Quiet, serene chill spot. Circa is a very good place to go if seeking a quiet, relaxed night out. Its a bit small but thats fine, nice ambience, good table service and food delivery time is quick. The price point is moderate for a restaurant of that standard and the cocktails come in large glasses, much larger than your regular cocktail glasses - definitely a plus. The food quality is also super, will definitely return.
It is easy to get it mixed up with Circa Non Pareil which is a relatively bigger restaurant along admiralty the way. I was surprised by how small the interior of Circa Lagos is. It was very jam packed and crowded when I visited. It was a really annoying experience because the place was very noisy and you could hear what other diners are saying. The meal was quite basic, not satisfying and over priced for its standard. I mean, this place is meant to be a bistro but I think it is too expensive to be called a bistro. The wait time could also be shorter. To be honest, Im struggling to remember what I enjoyed about this place. Well, maybe the food tasted okay 👌 is a plus.
I visited the bar and the ambience is lovely. It has high ceilings and high windows, but what caught my attention first was the display of old typewriters on the wall. The bar is nice too, and the staff is cordial. My friends and I ordered the seafood platter (fried yam, sweet potato fries, plantains, fish, calamari and snail, it comes with pepper sauce, tartar sauce and ketchup) and it was nice. It was my first time there and Ill definitely visit again. 9/10. I cant say what the other parts of the establishment are like, but I enjoyed my visit here.
When I entered Circa, I was shocked by the size. Its really small so it’s easy to hear everyone’s voice and then the music adds to it. It can be good for brunch with the girls but not a date night. The virgin mojito tasted like lime. The mixed grill and lamb curry were decent but the surf and turf is a no-go. Loud music was also playing with the sounds from blender so it was just really noisy.
First thing you need to know about Circa is there are two of them - Circa Non Pareil (located on Admiralty way, which you need to make a reservation for) and Circa Lagos located somewhere inside a residential part of Lekki phase 1. The former is def high-end.For the food, it took a bit of time (somewhere around 20mins) to get our order, however it tasted nice. I’d say it’s quite pricey for the sort of restaurant it is, compared to places like Cactus. All in all, 3.5 for the food and 4 for the customer service.
Circa lagos is located in lekki phase 1, its different from the Circa non pareil. The ambiance was great, the place is not designed for a large crowd, its also secluded from all the noise and busy buzz of lekki. The customer service was great☺ atleast the waitress that attended to me was amazing🤭, she was patient and attentive. The food was tasty, the rice was great, the sauteed beef sauce was amazing, the salmon was cooked just right, seasoning was proportionately applied. The salad I didnt like it much😏 but thats because I prefer coslow😁 However, I enjoyed my mocktails. The pricing is just about the same with every other restaurant out there but for an average Nigerian, its pricey. They also have an outdoor area you can sit and eat as well, which I will love to try if I go back there, the serene is really lovely😊
Very nice, I had the full English Breakfast and it was truly awesome, nice place, quiet environment, good food
Cosy place and the food and cocktails are good. The oxtail is delicious.
It was nice and quiet.... I ordered a take away which took a while but I was informed when I placed my order. My meal was lovely....
I absolutely love Circa Lagos!!! This was my first time here and I wondered why. I ordered a burger which was huge and absolutely delicious. The patty was perfectly cooked and the bun was nice and fresh. My friend ordered the lamb chops with rice and he enjoyed his meal as well. The only turn off was that our food was served about 50 minutes after we placed our order.
Circa Lagos is hidden from the hustle and bustle of Lekki. It should not be confused with Circa Non Pareil. It is a serene atmosphere but a bit small. As such, when it full, you cannot have intimate conversation as it get a bit noisy. It was odd when we offered groundnut and kulikuli as appetiser. I ordered beef ribs and they were really good. The chapman could have been better, I have had better. Overall, it was a good experience. Parking is a bit of a nightmare when it’s full, but street parking is available for a fee.
Firstly, there is Circa Lagos and Circa Non Pareil. Dont just type CIRCA when searching, be sure who you want to be with😊. Theyre both on the same Lekki axis. Circa lagos is a bit hidden, drive slowly and trust that google map wont mislead you on this one🤞🏽. Very quiet location with well mannered members of staff. Every moment in there takes your mind off the Lagos daily wahala. Oh! For the foodies, they have you covered. Really good food👍🏽😉.
