Except for Bad infrastructure arising from bad maintenance attitude of government, dear Mr Fashion designer in Lagos you need to get to Adaranijo: the city of fashion designers. For example, when you get there ask of Wear Worthy Bespoke, youd come out joyful.
This is a very open market located in the mainland area of Lagos State. Within this market, a lot of items are available for purchase. Items such as food stuffs including rich, beans, plantain and other foods can be found here. Also, you would be able to easily locate a few areas where sports betting outlets are located. Other household items are available here for purchase. Lots of petty traders also tend to display their wares by the road side.
Its ok

Adaranijo market is a basic local market and has all basic home requirement in food and provisions. The market also has an abattoir, you get freshly slaughtered animals. The prices are quite reasonable and is ideal for large purchases, no need to travel to major markets like Balogun, idumota etc.The market is easy to move around, there are shops built ready to be rented. The market also has a hall for events or meeting.Definitely a return trip as often as I can as I hate big and rowdy markets.
