Very lovely cathedral. The main church building is of very high standard. I attended Mass there twice and the liturgy was well observed. The choir makes the liturgy a pleasure to partake in.This is the seat of the Metropolitan Archbishop of Lagos Archdiocese

Foremost Catholic Cathedral in the Lagos Ecclesiastical Province. Styled in ancient gothic architecture, the Cathedral has witnessed lots of renovations and modernization without changing the original facade. The Archbishop of Lagos, often celebrates mass here on Sundays and other occasions. The interior is a beautiful sight to behold too.

The place is serene and beautiful. The ambience inside is more beautiful, well setup audio system that you can hear from every part of the church, visuals for those af certain corners of the church to see the happenings at the altar, central air conditioning that is functional all the time to ensure you are very comfortable with little distractions listening the the sermon and participating in the mass.Love the teenage classes on Sundays for my children, the manuals and the timing allow for deep teaching of the Word to them.Worshiping here gives you a warm, family unit experience.

I must confess, I was so pressed for time that I didnt manage to get into the cathedral. However, it is so magnificent that one does not need to get in to be wowed by its grandeur.Just viewing it from outside made the entire experience of visiting Lagos worthwhile. The architecture was one to die for! I just love how churches are designed Gothic style..Next time Im around, maybe I just might get in.

A quaint old cathedral built in the colonial era. Rather small by todays standards, but that, for me, makes it even better, as i feel one with the spirit in this place. Currently getting a make-over (airconditioning, painting). So be mindful of work equipment.

This collosous of an edifice with old German Gothic or Scandinavian design and origin stands quietly in the heart of Lagos Island and a testimony to the early mans architectural and masonry skills.Im not so sure, I think this is a colonial (pre-i dependence) building but anytime is walk pass Catholic Mission Street I cannot help but stop by and appreciate this building. This marvel in architectural feat. Its not so much about the elaborate nature of the structure, but its simplicity and uniqueness that never cease to amaze each and every time I happen to pass by.

The seat of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos. Old Brazilian style building constantly renovated without defacing the initial structure. Centrally located in Lagos Island, it is close to the NITEL building, Kings College, Tafawa Balewa Square as well as the Independence building. Quite a lot of old Brazilian families still worship here even though they have moved away from Lagod island. It holds daily masses, Sunday masses and a lot of history!
