I had 3 scoops of ice cream: Baileys, white chocolate and coffee. I paired this delicious ice cream with coconut boule. Each scoop of ice cream is about 900 naira and the coconut boule is 609 naira, total cost including VAT was about 3,700 naira. I love Eric Kayser VI and the Ikoyi branch didnt disappoint. Oh! Before I forget they have a very beautiful space.
Really disappointed. I had heard nothing but good things about Eric Kayser, Ikoyi. However, my experience with them was less than pleasant. As a first time customer, I walked into the restaurant and stood at the counter viewing the products on display.I greeted a waiter to call his attention, but he walked past me like I was invisible. As he was returning, I called out to him again and he claimed he didnt hear or see me the first time I spoke to him (which is weird considering that he was less than 6 inches away from me when he walked passed me). Anyway, I asked for assistance in ordering and he said he needs to quickly attend to someone else. That was fair enough. So I took my seat. He came to my table later and asked what Id like. I told him to give me a few minutes to scan the QR code and go through the menu, then come back. This waiter NEVER came back. Instead, I witnessed him attend to other customers who walked in AFTER I did. He even attended to one who took a seat right in front of me. The waiter continued to ignore me.The card with the QR code indicates the link has a call icon for waiter service. However, there is no such icon on the QR webpage. You have to hope a waiter passes by you and then signal to him/her, or you have to approach the staff at the counter.I waited at my table for over 15 minutes. Finally, another waiter came to my table. I told him I had been waiting a while and his colleague who I had asked to come back was totally ignoring. He was so impatient me with, he didnt even let me finish speaking. He just jumped right in, interrupting me and said Im sorry about, IL get you a menu. I said I have the menu from the QR code. However, the waiter walked away to fetch a paper menu. He returned and I told him I was trying to tell him I didnt need the paper menu cos I already have the menu from the QR code. I suggested that he be a bit more patient so he can hear a customer out completely and actually know what to do to help the customer. He apologised. He also said he thought I was a student of Alliance Francaise (which shares the same building with the restaurant). While there is nothing wrong with being a student, I felt like I was profiled, and presumed less worthy of service than the other customers simply because of my appearance. It was Monday morning, and I was dressed casually (leggings, a long free top and sneakers) giving me an appearance on the petite side. For people (like this waiter) who tend to judge books by their covers, my appearance did not give off an elevated status vibe.Long story short, I left without ordering anything. I dropped a review on the QR webpage for the restaurant, detailing this disappointing experience. It was truly disappointing.Aside from this experience, the place does have a lovely setting. I cant say anything about the food because I was too offended to spend my money in a place that clearly looked down on me.I would recommend it, if you dont mind the possibility of witnessing (or experiencing) eye-service and profiling.
I must say this branch is more beautiful than the one in Victoria island. I had dinner at a restaurant close by and only went there for dessert.I had different flavors of their gelato & my friend had their brownie which she really enjoyed. I must say the gelato tasted amazing. The lady that attended to us wasn’t exactly pleasant but she was really friendly to the white guys that were there, I won’t say I experienced racism in my country but that’s fine. And the croissant! I mean who goes to a French restaurant without buying the croissant, I got the plain croissant and the pain au chocolat which I really enjoyed at home with a cup of coffee.
Great huge space inside cafe. Big outdoor sitting area with garden.Street View and noise from always busy Street quite disturbing... parking and entrance issues
Great menu, great customer service with a great manager who treats his customers like family.
Nice place. If youre really hungry and needs some heavy meal, it isnt a place for you, but if you want to have a feel of Paris in Lagos Nigeria, then its a place for you.Food is tasty... I particularly like the crunchy chicken burger 🍔😋.
Very nice ambiance and clean, well maintained, Well secured. It has indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor area has high ceiling which is really good, the seating area is well arranged and clean. The interior outlook is neat and simple but calm. The outdoor seating is relaxing as we and shisha is available. The choices of pastry is not as much as in VI branch, but its totally ok. Service is good and staff are attentive.
Beautiful restaurant , great service and very nice ambiance. The meals were also greatPart 2Visited again during the MasterCard pizza 🍕 week had 3 different pizzas that were yummy and the service was also great. As parking j wouldn’t say that have valley parking. It’s paid service.Follow me on Instagram @djeenah_1 and subscribe to my YouTube channel : Georgina Okakoso
One of my favorite restaurants. If you’ve been to the branch in VI… you’d appreciate this one for the open space but the I don’t think the pastry section compares as much as that in the VI branch. Valet parking option as usual and the meal as usual… top notch👌🏾
When I first got to Eric K, I was surprised. The exterior was very modern and they even had an outdoor seating area. My jaw dropped when I saw a steep ramp leading to the front door. It was not something I could tackle on my own. So I had to remove one star from my review.I ordered the burger and I was very disappointed. They did not season the meat. It was tasteless. I had to force myself to finish it. Another star gone.I would still recommend this place to anyone who is looking for ambience and a pleasant view.
