Going there was OK. Food was nice but had to wait for the Amala for a friend. Ordering via jumia food, I was sent 2-3 portions of beans and not the requested 5. Called to complain about this and was told they would forward my issue to management and will get back to me. They didnt. Love the food, dislike the service and how they see customers as stupid.
Ambience is a 3 out of 5, small sitting area and basically no parking, but the food itself is delicious and very affordable. It goes bad quickly so dont you can store it for long 😊😊.
Amazing restaurant for regular Nigerian cuisine. Delivery was timely and the food tasted really nice. Oh! you wont have to break the bank to enjoy a very nice meal.
Truly home cooking... tasty and filling, and most of all, affordable. First time, no regrets. Just won’t sit in.UPDATE: the microwave needs to be upgraded, so that the food actually heats up and faster for those literally picking up. Ordered ahead but the food was cold even after asking for it to be hot. I know it is the microwave that isn’t powerful plus too small to heat up multiple meals especially in a short time.
Poor customer service and delivery. Plus I had the roughest receipt paper, stained with dirt and oil and squeezed like it was picked from the thrash.
Tasty and spicy food.. Good service.. Nice place.. An outlet though.. The place is small though but good as an adhoc outlet.. The location is good area and easy and accessible.
The food here is divine. I have ordered two times now through Jumia food and enjoyed my food. I just hope they continue this way because this is presently my favourite Restaurant for local delicacies, no lies. I have even stopped ordering food from some other restaurants on Jumia food because of them, just to let you know how much I do love their food and oh...it’s super affordable too. I really do hope they continue this way!!
Great meals, tasty and spicy with local varieties. The ambiance is comfy and relaxing. If youre looking for local meals with lots of spices and meat, you will love it here.
Good to be at this place. Highly recommended
Nice food. However, the food is hardly ever hot. Tepid at best. The staff have to microwave virtually everything they sell to you, and I hate always having to microwave food. Service is also a little slow, so try to get there before rush-hour if you plan on eating lunch there during the work week.
If only I could rate less than 1 star. Had the worst meal from this company. The ofada had a ton of stones and the chicken wasnt done, there was blood in it! My office is on ikoyi club road, ofada hut is on Awolowo road, so close, yet the food took at least 2 hours to get to me.
This place is one of the best place to fine most of African lovely delicacies
HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!. This is the second time they have lumped our orders, and the delivery guys take forever to deliver...1. Take for instance if 10 of you orders dodo with your food, they will have all the dodo in 1 PLATE, for you guys to share. This happened to us in my office on one of our orders.2. If 2 of you order rice and they happen to run out of rice, THEY WILL NOT CALL TO INFORM YOU, after delaying the food. They will simply lump the order, send in just one plate of rice and assume you want to share after wasting a lot of your time. This also happened again in real life (we obviously didnt learn the first time)...
The jollof rice here used to be so good but now it has so many stones in it because local rice, but they should still clean the rice properly before it is cooked. i ate it one time and i thought it was a one-off but i got the second time and now i cant get myself to get food from them again #jollofrice
Didnt get a chance to study these place but the environment seems conducive and the food smells good . Sure its gonna taste great as well
The service is good . But their native soup ( ediaekon ) is quite tasteless . I wont be ordering again anytime soon .
Wasnt too impressed. Quality of food doesnt match the relatively high prices here. Theres better food for cheaper to be had close by.
They have managed to hold their ground over the years, they should be operational for up to 5 years (my estimation). They have been the source of affordable food in the highbrow Ikoyi area and they have been effective. The shop can only seat an maximum of 20 people. Most people buy takeouts and order deliveries.
Waooooow u guys as really gone a long far, in fact kuddos to u all.
I am only doing this because I want to see improvements. Not just at the Ofada hut but everywhere in Lagos.Customer service was close to none. The server kept talking over the food I ordered and wasting precious time. Neatness was not there.Clumsiness, back and forths.I couldnt tell if I was buying from a road side vendor. Service was too poor.Customer service is key.Every business owner needs to realize this.
Wont recommend at allTheyll always forget your order and youll nearly starve to death before your food comes, thats if it comes at all.
Good food at an affordable price. Environment could be better
Its my first time of ordering precisely jollof rice. Please your food is so horrible!!!...the meat so small and embarrassing. Appearance of food very poor, taste is nothing to appreciate. Please the amend your cooking ,its way below your name. My friend also ordered..complained bitterly too.
Their Jollof Rice and Moi-Moi is divine!
Tasty nd will have it again
Good dishes at good prices.
Nice place to have variety of Nigerian dishes. Quality service and tasty meals, could improve too.
Good food and a nice place to eat. Good delivery service. The attendants should be trained more on customer service, will help the business more and then when you drive in, you have to practically beg the gate man to allow you in because he keeps saying they dont have a parking space...That beats me. Aside from that, nice affordable and good food
The Jollof rice I bought from Ofada Hut this morning was so bad. It tasted like it was warmed from the previous day. Spice(ingredients) was a lot and it was just horrible. I think a standard should be maintained
Meal here is quite affordable.
Best place to get best local dishes at an affordable price
Food was great and affordable
Great meal at affordable prices
The Amala and Ponmo got sand, The Egusi is not well cooked as well! Never again will I visit the place.you never get a second chance to create a first impression
In general its same great food.
Nice food, decent service and environment, need to better control the temperature within the eating area
The best jollof Rice ever but restaurant need some more work.
Hi Ofada Hut,Myself and my colleagues have ordered the spagetti, ofada rice and jollof rice and we have noticed the following:- The Spagetti had too much spice i.e curry, thyme, bayleaf and maggi- The jollof rice also had a lot of spice that we couldnt eat it at all- The Ofada sauce had more oil than the sauce itself
They need to improve on the quality of food and even the way the food is packaged when you order. they would just put rice, stew, plantain and everything in one bowl like sacrifice. The chicken i ordered today was horrible- so dry and tasted burnt. me wey no sabi cook like that no fit cook chicken as bad as that
Terrible delivery service (and its not the first time). Dont bother ordering for delivery - Placed an order in VI, they said it would take 30-45 minutes, Its 2 hours 30 minutes and they havent delivered or bothered to explain why.
Nice food
Favourites if you are around Falomo - Awolowo Road
Service needs an overhaul. Food array needs enhancement. I like that the ofada rice is served as it locally should...in leaves. Good taste. Jollof rice seems nice as my guests enjoyed it. Its ok to have a local feel but they need to get the local customer service style and system removed totally. If not, youd be better off getting ofada rice from local vendors who would do it just as nice or better but without service care.
Good food, bad customer service and I mean very bad customer service
Cool place along Awolowo Road, Ikoyi
Cool, fair restaurant for a wonderful meal of Ofada Rice
The moin-moin is really nice & the amala & vegetable soup is hot & also nice but i was really not impressed with the environment. you cannot eat in..its really hot and noisy plus the attendants can try to be cleaner and more presentable lookingplus they also sell the vegetable soup when you order swallow..which i found weird but did not complain much cause it was nice
