I don’t believe I had heard about this bistro till a friend suggested it, it’s tucked nicely in a corner so it’s really good for events and a restaurant to go without fear of running into everyone in Lagos, there’s inside and outside dining with ample parking space. My drinks were just there to be honest, not as sweet as how o would’ve loved even tho I ordered a second glass with specific instructions, my pasta was nice even though the Yoruba in me would’ve loved it to be more spicy but that is subjective, I guess I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture before wolfing it down but it was the stir fry pasta.

Really nice ambienceGreat for nuclear family or intimate hangout. The “Naija spaghetti remix” was very tasty.Their chicken avocado 🥑 salad is a proper meal & very crunchy and enjoyable too.The absolute best was the cocktail 🍹 .Pls ask Luke the bartender for his “Special MAI-Tai mix”.It is sooo sweet but packs up a punch of alcohol.Definitely coming back for the drink 🍹.

The food was good!!! Their food is pocketfriendly, I had like a surf and turf platter of Yam chips, prawns, fish, snails and calamari and it was so good, I wanted more. The calamari was tender and tasty not overcooked and rubbery like in most restaurants and I love the cozy atmosphere as well. The only criticism is the waiting time for food and drink.. could be better which is why they do not get 5stars this time...

Casa Lydia is one place I can go to over and over again. Their food is consistently good and the ambience is just right. They have experienced and courteous staff and every experience is memorable.Have I talked about the food enough? No. Their platters are finger-licking good and are not overpriced. When there, ask for gamberetto sauce for the sea food platter... thank me later.🙂 I also like that their bills are all-inclusive, I particularly hate seeing the amount I pay in taxes for a plate of food.

Service wasn’t great which is a far departure from my past visits. Our orders were forgotten and weren’t brought on time. They tried to make up but it was disappointing still.I love the environment. It was clean, the open air I can describe as balmy (because we are in Africa) and fancy but not too fancy. After ordering we were told a few minutes later that our order wasn’t available, we weren’t expecting that and we were disappointed. The food was good as a matter of fact always good anytime I visit.

Ive always loved Casa Lydia. Ive been here a few times and every time I go, I have a great experience. This time, I had my usual club sandwich and Chapman, and it was as delicious as ever. The chips were quite crunchy and well fried. It was nice to see that they had even reduced the prices of some meals to accommodate economic realities, Ive never been to a restaurant that has done that. Lovely ambience, good for solo or group dining. Its just on Glover road well before the traffic lights

Was served fresh orange juice made from bad oranges. The server was nice enough to replace it with a pineapple juice which then tasted quite diluted. I ordered a breakfast dish with chicken livers and mushrooms. The sausages served with that were easily the worst Ive tasted. My partner enjoyed the steak wrap. Tried ordering an avocado salad and they were out of avocados. Shame.

Nice place. Recommended if you are on average budget in Lagos Island. Least room is about $100 (N36,000) per night. I enjoyed their meal of the day chicken curry and basmati rice. Meal cost me about $20 (N7,000). Warm and courteous staff.

I visited in November 2019. The place was just there. Quite hidden. Not easy to locate. Ambience was not fantastic. I had their mashed potatoes and asun. Mashed potatoes was not creamy. The gravy/sauce that came with it was the typical red stew you would compliment with white rice. The asun was basically chopped boneless goat meat without a drop of pepper.

I love the ambience at the bar.The low tempo house music playing in the background is superbAlthough the waiter did not have knowledge of wine and brought us dry red wine instead of sweet red, this is Nigeria once the bottle is opened you have to pay.But the peppered snail substituted for that experience. It was well prepared in the right sauce and the perfect portioning for a starter.Ill visit again.

Casa Lydia is a hidden gem in Lagos. Nestled and seemingly concealed in a bungalow on Glover Rd Ikoyi, there are no external signs. Food is exquisite, but the portions are not generous. Children will love the place as it has several types of hamburgers and chips. You will go back several times to explore the menu. Try the avocado prawn salad

This is my third visit here and I don’t recall being disappointed. The set up is pretty basic, a bit gloomy I think but it works so no problem. The food was amazing!! The spaghetti and prawns was divine! The left over was still lovely 3 days after!! ( it was refrigerated )The spaghetti was a bit bland but the meatballs were ok. A solid 6.The Jollof had that home over fire wood cooked feel, just mouth watering.Overall I’ll give the food an 8 1/2 . I will definitely visit again. The drinks was amazing as well. The service is above average so that fine. The pricing is closer to the expensive side than budget friendly. For the place and quality, it’s fair though. The only challenge with this place is that if you don’t look closely, you may miss your turning. Parking isn’t also the best. I haven’t seen it at peak capacity though so I don’t know how that would work.Overall, I recommend.
