I bought a Scanfrost fridge from Far East Mercantile Ltd in March this year. From a week after I bought the fridge I have continued to have problems with the fridge. Its either the timer has stopped working and it will have to be changed. I have Engineers come from their office on up to 6 different time to sort one problem or the other.In May this year when I travelled out of the country for a month my son who was at home during this period could not use the fridge for over 3 weeks. when we returned it took them over 10 days to send an engineer who subsequently came again to change the timer. I subsequently went again to report at the service centre and it took another 4 days for them to respond. What is clear is you have sold me a bad fridge from the outset and are unwilling to replace it. The customer service, the Service Manager and the Sales Manager are the worst personal experience I have had to deal with. They are either incompetent are not empowered to take decisions.When I formally wrote to them almost 10 days ago threatening to take the Consumer Protection Agency and SON I got a mail from their customer service pleading to respond in 24 hours. To date I have not heard from them. FMCL is just company run by Indians to exploit Nigerians. They will not try this in their country.I have decided to submit this petition to the relevant regulatory institutions and also seek legal advice.
