University of Lagos is the university of first choice. Located in the mainland, the university houses faculties and departments in the areas of science, art and humanities, management sciences and social science. The university environment is quite nice and very busy with a good road network around the campus.
An ancient university with an excellent quality of high academic standard. Its a campus with elegant environment. Its structures are well put on place, organized and a great centre of learning.
Old structure, should have been worked on to give it the antique look.Rooms were not in order, lower priced rooms were more spacious than the higher priced ones.Heater didnt work, was war to open and close the doors.I think if its looked into, a lot of revenue can come from that place.I did enjoy the view though!!!
The facility is set in a location that allows for optimum reflection. The Serene atmosphere means that you can think clearly. You get a change of bedding every day and a fresh supply of toiletries. Youre assured of constant power supply. The studio rooms could do with a fresh coat of paint. Considering that the facility is close to the Lagos lagoon, you may prepare for an encounter with mosquitoes, so its a good idea to bring along some insecticide.
Well established University of Lagos. Has been operational for many decades. Lots of Nigeria high and mighty have gone through it. But lots of facilities and amenities need serious maintenance and upgrade for it to recapture the lost glory.May UnLag be a citadel of knowledge, innovation and excellence as was.
Here for events. Ive known this place since childhood. Used to go here to swim and it was well kept. But I recently went there for an event and was surprised at how dilapidated it has become. The swimming pool is a shadow of itself. Not functioning. Why? Its a shame. It is beautifully located at the Lagoon front overlooking the third mainland bridge. The university senate house is nearby.A good routine of maintenance activities should bring this place back to its former glory and better
Good option if you are around or in Unilag and need a place to stay. My room didnt get a towel, some of the furniture needs upgrading and repairs need to be carried out on sockets and the likes. Nice location and view with good enough parking. Complimentary breakfast was good. Small hall for indoor events and space for outdoor events.
Located after the Senate building. Comes in handy when one needs a place to rest the head for a night or two.Easily accessible, good road network and the youthful feel of a schooling environment all combine to make it a great place
The aesthetics could be better, although rooms are relatively inexpensive with available rooms well maintained. The location is very strategic with an open view to the lagoon. It is quiet and calm here with ample event halls for weddings and parties. Room service could be better. Food is only available for the top luxury accommodation plans.
Neat
Nice view but needs a little repair
Modest hotel with basic facilities. Although the water heater facility didnt work. Besides that, everything else looks good.
Great view nd best place to relax your head
Nice place, cant wait to be here again...friendly people
It is a good place for relaxation and the view for wedding pictures.
The guest house is pretty organized. They have functioning systems. Your allowed to hang around as long as you wish when you paid. But If you didnt, theyd bd on your neck. They have the functions room - for conferences and other places for conferences too. They have the coffee shop. The beehive for students who want a coffee and donuts. Beautiful scenery, especially during the day, towards the evening
A very quaint place. You will enjoy the lagoon view
Reception was a pleasant one. Price is moderate enough with friendly atmosphere
Awesome service. Amazing food. Very comfortable and serene
Good place to relax and meet sound minds
Tayo Adenirokun Lecture Theatre is a lecture theatre situated directly opposite UNILAG Guest House, It is one of the latest structures within the school as of now. It was commissioned not too long ago by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Toyin Ogundipe in the presence of the Vice President of Nigeria Professor Yemi Osinbajo. It is an amazing edifice in the school with 21st century materials and instrument inside. It is a lecture theatre and also a multi-purpose hall for conferences, seminars, etc; with the capacity of holding about a thousand people, including a gallery for for the people inside with a clear view of the podium. It is a very good place for everybody to be.
Old structure, fair customer service, has a cool lake view , good for anybody living from unilag writing exams
Need to realise that this is an in-country guest house. I.e. it is not up to global north standards. But it is OK for what it is. In my room only one bulb worked and there was no hot water (bathed from a bucket filled from a kettle). But the mosquito nets were in place and in good shape.
Good location. Good structure. Poor management. Too many room for improvement.
Its okay, a nice place to relax and chill
Nice place
Good ambiance, well managed with pleasant staff.
Just amazing and exceptional , close to the water front and you can see 3rd mainland bridge from afar
When u need to be close to UNILAG, thats the best place to consider.
Nice atmosphere. You can also buy coffee from the coffee shop
A good place to get your coffee when you are in Unilag 😉
For the Lagoon view and serenity its good. But old structures needs maintenance
This building is very old and poorly maintained. The strong smell of stale water emanates from most of the walls. Its mostly frequented by faculty members and individuals who do not care much for property hygeine
Fair place. Water view. Just fair customer service. Nice meal
Clean and Cozy environment, with a beautiful view of the lagoon front.
Official unilag guest house and house to the popular coffee shop.
It is a cool and well reserve place
Rating five stars cos it worth it, just give it a trial a home a way home!
Great service.. Must try the coffee shop
Poor service. Nothing is working. No pos . Sockets arent working. Expensive with poor standard. Outdated.
Not well kept and terrible aesthetics. Ambience not intriguing.
Nice! A refreshing alternative to comfort
Horrible customer care...Light went off for three hours and no remorse..No back up for power
University guest house with shabby maintenance.
A fairly nice location with apartments with some discount
Theres a reason its nicked the nations pride ..just visit and stay for a night *winks*
Does not even deserve One STAR. Building, Room, Restroom need Rehabilitation. Bedding also.
Great place and quality service
Terrible service, poor customer service. Halls always dirty with no functional generator in case of power failure
Good place with nice ambience
Its a nice place but it now looks old and unmaintained
Old design few modern interiors
The staff members are friendly and the food is nice
Nice place, nice view, the ambience is ever inviting.
Was cool, calm and collected. Warm reception by the staff.
Just a basic guest house
Good place to relax and have a fun
Nice environment
Good Accommodation and Quiet and Serene environment
Really, really bad. Not value for money. Please dont go there
Nice experience, quite and peaceful away from Lagos hustle
Always booked, if you want to stay here, book long time ahead.
A very quite environment to relax. With water and third mainland bridge view.
Most facilities need renovation, the walls need painting, and the toilet sure has a lot of work to be done in it
Networking there is bad and low power
University commercial guest house. Not well maintained.
Total overhauling requested. Unilag is bigger than what that place is and for the price per night!
Serene matured and workers courteous
Great place
I love watching the lagoon from ma room
Quite nice for relaxation.
Needs to be renovated and professionally run
Had a good experience during my stay!
You need a cool place this is it

Old structures. Require renovation
Best place to stay when at Akoka
Poor maintenance... Restaurant okay. Building rough
Good. Budget.
Poor room service and too much mosquito. Just that there is 24/7 electric power.
Right behind the senate building ..
It wasnt great at all
It could be better
Cool but vintage
The place is very accomodative
Its lively
Well conducive
Serene environment
Price doesnt match hospitality
Lovely environment to be
Too expensive for a sub-standard hotel
Nice view of Lagos Lagoon
No longer bubbles as of old
Rooms are Outdated, need renovating.
Good place
