I’ve had my eyes on The house Lagos since forever, but I highly doubted the lighting 😂 so I kept procrastinating my visit. I finally gathered courage to make a dinner stop, picture perfect or not!The space: The restaurant design theme is literally its name 👌. The house has different sections all designed to look like a regular home, there’s a parlour, a living room, a white room, a study, a booth, a balcony, a dining room *catches breath* and a patio (very nice patio 😉 which has the signature house bench). I dined in the living room and it’s quite an intimate space with low lit candles on each table. The menu was shared in the almost dark room and we were given menu lamps (in my words a baby torch lights). Homely, dark and intimate.The food: We had Seafood pasta and The House Red Thai Curry and Rice, I requested to have my pasta tomato based and it was all shades of yummy. The seafood pasta portion was good, it was very well seasoned and the seafood was in abundance. The seafood consisted of squids, shrimps, prawns and even some stuff I can’t remember. Very good for the price.The red Thai Curry and rice tasted amazing, my only wish is that there were more chicken chunks in the sauce, I mixed up chicken and carrots 😩 and it was quite sad to think you picked up a chicken piece only to find out it was a 🥕 .The Drinks: We had the Amaretto sour and Passion Daiquiri. In my partner’s words the Amaretto sour is the best cocktail he has ever tasted, I didn’t fully agree 🤷🏾‍♀️ because I tasted 🍒 and I really don’t like cherry flavour or even the look 😩. My passion Daiquiri on the other hand was perfect for me, just perfect!The service is remarkable 👌

Nice hangout spot with friendly waiters. I came with some friends to have a great time. We stayed outside because there was no space inside. I ordered the T-bone steak with the Fauz Buzz cocktail. The steak felt dry and kinda bare, I expected more. Although I enjoyed the cocktail. All in all i had a nice time

The ambience is interesting. Low light with lit candles.Gives a certain vibe thats dope.They had warm blankets for people who got cold due to the aggressive air conditioning.Which was niceThe food was okay.The spicy chicken was truly spicy. The ofada rice was so nice, affordable and a lot!! I got the Moscow mule cocktail and it was mixed very well.Even though the food and drink were great for me, it took 25 minutes for someone to attend to us. It seemed like they didnt have enough waitersHowever, the waiter that eventually attended to us was very hospitable and he apologized for the delay.I will definitely visit here again especially on a Friday night because of the great vibe the place has. Hopefully there will be more waiters and I wouldnt have to wait that long to be attended to

The space: The space was great, extremely cozy, just what I needed at the point.Food & drinks: The wait time was not bad, The firewood rice was bland but the snail sauce made it work, even if I had to send the snail back the first time because it had so much pepper, I liked that they were able to alter the food, without ruining the taste. I had a pineapple drink & it was actual pineapple. I won’t be having the same food combo again.Service: Their service was exceptional, No hard stares because you want your food a certain way, they were really helpful.I think this is a great spot, they can do better with the firewood rice but all round, it’s a great spot.

Service was top notch. The waiting time for the food need to be worked on. The food tastes delicious and the waiters were nice. The lightning of the to was too dim to the point they had to bring like those little fancy torch to look at the menu.

I really really love The House. I’ve been there like 3 times and I honestly don’t have any complaints. The service is great, the food is really delicious, the ambience is great and cozy. Everything is just great, I really hope they don’t reduce their quality and service.

What I liked most about The House was its blending of both Nigerian and Western Cuisine on its menu. For a guy who mostly pays to eat non-Nigerian food when hes out of the country, that was a good sign for me.As I went there on a Friday evening, the Friday evening/weekend crowd were already getting into their groove in their canopied groupings just as you get into the propertys compound. Nice, urbane mostly professional crowd.Inside was not bad at all. You could get a dedicated room for your private party/get-together.Drinks and food are well priced for Victoria Island. Not bad at all. Good DJ too.I noticed however that ingredients for some of the menu dishes items were not available - avocados and salmon were key examples. The House staff should know whats not available and let patrons know immediately so they manage expectations appropriately.

Very lovely set up that makes you feel relaxed. Despite the initial issue trying to order something off the menu, we really loved the food when it arrived. Totally worth your money - portion size and taste. Also, if possible get a reservation before visiting. They have several areas available.They gave us free masks at the entrance.

From the outdoor sit out to the reception to the dinning room and the smoke room is lit. They have a warm reception, great staff and service. The food and its serving was amazing. You can book a reservation too.

This gets a just okay rating, as I’d just visited a four star Chinese restaurant with mad ambience and delicious food that turned out to be slightly cheaper than eating here. Our bill was 42k and we had 4 cocktails, 2 starters and 2 main dishes.Cost: Pricey (how are lamb chops 16k?)Ambience: Just okayFood quality: Great. My date loved her pasta and my big fish was also great.Popularity: high. I just winged it and went, but I will advise you make a reservation as this house seemed almost full when we got there. Service: Their waiters were very good.