I was at borough lovely boutique hotel, very neat and quiet, hygiene still needs to be worked on, there was a chewing gum stuck to the wall. Service was prompt. Felt like I was in UK
Very nice place for midday-night outing. Cozy also, perfect for dates. I tried the Chicken Yassa and it was so good.
The food here is good and the presentation is awesome!Drinks are tasty even the mocktails. I went here for a birthday, we set at the rooftop (it has a very nice view)They had velvet, which i did not understand, if i parked myself why do i have to pay for valet? All in all its a nice place to eat, great for pictures also. The view from the top is very very nice!
This place is amazing and cozy and intimate. It’s away from noise so you can have a convo with your partner and actually hear them. And the food is just delicious. Pricey but worth it❤️
This is a review for the restaurant.Very friendly atmosphere. Spectacular service. Their pesto pasta is magnificent. Bit on the pricy side but worth every cent. Lounge area is perfect for group dining. The outside space is available for group dinings also. Safety protocols are observed. Limited parking space area though.
The ambience was adequate (if you’re a fan of somewhat loud music and background chatter. I had the mixed grill and to be honest, I wanted to like it, but I couldn’t. The “steak” was over cooked and the chicken seemed to have been grilled too much on one side leaving a bitter after taste…the things I loved on the plate were the baked beans and potatoes, for the price I honestly expected better. 3 stars because the service was great.
The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. I thought it was really nice that the Manager was very hands on and organized. Will definitely visit again.
What can I say, Circa provided me with the best birthday experience, the staff here were welcoming to my guest and I, they paid attention to details and the food was freshly cooked, very tasty and well presented. The waiter was able to explain the menu without missing notes and they have an eclectic blend of cuisines. If you are looking for a place with high quality food, top shelf spirit and stellar customer service, think Circa. The only issue I had was the waiting time apart from that I had an excellent service.
Nice cozy space, the food portion was quite large and delicious. Had pasta and oxtail. They were also courteous. The only let down was there was no dessert. Other than that it was a sumptuous meal.
Lovely environment, tasty food and beautiful service
This is the best restaurant in Lagos. Every meal is a hit! Its hard to achieve that in this city. And the ambience is wonderful, the staff are very attentive. I just love it there
The ambience is lovely. Great vibe with not so loud music. It feels like a hidden spot in Lekki. The location is pretty accessible once you input it into maps. The prices of their food range from ₦3,000 to ₦8,000 but its definitely worth it. The staff are courteous and welcoming. There is also a sitting area outside if you want the feel of the natural breeze on you
Best restaurant experience so far!* lovely enclosed setting.* was served kuli kuli and groundnut while I waited for my friend to arrive, another arrived while we deliberated on the menu- no visible charge* didnt like the first drink that was recommended, virgin Mojito, and it was changed after a few questions of my kind of taste was asked- no extra charges.*picked the oxtail and potatoes and it was delicious! Couldnt finish it so I took it home and mum also loved it.* the bread and butter entrée too was really good!*The staff were really nice!.Best experience so far. Will definitely visit again
I was surprised to find such a quiet and almost coded restaurant like this in Lekki. I enjoyed my sandwich, though they messed up my dates food. He ordered the Greek salad and it came with cheese that had gone bad :-( They were sensible enough to replace the dish and this time, with the cheese on the side. 4 stars for that mess.
Very lush & yummy food except the brownie & ice cream which werent nice (the dessert was complimentary but still...).Excellent service, hope they keep it up.Lovely ambience.
Beautiful and serene environment ✌️
It was a pretty great place. I didnt stay for long, so I would have to edit my review for better details when next I visit. The atmosphere was quite welcoming yet intimate.