Awesome place to relax, connect and have fun.
Eric Kayser, easily one of the best places to dine in Lagos. The menu is 5 stars for me and I havent had anything better in a really really long time. So much so, I forgot to take any pictures of my food till it got to desert. Their strawberry ice cream is heavenly....OMG, I have to wait like 3 minutes in-between spoons to take in the taste properly. The ambience is heavenly. The staff are really friendly and witty. Youll feel 100% comfortable in thereIf you havent visited before, you must. Even though its quite pricey, it is worth every single penny.
Amazing place to dine with friends and family, we had tasted Mumbai Pizza was so delicious and we felt like sitting on a terrace garden (as ground floor). It has a spacious hall inside & outside, very neat & clean hospitality, car parking & kids playing area everything is so amazing. Simply you can select your menu on scanning a QR code.
One of the best places to eat ice creams and the pastas over there are very delicious, ambience is also very pretty, surely recommend you to go there
Despite having a full house, the staff here were able to maintain a good level of attention to my needs.
Continental cuisine with excellent food and service. A very nice place for brunch or dinner, high class layout to make you feel at home.
Nice scenery, very busy place, wait time for food on weekends is long, the tiger prawns are delicious.
Wonderful and open with great service. Food was really good.
Its a lovely spot honestly, but sometimes you might get stuck with a newbie and they are not quick and reliable
Very nice scenery. However the presentation and taste of the food wasnt the best.
Food was really good, customer service needs a little more work.
Had lunch with my friend today. Everything I ate was delicious. Fresh produce, the cheese croissant, bread basket, salmon salad, it was just perfect. The dessert was another array of several options to choose from. We were blown away. The location is great, it was packed and we had fun catching up. Service was quick and the team of waiters stood out. Valet parking available and will definitely go back there.
Nice ambience. I enjoyed my ice creme desert
Its a cosy place to be. Extremely friendly staff and their menu caters to all.
Located at 864, Bishop Aboyade Cole Street Victoria Island Lagos, is an epitome of class. This is one of my fav place,I was amazed at how the interior looked. Although, there were more white people and it felt like we were abroad they have a kids area upstairs. The whole place is so neat and if your looking for a peng picture this is the place to head to and of course buy stuff while you are at it (snapping)
Beautiful on the inside and out, literally but thats where it ends. The Gelato is definitely nothing like Gelato. A lot of ice in it. Good thing is its not expensive. Cakes are really dry, not worth buying. I didnt get to try their food or drinks because the waiters kept attending to empty tables and setting it up rather than attend to the 4 man table with actual customers. It looked like performance arts to me.
Nice open and cozy place to spend good time with family and friends. Fantastic ambience, good staff but limited menu as compared with VI Eric Kaiser
Very fancy restaurant with a wide range of dishes, very pretty place to take pictures, chill and catch vibes. Visit this place at all costs. Youll not regret it
Perfect lounge for relaxation and for business, clean and elegant. Customer service is top notch.
Loved the meals and croissants. Only thing would be if coffee and/or juice came alongside english breakfast and not have to buy that separately.
I made a quick stop here for some croissants and Ice-cream.It is located on the same premises as Alliance Française on Osborne... The guards on duty were kind enough to let me park within (maybe because it is a Sunday and not as busy?) but informed me that I would need to use their car park on the next street for a subsequent visit. Hard pass for me. Im definitely not walking back and would rather visit somewhere else.Quite spacious with an outdoor sitting area. They dont have as many options as their VI establishment as per ice cream but still cool. Same menu options for food..I still love Eric Kayser but will visit their VI place next time.
Nice, peaceful nice staff and lovely taste
Very nice cafe reminiscent of Paris. The service was impeccable was well and the menu had a variety of options. The only down side was that there was a fly that was also interested in my panini and it ruined the experience for me
Love the scenery and environment. The service and food are top notch, especially the pasteries
They serve the best pizza (I’ve had) in Lagos; they are definitely not shy with the cheese and it just makes it all the more delicious. I cannot wait to go back and try other things.... oh btw, for a restaurant in the heart of VI, the prices are super reasonable 🤗Ambience is amazing, easy to imagine you’re in a different city outside naija.
Best Ice cream ever!Good portion and Great service ❤️❤️❤️
Clean, focused customer service. Cafe is nicely setup if you want to work or have a meeting OR just a lovely meal with family and friends...
Lovely place with the best pastries. Will definitely be visiting again.
I absolutely love this place. Valet parking. Courteous staff. The ambience is great, really looked like a café in Paris once inside. The food was great, a tad pricey, but very good. Will definitely return
Nice place met up with a friend for a business meeting there.
Excellent meals and the service was great and fast
A little piece of heaven in Lagos... Service is always top notch and the food is delicious...
Great place to enjoy pastries and cool off to some icecream. From the entrance of this beautifully designed space to the courteous staff and spicey delicacies, about everything here will make you want to come back for more.Looking forward to more pleasurable moments here.Kudos to the managment.