Warm ambience and Nice decor. The concept of the living room for dining is really cool and complete with the decor of an actual house with sofas and blankets to chill. However it’s not well lit so you will struggle with getting clear pictures.Food is delicious and yummy 😋Parking is a mess as just street parking is available so you will have a hard time on a packed day.Service was a tad too slow for me and it was an easy Sunday 🤷🏽‍♀️

Loved the setup and names of their various spaces.Sat in the living room and the ambience was just right with sofas, dining table and paired seats. Also blankets were available.Our starter of garlic bread and snail took too long for a starter and even though the snail was spicy and nice, the garlic bread barely tasted like garlic bread.Jerk chicken meal was nice and tasty.Spare ribs were juicy and tender.Service was quite slow but the waiter apologised.Street parking is available, be ready to tip.Perfect for a date night or a group hangout!

Service was decent (thanks to waiter Samuel), wait time was relatively long. Ambience was chill, music was vibes. Outdoor sitting was pretty chill, but I wouldnt recommend to people who cant deal with heat and small to medium sized crowds. The meals were overall decent, nothing mind blowing. Seating accommodates groups nicely. Indoor seating has a cozy feel to it, not necessarily private tho. Reception and reservation follow through is pretty decent too. Enjoy

The staff are cordial, the environment is serene and clean and the food tastes just as great as it looks in pictures and menu. The House is the cozy place you’d want to hang out with friends or bae. It has a lovely ambiance outside (where I mostly sat). Nice picture spots and some Christmas decorations.The food options are interesting and exciting. We ordered starters and then dinner to go. The starters took about 15-20 minutes to be prepared and served. They were very well made and tasted great too.The take aways were very nice as well. The portions were good, two people could easily share a meal. I ordered the Ofada Rice with plantain and boiled egg. Nicely packaged as well - branding on point.Customer service was on point as well. The staff was helpful, friendly and responsive. They got the orders right and assisted/made suggestions while choosing food.Downside to the Resturant is the street parking. If you come with a car, it may be a hassle finding where to park or how to navigate that.

I had visited once with friends at night, but it didn’t feel like an actual experience.So, I went back there today with my partner and the manager took us round, it was an amazing experience.If you love cozy, warm and private, the house is definitely the place to be.It was dark inside, so we couldn’t take photos inside. Every room was a total experience and it had this intimate feel. You can literally sleep and cover up with duvet (we saw people doing this, so it’s an actual thing there). It’s indeed “The house”.I particularly love the food, it’s African and western at the same time. We ended up sitting outside.The waiters were very polite and we didn’t leave till late at night.The House is perfect for friends hangout, house party, lovers night out, if you love your privacy and like to be alone. A couple came with their kids (I didn’t think that was wise majorly because people were really smoking outside and I particularly felt the kids were too young to be inhaling all that).The only reason I am rating The House 4 star is because the music outside was too loud.

The whole house concept of this restaurant is an awesome & brilliant idea. The COVID-19 protocol was strictly followed, nose masks were provided. There are private rooms with the rule of consuming food worth 200k for 2 hours.The living room is a very comfortable to work or hangout with friends. It’s a place you could go with your laptop to work, or visit with a friend to read books or watch match.The Ginger Citrus Burst drink I had was strongly dominated by ginger & lemon which I enjoyed. I had The House Red Thai Curry( which consists of curry sauce, chicken & basmati rice) The rice was perfectly done. It was basmati rice by the way. The curry sauce was thick, rich with chicken, onions and pepper. It was adequate for the rice served. The food was served hot as well. Overall it is a well-prepared delectable meal with great presentation and an interesting flavour I’ve never experienced before. I’d love to revisit this restaurant.

Always a great experience. The House is one of the most consistent restaurants in all of Lagos. Youre certain of the same quality taste with the food. The menu is rich with countless options. If youve never visited, I wholeheartedly recommend that you do. Great food and ambience!

Absolutely loved it! My seafood pasta was made to perfection. Creamy and spicy at the same time, how they pulled that off, I have no idea!The food was great. Outdoor ambience was relaxing. Indoors just didnt cut it for us so we took our party outdoors.Service was prompt. Staff friendly and helpful. In short, it was a beautiful cap to an already splendid weekend.I recommend!

A cosy spot with a very good idea of different rooms. The service did however let it down as food and drinks took an eternity to arrive and all turned up at very different times with the last arriving when others were done eating. It is a very nice spot regardless.

The house is not your regular restaurant because you actually feel at home. It has different rooms which are cozy and private if that’s what you’re looking for. I love the outside space and the fact that there are games or books to unwind with. The complimentary chips are a winner and I enjoyed my meal.

The outdoor seating gives real house vibes. Just like sitting outside in your garden, eating, drinking and conversing with friends.Our waitress was polite. The chicken wings perfectly made: sticky, well marinated and juicy.

