Gowon Estate is a town within the towns of Egbeda and the old Alimosho town down to some outskirts of Okunola, Ipaja, Gate and bordered by some other beautiful estates like Gemade, Shagari and Jakande Estates in the environs.The estate is within the affording capacities of a common man and also offers lots of basic facilities to make life easy for both old and young. The security situation is relatively calm. It has a main operating police command at the Moshalashi area with other overseeing area commands. The presence of a Naval Unit within the estate also help the cool security situation, as the Navy maintains a boisterous security outfits with constant patrols in conjunction with the police which helps to keep the security situation under control.There are many schools at affordable rates; there is a school for everyone.

All roads lead to Gowon Estate are very bad. Alimosho local government should see to that area.

Old estate, different roads. Different environments within the estate. Some are block houses, crowded and not so clean. Others are duplex or bungalows, clean. A busy area, schools, churches, malls, lots of event centres and bars. Just a taste of Lagos.

Although there are bad road networks in some places and not so spacious but good environment and good people around. Youd definitely love it here especially at night when the night is lit. Many fun places to try out and many fast foods too.

Has pretty good security and infrastructure, power cuts quite frequent here so dont expect too much public electricity. Highly educated and upscale individuals live here. Quiet most of the time.

It is one of the biggest estate in Lagos Nigeria, its a nice and enjoyable place with different Force block such as , Navy, army , air Force block, the only obnoxious category I see in this estate is the unpleasant smells from some rare place which under treatment at the moment.

Residential estate with enough entertainment and relaxation centers in the most populated local government in Nigeria

A residential estate initially built to house the Nigerian legislatures in the 80. It was sold to the public medium scale earners who either occupied it or rent it out to others. It is suffering from serious neglect as most of the roads are no longer motorable and the buildings have deteriorated greatly. Part of the estate was also allocated to the Nigerian military forces including the Nigerian Navy and the police and are still occupied by them till date.
