Sandhrouse market is a market hub where you get varieties of goods, ranging from the household appliances, clothing, shoes, fumigation equipmentt, provisions and foodstuffs, its situated in a cool environment.This is based on my opinion though, some might not like the environment probably because of the water logged area in it.

Sandgrouse market is one of the major markets on Lagos Island alongside Balogun market. It is reknown for provisions and vegetables. The Lagos state govt has demolished the old market & moved the occupants out of their shops and stalls so, for now, they are hanging around the premises in makeshift shops. It is rumoured that the state govt intends to build an ultra modern shopping complex at the site of the old market which was demolished.

Its a Roadside foodstuff market but half of it has been consumed by the dirty drainage

Sandgrouse is one of the major markets in Lagos Island. It is a great place to shop for fresh food commodities and other items. Although prices here are a bit higher when compared with prices at Ita-Faji market, you can still get a good bargain. It is easily accessible because of its location along Simpson Road which leads to the famous Third Mainland Bridge. However, parking is a problem, as there is no parking space. It is not as messy as the other markets in Lagos Island when it rains.

My experience at the market was quite acceptable. Hopefully when the main market is built, shopping there would be more enjoyable.

At sura market, you can get all your soup ingredients, beef, fish and chicken. There are shops along the road that sell bags of rice and other staples. Its a one stop area for all your food stuff
