Overhyped spot. The packaging was the second thing that put me off. Very inconvenient to eat such a meal from the takeout pack. They should have been in different containers . The seafood was well done but the Ofada sauce was subpar. Not very tasty and even duller with the local rice. They were generous with the seafood portion and that’s a good thing. The first issue was the lines didn’t go through although they eventually called me back and got them to take my order. I’m not keen to return but they will do on a day when there are no options in the neighbourhood
This place is unique! The setting, food and services are wonderful. The food is really tasty and the servers uniform is one in town. They do not accept cash here. They have security men to pack your vehicle and keep watch for you. This place is a class to experience.
Hmmm... Their meals are not exactly kid friendly. We ordered a variety of meals. Even though the ofada sauce was supposed to be mild, it was too spicy (and Im a pepper fan). The dodo/yam/sweet potato/corn was served cold even though it arrived last. For the prices we paid per plate, the dodo was too small. If youre not a pepper fan stick with their swallow meals. The strawberry daiquiri in my opinion had too much lime. Will I return, not sure.
Nice cute place. The set up is very welcoming. The staff were courteous and friendly. They have not only Ofada rice, but pounded yam and other swallow were on the menu! The seafood was super. However, its not that cheap to eat here! Meal for one was about N6,400, other combination might land at 8 0r 9K. It was worth the experience. I will like to visit again
Ofada boy is located in Surulere. It has an outdoor and indoor space, but the outdoor space is much bigger, and maybe nicer in dry weather. It was raining when I went and the roof of the outdoor space was leaking, and so there was water on the seats and stuff. Also there were lots of flies, and that was quite unpleasant. The service was not that great either. I had to order my drink twice, because the first person apparently didn’t relay my message. The waiters were lackadaisical. The ofada rice was cold, and so was the ayamase sauce. 3/10The seafood boil was quite nice though, that (and the drink) was literally all I enjoyed about my visit to Ofada boy.
I loved the aesthetics of this location. There was this traditional and modern blend! Ofada boy offers varieties of options when it comes to the meals. You can order ahead (the better option really). Its best to go on weekdays. The customer relations is excellent and the meal preparation time depends on what youre ordering. It is relatively affordable as wellAnd yeah, the palm wine. You should absolutely try it out.
The service was okay. It was a Sunday evening so the place was very packed. The food was also okay, could be better. The only thing I didn’t like was that, I didn’t finish me food, barely touched my turkey and I asked them to pack it for me to take out. When I got home and opened the packed food, I found out that my protein had been swapped to chicken. Very very very unprofessional. I definitely felt like they couldn’t be trusted to maintain the highest level of integrity with my food.
One of the best Ofada I have eaten. From the environmental design to the food, the waitress. Everything is on point.Served the food in all these traditional dishes, the tray is traditional, the table cloth, very comfy chair with back support. You can stay outside or go indoors. The palm wine is okay. Also served using ikeregbe. Everything was on point. You dont even have to call anyone, right there on the table, some buttons serve specific request, bill, make an order and two others.
Hmmmm... How do I start to describe ofadaboy? Love the ambience of the traditional setting with a modern infusion here and there. The meal was very much on point a little pricey but it was worth every dime. The highlight was the serving of the palmwine in the traditional groud calabash. Love the experience. They need to fix the waiter summoning device on the table though.
Ofadaboy is so true to its name and brand. You walk in to eat and it just feels like home. Deliveries are no different. Delivery is prompt, the food is well packaged, and the pack and portion is well done. The food is awesomeeeeee! Kilo expect? The ofada rice and sauce is lit and the proteins are well done. Everything is A1!I’ll totally recommend Ofadaboy to everyone!
The ambience is lovelyThe service was on pointThe food was served in a different way which is good cause its different from what I am used to.I had ofada rice, ofada sauce, egg, assorted, gizzard with palm wine and coconut drinkThe decorations are native and AfricanThey also have African outfits that rhymes with the serenityThey have lovely wooden seats outside and an Ankara settings inside
Fantastic decor. Great ambience. However, I couldnt get to eat the food.Too much crowd (guessing this is due to the holidays). I left there and came back about 40 minutes after, only to be told by the waiter that pepper soup would be available in 2 hours and the readily available food (which is ofada) would be available in 50 minutes!!
I like that their setup is different from other restaurants. Great food too
Differentiated. Good business concept. Will be fascinating to tourists.
Okay, so Ofada boy was quite an experience, its cozy if you want to sit inside or outside ,you have those options. Do not be put off by the name Ofada boy as they sell other types of food there. Their food presentation was fine, though the time used to prepare our orders was quite a lot, we waited 1hour 30 mins before our order was ready, this was really a turn off...but in all the food was tasty, so all is forgiven. One thing to note here is they use POS and cash isnt accepted here, which is quite good since we are trying to push a cashless society. Its a good ambience for taking pictures too.
This place is divine. No words can compare to the food. They are just amazing
Very organized and clean environment. The COVID-19 precautions are very impeccable. The customer service was top-notch👏👏👏. However, the food are freshly prepared so it takes a while for you to eat, Ill advice you order before coming in. I and my friends had an amazing experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great and unique restaurant. Hospitality is superb! Digitally innovative as well could easily be classified as a tech coy. Price of menu quite steep though.
The reception was top notch ...The way their staffs dressed and had this smile on was so cool.... Everything there was indigenous and that made it exceptional from others ...Their food was nice but the the palm wine wasnt at it was already fermenting...Aside this the place was small but the one could take good pictures as the background were nice .