My Circa ExperienceI’ve never been disappointed dining here. The consistency in the quality of food and service, regardless of time and occasion is very Impressive! My favorite on the menu is the chicken ballottine on a bed of stir fried vermicelli, so LUSCIOUS!!!Give it a try, and you will thank me later.Culinary Elegance ✅Excellent Food✅Great service ✅Fine Wine✅Very Friendly and Courteous Staff✅Food Presentation ✅Lovely Ambiance ✅Highly Recommend#LagosLivingLagosLoving
They have excellent customer service. I personally liked the okoloko drink and the chicken alfredo pasta
Really neat place with good food. So i ordered the oxtail and it wasnt as soft as should be, i complained and when the bill came i got a 20% discount. Thats service right there!
Rude owner! My uncles asked for water to wash hands, the supposed owner wasnt polite in telling them to go wash hands in the wash room, so arrogant! He disgusts me, I had fries and fish fillet, not really nice. No repeat business from me ever.
Beautiful ambience, wonderful staff and most of all very courteous owner Owolabi. An overall Beautiful experience and time spent with great friends. I will definitely return!
The food was amazing, had the Alfredo pasta and asun, both tasted awesome.Nice service too and very friendly waiters.
It was really nice. And the food is quite affordable
The atmosphere was great but our drinks came abit late. They could do more about staff customer services.
Always have a wonderful time here. The food is great, service is great and the prices arent over the top. Awesome spot for an intimate birthday party or dinner with friends. Will of course visit again.
A quiet and neatly tucked upscale restaurant in the belly of Lekki phase 1 in Lagos. From winding through the roads to find it and then winding through its mid tempo menu, Circa is essentially a fine dining place but with the Lagos air about it.Attached to the Borough hotel, its clientele are what Nigerians call the upwardly mobile and perhaps a few wannabes looking to up their tastes and networking circles. The ambience is well though through and the setting is a brilliant use of space within and without. The food is pleasantly quick to arrive and the taste is near perfect. The grilled salmon is oh la la! and annoyingly calling for an unending experience as the flesh meddles with your mind, reminiscent of those Turkish restaurants on the banks of the Black sea.The prices are average for the class of its clientele. With $100 you will prop that relationship with two glasses of reds to accompany the joy. They allow pre-ordering, so you might take advantage of that for a large crew of diners.
Really loved the ambiance here. The staff were friendly, and the food came out on time. Menu was priced moderately.
Beautiful n exquisitely thought n put together.Love the private serene environment n the food and service is top notch!
Food was good but wasnt so fantastic in my opinion. Good service too and great ambience. Could use some expansion as the tables are quite tight and close to each other. Ordered the mixed grill and it was pretty okay couldnt finish it so yea, portions are large.
Hmmm... very highbrow restaurant and lounge with world class services. They have got great food and drinks hut quite pricie .The ambience is great too
Circa has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Lagos. The ambience and food are great but what keeps me coming back is the service, it’s hard to find good service in Lagos restaurants.Food is great and decently priced. My favorites are the Chicken Yassa, Surf ‘n’ Turf and oxtail. The Okoloko cocktail is a must-try when you visit.NB: Not to be confused with Circa Non Pareil which is also located in Lekki Phase 1
Lovely. Absolutely enjoyed my time and lunch there. The food was great, the service was excellent and the menu wasnt too expensive(or at least I got my moneys worth)
The oxtail and potatoes (mash or sauteed) is a winner. Also, add in the alfredo creamy spaghetti and you have hit the jackpot.
Loved the ambience and the food.
Has a beautiful and modest colours, a really cute pleasing restaurant. The sun rays through the opening on the roof is so cool.
It was such a lovely placeThe food was so good. The customer service was top-notch.If you dont like ur food, it will be replaced. How cool 😎
I absolutely loved it there!! The food was amazing... Definitely going back again 😍
Mixed grill is great. They appreciate feedback and implement
Awesome spot, their food is always very good, they’re consistent and it’s run by very friendly and attentive people...
First, the customer service is on point. I loved the service. Although the place was full when we got there but it was nice. Ambience is ok. There is no signage outside the gate though but the number is very visible. Now to the food, wait time was about 25 - 35 minutes and the food was worth the wait. The chicken yazza and the spicy pasta was so on point. The chicken wings are well done too. The portion they serve one person can feed 2 people. I struggled to finish mine. I like the mirror at the rest room area. Lol. The average price of food is 5k and small water or drink is 550. Chapman/mocktails are around 1500. They do not charge a service fee but you pay VAT which is expected. My experience was really lovely. I will definitely be coming here often.
