Don’t pay that deposit!!it’s just 7k but i think it’s there way of ensuring they treat you anyhow and you feel obliged to use their service.I’m lucky I didn’t go any further, I just strongly dislike companies that give you the aura of premium, charge you for it then treat you exactly the same as my good old regular nanny services.

Rating one star cos there’s no lower score. Horrible experience using the Nanny academy. They almost had me believing motherhood was some sort of curse because my baby slept during the day and was awake at night. It was my first motherhood experience and they almost marred it without apologies. My last experience with them was with a bipolar nanny. Avoid them for your sanity.

My experience at The Nanny Academy was really life transforming. When I made the decision six months ago to take a course in Childcare at The Nanny Academy, I never imagined that Ill be this amazed.Indeed my time at The Nanny Academy was really amazing, from the moment I commenced my lectures online, the shock that came with all the new knowledge on childcare, things I never knew about even as an educator with over ten years experience.I was marvelled , I opened up my mind to learn and unlearn. For me The Nanny Academy is an Institution that gives you much more! The value I got in return cannot be quantified, beyond childcare I had the opportunity to gain other life skills like ; First Aid, Culinary Skills , oh yes ! Food and Nutrition was also part of it, the Home Management skills I acquired, Emergency Preparedness and safety skills , even Etiquette and Social skills too. The list is endless. Every early childhood educator should take a course at The Nanny Academy.Thank you TNA for the priceless value added to my life and career as a childcare professional.

The Nanny Academy is quite a privileged institution to attend. Didnt know about it until I was introduced, and now I have gone through its six month certification training I cant say anything else but how wonderful an institution it is. Very friendly atmosphere to learn in, yet quite thorough and thoughtful. Again I say I am amongst the privileged ones to have attended the academy and I encourage the management and staff to keep up the good work.

I had the pleasure of doing a course in care-giving using The Nanny Academy. The founder, Mrs Amara, is very thorough and imparted the right knowledge on us. She’s also a very kind and humble lady. I enjoyed my 6 months learning period with them and also made new friends during that time. I would recommend them to anyone interested in using their service!

I hired Christiana Ladidi Yakubu as a nanny via Nanny Academy having paid N48k for their services. Fast forward to 6 months later when Christiana requested 1 week off; I contacted Nanny Academy for a temp/relief nanny (10 days) for which I paid them N12k. The week Christiana was leaving I returned home to see a huge injury on my sons head. I didnt believe my son hit his head while crawling so I pressed her for the truth however I got the same story. Christiana pleaded and cried...I had no reason to think it was deliberate so I let it go. The relief nanny arrived on Sat 30th Nov and after a 24 hr handover; Christiana left. On Sun 1st Dec the relief nanny asked to speak with me and hinted that she saw Christiana force my son to eat and smacked him if he didnt do so. I stayed calm and thanked her. The next morning I called my young maid and asked her if she had seen Christiana mistreat my son and she said yes. She said Christiana would force him to eat and if he refused she will give him slaps on his back and push the centre of his head. I was devastated and as much as I tried to keep the information within the family until Christiana returned, I told Nanny Academy primarily because we wanted to start looking for a new nanny before the relief nanny left (The relief nanny Lillian Oche was TERRIBLE but for the fact that she revealed the maltreatment of my son to me I would have made her leave the following day). I called Helen of Nanny Academy on Tues 3rd Dec in tears. I narrated everything to her and asked her not to inform Christiana of what we had been told. I then asked if we could start the process for a replacement nanny. When I heard nothing from Nanny Academy I went to their website and called Amara about the issue. On Wednesday as I ate breakfast; the relief nanny and my maid came to beg me to please not go after Christiana. I asked what they meant and they said Christiana had angrily called to ask what they had been saying about her to me, that Nanny Academy had called Christianas guarantor to tell him what had happened and he called to inform her. At this point I knew Christiana was not going to return so I went to file a report with the Human Rights Division at the police station. The police suggested that since I used an agency it would be best for their investigation to start with an interview of the owner of the agency (Amara). Two plain clothed lady officers from the HRD went to present an invitation letter to the Nanny Academy on Thurs 4th Dec (I accompanied them) and after a few lies and pretence (no one would acknowledge the invitation letter) we found out that a lady pretending to be on the phone in the reception area was in fact Amara. She immediately started screaming that she was being harassed and claimed that she was a trained lawyer so she knew her rights. She insisted that they were not responsible for any abuse to my son and therefore were not willing to cooperate with the police. Nanny Academy did nothing to help. The relief nanny on the other hand happened to be a complete psycho (insisting that she must continue working in my house despite her contract being up on Mon 9th Dec). In my irritation over the whole incident I told her to collect her N15k (what we agreed for her 10 days work) from Nanny Academy who have not contacted me once since this incident started (I used up 6 months out of the 12 month fee so they owe me half my agency fee.) However 4 days later (on Fri 13th Dec) I woke up to the relief nanny screaming and banging on our gate. I tried to speak to her to find out why she was so belligerent but she kept shouting so I went into the house. Reluctant to transfer money to her account I waited till Monday to send someone to pay the money on my behalf. I have since paid her. Now she claims we agreed N21,500 for 10 days work which is not true (This is a lady that wore a soiled onsie for my son after a diaper change claiming she didnt realise it was soiled). We have since been told that the injury on my sons head is a burn. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL FIRM!

