On ground and above the ground (foot bridge), there are well defined routes for vehicular and human navigation. Here, youve got one of the longest foot bridges in Lagos. There are different motor parks for different location, broad lay-bys, mega parks for big buses, public toilets, several chunks of markets and lots of controls. On the Express Way, state transporters have where to stop, inter-state transporters have where to stop and somewhere in between private know what to do. If you know this place five years ago and then you see it now, you will have no other word for it but, Total Transformation.

Definitely a historical landmark, especially if you knew how this area was before it was rebuilt. The foot bridges for me are the bigger part of the historicity of this place! The new connecting bridges just makes so much sense now. And of course has made the whole area much safer for pedestrian use. It is a good and smart move on the side of the government, kudos!

With a complex but easy to use flyover, this roundabout boasts of everything one would need on entering Lagos. Everything but a public toilet. However buses are arranged in an organized fashion and they lead to almost everywhere around the city center and outside of it. You had to go down really steep steps or climb up the steps just to go towards ojodu Berger. Today, theres a pedestrian bridge, a stop for private cars, a bus stop for commercial buses and the passengers do not have to climb down steep steps anymore. Theres also a beautiful public toilet. The Lagos State government must be commended on this one.Previously, it used to be a nightmare for pedestrians to cross the highway safely with their wards, babies as well as goods. Buses also caused a nuisance in this area as they would always stay on the highway to pick passengers. But now, things are even better. Theres a well-planned bridge to convey pedestrians to different sections of Berger area, and a park was created for buses to pick up passengers.

This new roundabout as well as the pedestrian bridge constructed is such a glorious face lift to the major gateway between Lagos state and other States. However, for some reasons ranging from lack of project supervision or monitoring and evaluation to citizens destructive nature, some of the beautiful things are falling out of place. Traders and beggars have turned the bridge to trading stores. The Policemen attached to the environment may need a replacement or a constant shift to avoid compromise.
