This medical facility is owned by government. Its quite big and well planned but maintenance is very poor. Their services are okay compared to other government offices offering services alike. The environment is very green, conducive and serene. Its also not far from sabo bus stop. They have a hall for a medium sized event of about 150-300 guests

Nigerian Institute of Medical Research is located on Edmund Crescent. The institute has various departments including biochemistry, nutrition, public health....These sectors are dedicated to field work and scientific workshops. There are clinics for HIV out-patients who usually have the option of conducting test in the premises. NIMR has well eqipped labs, and good electricity. The compound has ample parking space but does not allow public vehicles. It is generally well structured with a large multipurpose hall and guest house.

Serene environs for such institute

A dedicated medical research organization, rendering healthcare services with a focus on obtaining data for research.It is not an hospital. So, spectrum of services are only in the areas of their research interest.Its a good place to visit for diagnostic test that are not available in many hospital.

They are not organised. the scientist i met were all about money. i paid over 150 thousand Naira for k13 propeller gene amplification and i got nothing. the labs are Un-kept with peoples samples lying around. and it took them over 2 months of persistent calling as i was not residing in Lagos. lastly the sent me a doctored result and made me feel like a fool during my final Ph. D. PRESENTATION. results reading 20% agarose gel instead of 1.2, electroencephalogram instead of bands. My supervisors said the results were copied, i called several times for an explanation but the DR could not even give me a tangible explanation.