The Nanny Academy has really helped me in many ways. The school helped to broaden my knowledge about children (also children with additional needs). In my first month at the school,I wasn’t really focused thinking I was too young for the course. It was then I realized that you don’t have to be a mother before you can become a nanny/caregiver but with the help of The Nanny Academy, you can definitely become a successful and certified caregiver. My experience at the school made me to realized that I’m not too young for anything, all I need is to be focused and have a growth mindset.I really had a wonderful experience at the school even with the amazing and qualified facilitators. Now with my experience at The Nanny Academy combined with my strong initiative,I am convinced I would be an excellent nanny in future and also have a passion for young learners and I’m ambitious in my goals to be a specialist in early childhood care and education.

Nanny academy will send you candidates in split seconds if you gave an efficient account officer. This candidates will however have minimal training and no background checks or confirmations as you would have been made to believe. The agency also would expect you to verify guarantors after paying agency fees. It’s not great service but hey, this is Nigeria!

Exactly late 2019, I decided to work towards having a formal training in child care. This decision was prompted by my passion and  love for children, coupled with desire to build a career in the world of children.Deep inside me, I know working with children is  one  job I wouldnt think twice or hesitate to sign up, especially if I find myself outside the shores of Nigeria. I consulted a few people ,as i wasnt too sure of where to enroll, one of them  suggested The Nanny Academy (TNA). Precisely in February 2020, I enrolled for the six months childcare certificate program with The Nanny Academy.I  would say, this is one of the best decisions I have taken in preparing myself towards my dream career ( child care giver). I can boldly say that my six months at TNA did not only expose me to the basic and comprehensive knowledge I need to become a professional child caregiver, but I also got to know every ABC to Z I need to know about children and succeed. What amazed me most is the amount of energy the instructors put in doing their jobs, the flexible and fluid way each module is delivered to suit every style of learner as well as the up-to-date knowledge and skills that can be used in real life work experience.I can proudly say, TNA is the best place for any one passionate about building a standard career in childcaregiving in our clime, as there is the option of online program for those  struggling to manage their busy lifestyle as well as a fulltime program for those who can attend in person.I have gained a lot of essential knowledge and skills from TNA,  and I am fully prepared with confidence to work with/ care for children in any part of the world.I cant speak highly enough of TNA, and would not hesitate to recommend them or refer any one as the need may arise!I will remain grateful to the CEO, facilitators, and staff of TNA for being very supportive and always available when students needs support.Thank you TNA for making me a proud alumni.Toyin Obassa

The Nanny Academy is a professionally run institution that awoke my human instincts of giving care. When I was told to take a caregiver course at TNA, I wondered what new things I could possibly learn considering that I have nursed two kids of my own who are now teenagers. However, my assumption that anyone could give proper care to a child and and by extension to adults was challenged as I now know better. There are indeed many things I would do differently now!!!Caregiving goes beyond being there for children and others who require care, it transcends giving and showing love for the people being cared for. The arts, music, home keeping, grooming, safety, and a whole lot more are involved. I now know the difference between a quack and a professional caregiver and TNA made all the difference!!!At TNA, professionalism is the watchword.

Fantastic Academy! I 100% feel the Nanny Academy is hands-down the best nanny school in Nigeria. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here as it was truly unique, super insightful, and life-changing.The knowledge gained in TNA was not just limited to childcare but spanned across excellent parenting skills, cultivating developmental and socialization skills, discipline, safety awareness and life-long caring concern for self and others. Consequently, I gained a lot of knowledge that would help me in life. The sessions were very interactive, discussion based, characterized by brilliant presentations, clear and excellent learning strategies, progressive and critical thinking. The use of ICT for the classes also made the teaching and learning process quite seamless, which was a great advantage for busy students.Mrs Amara Agbim, an expert in childcare and excellent parenting, is really good at impactingknowledge. The other facilitators are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly hence provided a family-like environment that enhanced the learning process at TNA.I strongly recommend people to enrol in the various programs available at TNA.