Loved the ambience, very serene and beautiful. The food was also very yummy! From starter to main course. Didn’t try out deserts though, maybe next time. They also provided games to be played which also encouraged conversations amongst everyone present. Very good experience generally!

I really enjoyed the ambience. I had the smoky jollof with spicy turkey which was quite delicious. My friend had the jerk chicken and jollof rice which she enjoyed. Our waiter, Karo was friendly and helpful. My experience at The House Lagos was 10/10. Cant wait to visit again.

The house is a great place to go to relax because of its cosy ambience inside. The waiters were nice and moved quickly to cater for my friends and I. Granted, this isnt a 5 star rating because some of the food like the Kelewele and Pineapple drink were not great but you see that stir fry jollof, God! Thats the food to eat and recommend always!! Also, the red thai curry was great as well.

It’s just Awesome!

I rarely rate a restaurant ‘five stars’, but this particular space is rather different than a lot I’ve been to. From the homely vibe, to the serenity of the environment, to its intricate beauty - everything was in sync with me. Most importantly, they showed great customer relationship to my friend and I as shown by the staffs that attended to us. If I ever visit again it’ll definitely be because of how good I was treated, and yes, to have the scotch eggs again with the creamy house sauce. 💙

Me and my girls went to have lunch and chill in the “living room” for a bit. It’s by far the most comfortable space/location to get a delicious meal in Lagos (that I’ve been to). We had our feet up in the couch, little blanket to keep warm and good service.Spicy prawns and sweet potatoes tasted amazing and I look forward to trying other things...

Great homey and relaxed concept. The rooms special names like the parlour and the service was warm and attentive without being to much. We were greeted by a hostess with the loveliest smile ever. After we got a tour, dinner was ready and we tucked into the jerk chicken, grilled fish entrees, and their special jollof rice.

Good service, observant, responsive and friendly staff, flavorful food served in ample portions (whew! Enjoy it better when youre really empty). A must go.

1st of its kind in Lagos- Great Place to hang out /socialize. 6 different rooms each with a different theme - The Living room, The parlor(Minimum spend of 50k),The Booth (Dance Floor), The Study, The White Room(Cigar Room) and The Photo Cafe. Each room is tastefully furnished and feels like a home away from home. Reservations are essential. The food was just ok(not spectacular) standard pricing. The service however outstanding.

First time and was quite impressed. Caters to your privacy needs, as deep as they may be. The staff are very well trained and professional too.

The ambience was great and the food was enjoyable. The service could be improved as the waiter wasnt particularly attentive and that left something to be desired. I had the Buttermilk Burger and it was phenomenal. Ill definitely go there again.

Its a regular house that was built into a lounge/bar/restaurant. This gives it a very homely and chilled out vibe. It works as well for brunch as it does for a night out with the crew. The staff are also polite and super helpful. Oh, the food is amazing too!

Been to the house twice now and Im just realising that its divided into different sections of an actual house! Lol. Really good customer service. No doubt the house serves really amazing food but they only have 2 kinds of burgers! Just 2 😒😒. The ventilation and lighting in the boot is just bad!

Note of caution: That Ofada Rice with Plantains is enough to feed three adults watching their weights or 2 adults that couldn’t care less. The House is true to its name, with cozy rooms where you can really feel at home.

I’ve been to the House twice, both times for send forth parties for colleagues. I love the ambience of the place. I love the all white color theme. Very lovely. The food is great too. I haven’t really explored this place though. I have only been in the same room, can’t remember what they named it now. Some where upstairs.I definitely recommend the room for special, intimate parties. You get full privacy and great service.

This place serves the best jollof in Lagos, hands down! I had the smoky jollof with turkey. We also had the scotch eggs, which I did not enjoy but the rice made up for it. The drinks were good as well.

This is was my second visit to the restaurant. My first experience was awesome. I took my partner there on Fathers day. It was a nice chill out spot. We dined in the Living room. They have different places you will find in a Proper house. Just as the name goes. Becos of my first experience, I recommended the restaurant to my friend to host her partners birthday. We called a night before to book. We actually wanted The White Room, becks of the space and loud music, but we were told ot was already booked for a function. So we booked The Boot. On getting there the next day, we found out The White room wasnt booked. We requested to be moved up there, because it instantly seemed like we were initially lied to. Well there was an explanation to that and a back and fort argument.The Operations Manager was stepped in and handled the misconceptions excellently well. In a few seconds he sorted use out. Moved is to where we wanted and ensured we were happy at the end of the day. Also offered a free shot for the stress. I thought that was going the extra mile to make a customer happy which we really appreciated. Although The White room is on the VERY high side. We spent almost a Million on about 20 guests that night.. it was ridiculous.Thanks to Mr Funsho for making us happy at the end of the day against all odds.