Lovely hip place. Cool crowd. The decor and ambiance is quite refreshing. Loved the food the cocktails. I had the okoloko which was just out of this planet. Circa feels like a place that can host you with whatever reason you have in might, be it a night out with friends or a romantic rendezvous. And there is adequate parking available.
Very private and comfy. If you are looking for a perfect meeting spot, circa Lagos is just that.
Food was very good. Staff were courteous and nice. Clean environment. Highly recommended
Nice mealGreat customer service 🥳They sang the birthday song for me !!
Circa Lagos is next to a hotel called The Borough (same owner) on a small street in Lekki Phase 1. Its a different place from Circa Non Pareil on Admiralty Way. Im making that distinction in case anyone, like me, got the two confused. I liked the food here. Had the double crunch chicken wings (not pictured), which were huuuge. I like when portions make sense. Also had the surf n turf. The lamb was supposed to medium but was well done (sigh). Overall, it was quite good. Worth checking out.
Come and have the experience and you know exactly what I am saying
This place is small, been there twice and couldnt get seats. Prices on the high side but apparently the food is great(hence the lack of free seats). Just personally hasnt worked for me, this rating could change in future.
Best breakfasts bar none!! Great food. Fantastic portions. Attentive service. Loved it!
The oxtail was really yummy!!
Needed to order food to go and was convinced by an amazing manager on what to order. Conclusion, absolutely worth it.
Nice ambience but not on a major street in Lekki. Google maps will take you right to it. The Chicken Yassa and steamed rice was really tasty. However, I feel the portion of Chicken Ballotine on a bed of stir fried Vermicelli was really small and not good value for the price. All in all, it was a nice experience
Good customer service with nice meals..a bit pricy
A nice place to relax and see the water
One of the few places I continuously go back to. The duck burger is fantastic.
The ambiance is nice, but the decor could be a bit better especially when it comes to the color scheme. I enjoyed the background music (please keep it as background and dont turn it up loud like most places do). The food presentation was also nice with my fish and chips being served on a wood block. The service was professional and friendly. I would just add that they should check in with guests in a timely manner and dont leave us waiting for the check. I recommend this place. Very chic and modern and right next to a brand new boutique hotel.
Great meal and great customer service.
One of the best Lounge and Hotel in Lagos, The food is so good and service is amazing
This place is so good, I visited twice in 8 days. I have always gone to Casa Lydia for avocado, shrimp salad, after my first visit here, I had different views-still love you Casa *forgive me* lolThis shrimps are well made, the dressing is delicious but I reckon the lettuce is a bit too much. 🥗🦐🥑I drink cosmopolitan, I love it. the bartender assured me itll be nice and, it was. Except the server spilled it a little🍸dodo gives me pure joy but when potatoes are done right, Ill give me rigth foot. the buttery boiled/grilled potatoes here taste heavenly and melts in your mouth 😋I love how the owner goes around checking in and having a chat with customers.Thank you for not putting a television in the restaurant dinning area (I think theres a lounge for that) it allows people chat and engage with one another while eating. Finally, constructive criticism, a MIND THE GLASS SIGN or SOME SORT OF INDICATION (lights perhaps) WOULD COME HANDY TO SHOW THERES A GLASS DOOR (yes, some people dont see properly - negligence law suit dont know dah wan oooo)
I have loved the food here every single time. We’re waiting on their dessert menu, because for now it seems it’s non existent.Lovely, peaceful environs, soothing ambience. Some chatter when there’s a crowd but nothing distracting if you’re catching up with friends yourself.
Been here a few times, the food and drinks are always spot on the money.Service could be much better cordinated and more professional....... like I would love to not have my order mixed up or late
A bit small..so make sure you call to reserve your table! The pesto pasta was good albeit somewhat dry..could do with a little more sauce so its smoother in the mouth..but the prawns were delicious!!!!
Good ambience. Great for a low key night out. Don’t forget to try “the okoloko” 😉
It was a lovely afternoon with great meals and very warm attention from the waiters.
Cool and ambient environment...good foods too