Didnt quite enjoy the English breakfast however the chai latte was amazing. Lovely ambience and relatively affordable.
High quality stuff, reasonably priced
Vraiment, un peu de Paris à Lagos.Truly, Éric Kayser (EK) brings the Paris café vibes down to Lagos, Ikoyi.Heads up: As of when I visited, EK operated a drop off method. This means you wont be able to park inside the building.EK is beautiful and well decorated, there is indoor and outdoor dining. The customer service, the meals and ooouu the ice cream (personally would pick theirs over Cold stone) are well portioned and affordable.Im a french couture enthusiast, so make sure you get their baguettes- all kinds and sizes :)
If Im going to do Eric Kayser then it has to be Victoria Island. Ikoyi ambience is meh and service a little slow. Food was really good, so alls well that ends well I guess.
Good food. But quite disappointed with the service today. Asked for butter and the senior staff there were behaving like i was asking for a favour!A real turn off!
Nice cozy spot for breakfast /brunch. Service was fast. There is a free parking lot near the building.
I love Eric Keyser’s Ikoyi location. There’s a ton of natural light and there’s more space to settle in and enjoy your meal.
Fantastic experience.Meals brought on time.Drinks 👌👌Beautiful ambience
Lovely ambience. Fantastic choice of breads for the pre - meal. Servings are large. And the staff are very professional
The map started rerouting me immediately I got to the traffic light before Abacha estate. Its suppose to be a U- turn
Nice ambience. Difficult to locate the place without the help of Google. Good Hospitality. Huge space. Good French taste.
Exquisitely designed (seating space and arrangement). Snacks + pastries wont disappoint you
Best thing since fried rice.
Ambience great but service is so so.
Nice ambience. Best pastries ever
Breakfast was good here.
Had no idea that every time I drove past the Mike Adenuga Centre (Alliance Francaise), I was driving past the Maison Eric Kayseri, Ikoyi.I have been to the one at Victoria Island and I enjoyed it there, mostly the ambience. The Ikoyi branch did not disappoint either, still maintains the same high standards. The ambience is laid back but not enough not to lose its touch of exquisiteness. Same menu and same great service. I didnt come in to dine this time but to pick up some pastries and ice cream. Will be back soon enough for a proper meal. Definitely recommend!
Lovely environment. Good food and ice cream
Good selection freshly baked pastries. The food is decent but I think their strength is in baked goods.
Amazing Ambience. Chef Mustafa made us a special dish. Mad Italian risotto😍😍😍😍 Loved it! The burger was not impressive tho 😣
Cool venue for breakfast and lunch but snack are expensive
We were attended to so nicely. The food was good and the ambiance is incredibly great!
Food was okay. A but pricey. Gelato was nice and affordable
Excellent restaurant still with a bistro feel. They serve a mix of French and Lebanese cuisine with some American burgers tossed in. They obviously are aiming to cover a large segment of the upscale dining market. The food is excellent for me but for most local palettes might be a bit bland.I loved the pastries. The croissants are the best I’ve had (and I lived in Paris) and the baguettes are nice. Everyone loved the ice cream but for me, the americano (coffee) is to die for.Now the service could be better but you see the manager walking the floor and pushing everyone of the staff to pick it up so I don’t dock points because of him. If he keeps it up, the service will surely improve. It’s new in Lagos so expect a rush especially at turnover times (breakfast to lunch or lunch to dinner). If you have a large party, please make a reservation or else, seating you is a HUGE challenge. Otherwise, just walk in.Upscale joint so upscale prices. My new favorite place in Lagos.
Great place, tasty food, excellent service
As a regular customer of this boulangerie, its fair to say their food taste nice but i notice theres a level of discrimination at their branch at ikoyi at the mike adenuga centre. You can not park in the building and this is not the case of limited amount of space but you are judged based on the type of car you drive to determine if you can park in the building. The worst is where you are told to park is quite a distance from the restaurant and you have to walk in sweating because you are trying to have a meal. I do not think it is fair on customers . The security at the gates would simply tell you it is their rule, but protocols would be broken simply because youre driving a nice car. If you are lucky, you would get a valet park your car but sometimes these guys are ignorant at the gate . A very honest review.
Nice ambience and good food...
Nice restaurant and bakery to visit
Nice location, nice ambience, food is good. Shame my wife couldn’t feed and change the baby as the baby changing room is occupied by staff.
Beautiful place...
Very good place to eat snacks and have good time.
Great ambiance with very courteous and helpful staff. Always a good experience dining here.
Excellent place for Breakfast. Very lovely ambience. Totally recommend.
Nice place but I had a better experience at the Victoria Island outlet
Good but hot no aircondition
Authentic French Baguettes and Pastries for Lagos. Great Breakfast/Brunch Too! Love Love Love!!!
Good place for hang out