Lovely place, I wish to be there today
It was a very nice experience to say the least. The staffs were very supportive and quite prompt with my order. I got there around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. I would believe this had something to do with the less populated spaces. The place got filled up so quickly as the time approached 3 and 4 pm.I ordered the ofada premium that cost me 3000 naira. It came with ofada rice, ayemase, egg and moi moi. I also ordered a litre of palm wine for 1500 naira. It was really tasty actually and I will Defford be going again.
Whoa whoa whoa! The food is an amazing experience!! I ate Seafood okra with pounded yam.The fact that the pounded yam was actually pounded was an amazing thing and the fresh okra with fresh fish, shrimp and calamari is so good!!My friend who was with me said ‘Now, RaptureCan happen!!Please keep it up!! It’s worth every Naira we paid .
Lovely restaurant, the food was great. I had fisherman soup and I loved it
The seafood ofada is totally on point!
I came from Ibadan and was looking for a nice place to dine and Google brought this restaurant.1. Great Ambience2. Friendly staffs3. Clean Restrooms4. Great food and wine5. Affordable and good bargain....Definitely coming back with friends. Kudos!!!
When you want to have a feel of village environ with a touch of modern look around the mainland this is a place to visit. Food are a little bit high though but I guess its worth. You might have to call ahead sometimes as the seafood okro takes up to an hour. Regardless its a place to visit.
Nice place. The menu Is great. They have tasty local meals. Great family/friends hangout
Its a nice place with friends
Cool ambience to enjoy native meals
Pretty traditional, cozy place. Reminds you, nostalgically, of a time youd go with your parents to the local nkwobi joint for a nice, relaxing night of political jargon you barely understood.I love the palm wine, and particularly liked the nkwobi and jumbo snails. Wished I could have had the bushmeat but it wasnt meant to be as they didnt have it in stock.
Loved the meal, the ofada sauce was perfect and the rice too. The ethnic yoruba setting just made the experience feel more original although its kind of hot eating here in the afternoon as there was no air conditioning, just fans blowing hot air 😰.My biggest beef was the pricing of the menu, ofada sauce with boiled egg and one tiny plate of rice for #2500 is a bit exorbitant. I mean even if Im paying that for an eatery in Surulere then the meal should be in reasonable quantities, had to buy two plates and still didnt eat to my fill 🤦🏾♀️
Best place to get the quality for your money, very nice environment, food tastes so good.
The old Ofada Boy. It was amazing back then.
Nice experience. Dine in the ambiance of the traditional African setting while you enjoy the best of Palm wine and Ofada with dodo.
Its worth your time, Go and see.. Chill and feel💯
Nice food. Cosy environment. I just loved the experience!!!
After hearing so much about Ofadaboy, we decided to try it out. We found parking a few houses away. I was impressed when we got in. There is outside and inside seating. We sat out for a while until there was space inside. The ambiance is pretty cool, giving it that local vibe. I was very disappointed when the food came. The portion is SMALL!! For N1400, I felt unsatisfied. We complained to the manager who said we can just order an extra portion of rice. Anyways, unfortunately we wouldn’t be coming back soon.
Great And nice place to chill and eat something different..though the palmy was not fresh...the seafood Okra and fisherman soup is die for!!!
The ambience 🙌🏾, the food💯
Great ambience. Great food at really affordable prices. Cool spot for relaxing.
The ambience, decor and costume of the staff was great. I ate the Ofada kingdom, it was good enough, not great. The palmwine however was really delicious. The restroom can be much better- air freshener, good quality toilet paper, ambience.
Best palm wine is served...great food
Really nice service...food was worth the hype...totally recommend
I just love the ingenuity of cultural display of Ofadaboy. The fact that there are various menu to choose from and theyre all tastefully cooked makes me wanna go back again and again. Just so you know, its a little pricey
Excellent 👌👌👌Very friendly and polite customer care services👌.Great and fantastic food😋
It had a blend of cultural and contemporary setting, nice ofada rice, great cocktail and palmwine. The place is usually busy, quite small and easily congested. Not much space for pictures or the paparazzi that comes with it. If you’re here for the food then you won’t be disappointed. Least I forget , the manager is friendly and very courteous.
I love the ambience of Ofada boy and your food is amazing
The thing that stood out for me the most was their service.Wonderful experience overall.Id suggest they hang a signboard so that they can be located easily.
Lovely place. Exceptionally lovely food.
Nice foodNice environment
Amazing ambience. Go here to excite your taste buds with spicy and delicious African foods. While waiting for your food, you can order drinks from the bar or pass time playing an African board game.
So there isnt a sign board at the entrance, just the street number and the outstanding wooden gate. Inside is well arranged and decorated. There is a part with high chairs and then regular sitting for 2 or 4 people. There are native elements that go with the ofada boy theme. The wall graffiti, finishing and art pieces help emphasize this theme. There is a bar and the menu seems decent enough. The food was good enough but I was honestly expecting a little more. Would also be nice if there was some finger foods to chew on while waiting for the main meal.If its not a particularly windy day then you might prefer sitting inside. The fans are fine but arent for everyone. The air conditioning wasnt the best for most of our stay. Service took a while as well as payments. The restroom was decent enough, though it needs a little work. The environments can be seen at its best at night. All in all a place you should try for yourself.
Great local concept with a high contemporary feel. Different from the norm. The traditional wears of the attendants is very unique. Variety of traditional foods available makes this place the best in the area. Highly recommended for lovers of culture and history. Well-done.
Food was delicious, hot and presentable. Although a little bit expensive, the food it worth it. Ambience is nice.
Lovely place...good food.It feels a little too crowded/ choked . A more spacious environment will work better for me
Best Ofada I ever had!!
Lovely place, lovely food, kuli kulishake is fantastic
A very lovely ambeince and tasty food.Make sure you try the hot peppersoup
