: 🌄 and 🌇 (Sunrise and Sunset), although theres enough shade to cover and cool you on a sunny afternoon.

A cool place to relax especially in this sizzling hot weather. Whether youre being frustrated about life or the university is taking its toll on you, this place is very accessible and free to all. And youve got all these trees with huge branches protecting you from the sun, although if you dont like falling leaves surprising you, you may rethink seating here. Also, a new history walkway has been erected here in addition to the magnificent statue of Professor Sofoluwe, it basically tells anyone who cares to stop a moment and read, important information about the University of Lagos and Professor Sofoluwe to whom this garden is dedicated.I like this place because its not usually crowded and theres enough people passing such that you can feed your eyes too. The only problem might be at night, there are so many bugs! But if you can lay hold on a bug repellent cream, youre good to go!

Serenity is the word. Many students draw inspiration from this garden. The shade, concrete benches, imposing aura of the Senate building and adjoining facilities gives that academic ambience.A perfect spot for photographers, meet-ups, reading, drawing and other forms of creativity. It provides a source of calm and reflection. It is also accessible to different parts of the University.

Wonderful outdoor space, with a goof blend of hand and soft landscape one of the cool spots in the University to meet new people. It is also popularly known among the students as Love Garden. Most students come here for their romantic adventure. Some others use it for out door tutorials, religious prayer meetings and the likes.

One of my favorite spots back in schools days. Still same romantic place to date, exactly why its a.k.a Love Garden. Bordered by the Faculty of Art, Art Theater, JP Clark Center and Senate building, its groovy with trees and slab seats. My favorite time to be there is late at night. You know- we know our minds when the silence come.

The garden is one of the most beautiful parts of the school and is a popular spot for students waiting for the next lesson within area. Its shady, well kept, and usually neat. A good accentuation to the Senate House overlooking it.Featuring many stone benches in squares that box trees into a tidy grid, it gives the school a sophistication that it really doesnt have.

Theres free WiFi for students, its airy and you can sit idly and take in the scenery or whatever, its practically a hangout place. Perfect for eating and having casual group meetings. Theres some amount of noise thats not allowed. But watch out for monkeys on the tree branches above. They usually wont touch you and the branches are at a safe height, but be careful. Also, you dont want to sit too close to the trees, or you might get visited by ants.

The popular name for this place within the school is Love Garden. This is a relaxation area with a good number of concrete seats located right next to the Senate building and close to the Faculty of Arts theater and the Sofoluwe Park, there can be a good number of students there at any given time. It is a good place for students to cool off and hangout or have a personal read time as it is in the open and a cool breeze usually brush through. It is actually one of the popular places in the whole school.

This is found just behind the Senate building in the University of Lagos. It is also referred to as Love Garden because it is very beautiful and student lovers are fond of hanging out here after lectures. It is very peaceful and features a Garden. Square shaped stone seats with a Tree growing from the center of each stone seat. On its right side is Faculty of Art. on its left side is Senate building, in front of it is Sofoluwe Park and behind it is Accounting department.

Review №59

Its a chill place for the students of the school. It could be better though if upgraded. But currently serves students who just want to sit and talk.Warning: Its usually crowded and noisy during the day because students always gather there. So, if youre looking for a quiet place to relax during the day while in the school, this is not the place for you. The schools lagoon front is a better choice for that.Update: Im not sure why most reviews here are saying its a quiet place. Senate Garden and Professor Sofoluwe Park are DIFFERENT places.Senate Garden can be quiet in the evenings when the students are out of classes. But during the day? Its definitely not quiet.

This is a conspicuous place in the University of Lagos.People take shade under the trees here. Its a popular spot and it assesses various areas of the institution like the Faculty of Law,Arts, the school library and the Advanced Legal Studies. The Senate love garden is just below the Senate building of the school and very close to the Faculty of Arts; it is directly behind the Arts Theatre. As the name implies, more often than not you would find lovers cuddled together at the love garden although it is usually populated by Arts and Law students during the day time. After the noise of the day, the love garden has a romantic tinge to it in the evenings and you can enjoy the whispered words of sweet nothings from your boyfriend or girlfriend. A word of advice, it’d be a good idea to carry along insect repellents, the mosquitoes there can make your evening quite unpleasant.

As a student in UNILAG, we used to call this place, Love Garden. It was not uncommon to see two people of the opposite sex seated under the ambient trees, discussing and enjoying the serene environment. Thats in the evenings though.During the day, especially when school is in session, the place is always filled with students having one meeting or the other. Some students who go there to read or have some quiet time during that period may not find it enjoyable. All said, it was one of my favourite spots on campus.
