This roundabout is 20m away from sabo police station. Unfortunately, the commercial bus and tricycles operators along with traders make a big mess of this place. The traffic light is not function and the traffic police take position at wish.Sabo roundabout is iconic to yaba neighbourhood , it leads to prestigious commercial Avenue where you line ozone cinema.I hope both yaba local government and Lagos state will restore the missing hope.
Public area. Available market for getting foodstuffs particularly. Buses available to varying places. Link to Lagos Island. Several corporate spaces around the area.
Location is quite central and has proximity to a number of places; the likes of the Ozone e-centre, Dominos, CIBN learning center, white house (if you like local foods), Chinese restaurant and a couple of banks. It also has a mini park where you can easily access buses to a variety of destinations; Oshodi, Ikeja and the likes. Traffic is often coordinated by some FRSC/LASTMA officials during work and busy hours and the environment is not usually as busy and crazy as other popular bus stops like Oshodi, mushin et.c
A very cool and busy area cos of traffic lights
The roundabout is located on Commercial Avenue by the right after the pedestrian bridge coming from Yaba which leads to Murtala Muhammed Way and has a school, banks, filling stations and other buildings surrounding it. Its by Sabo bustop and has traffic officers and policemen controlling the heavy traffic usually caused by commercial buses and tricycles at the place.
Anything u want to buy is available at good rate. The linking roads are well constructed and smooth.
Peaceful and busy; unfortunately 😪 🙃 people are not using their masks because they believe that government is only framing a second wave of Covid-19 in the country
Its really confusing when crossing so beware
The area was serene as traffic was lighter than it usually is. Its this way each December.
It still holds some beautiful pieces of former Lagos ( when the white men came)...a place for a booming business
It was ok though I passed there during low traffic period. There were traffic police and LASTMA present.
Its a small place that caters for a lot of vendors. And easy drive-through to buy basic food stuff and other basic household needs.
The police in that area are extorts, they prey on any vehicle they are able to stop
Its a popular street in the commercial nerve of yaba. Easy to access other parts of the mainland as well as connect to the island
The commercial hub of mainland hangout. Here, you get a taste of many options such as ozone cinemas, roadside peppersoup, amala joint etc.
Nice place and stragecally located.Heavy security presence, very close to e- center And ozone Cinema
An industrial environment with good roads and well planned city infrastructure.
The traffic control lights are always active which makes it easy for pedestrian crossing and regulates traffic as much as possible.
Its a very busy area, nonetheless beautifully adorned with decorations. Also the traffic light works perfectly well and is adhered to by road users
Theres traffic light to direct and control traffic. Theres also a police station at the junction, with personnel on duty at every point in time, so youd better obey the traffic signs. You cant escape, theyre very alert and smart!
The central part of Yaba, should one wants to buy grains/food stuff, Yaba market is located adjacent to it, should one is on transit in the car and may need to top fuel; a Gas station is located there with ease of access. Slots.ng a shop where phones of different products at low price is also located there. Not more than 350 kilometers away from the roundabout behind Yaba market is the famous Queens college where Queens are made
Its too congested
The picture here is not Sabo Yaba.
Its a bubbling place with lots of people there and the traffic is effectively handled by the police officers stationed there.
Very nice place, the serenity is also pleasant
This place, inspite of the traffic warden present is always a terrible drive through. The danfos and other commercial transportation make it difficult to navigate seemlessly
Sabo-Yaba roundabout is hub to a number of places. Primarily, It leads to Iwaya, Makoko, Oyadiran Estate, Karimu Williams, Sabo market etc. On the other side of the road, it leads to E-Centre, Custodian Tower, Whitehouse etc.You can get busses going to the following places: Yaba, Fola-Agoro, Shomolu, Ketu-Mile12, Ojota, Maryland, Ikeja etc. Also, you can get Keke Marwa to Mushin and Yaba from here. The streets that branche off the roundabout is called Commercial avenue on both sides, and it never sleeps as it hosts barbecue joints, hotels, bars and lot more form of entertainment.Accessibility to ghe island, less than 20mons drive from VI without serious traffic jam, other wise within an hour for regular traffic.
The roundabout is good but crossing it , it away take time pedestrian are the causes of the traffic instead of going on pedestrian bridge they left the bridge empty and start causing traffic by forcing cars to stop inorder to them why the traffic is green which is very annoying
There is nothing special about this roundabout.Except for easy description and identification. It is the same roundabout that has the post office.Unfortunately, many people arent event are that there is spot office there.Perhaps, the tech world of mobile phones and all other tech devices is replacing the need for postal service. The roundabout is just there, has a filling station there and you can use it as a mark point to tell somewhere where you are.
It is a very organized road, with good interchange and functioning traffic light
Its Sabo roundabout. Not changed in over 30 years. Still chaotic as usual. Well, guess that what makes it.
Peaceful environment. With nice recreation center.
Its makes it very easy to navigate you way.
Its has a serene atmosphere and the environment are so cool
It is a roundabout, you can get a lot of buses there and Sabo market is just around the corner. Theres traffic lights and officers there to control traffic and help with pedestrian crossing so its relatively safe in that regard. I have also never been robbed there.
Road officers always there to maintain easy going of the cars
The roads are good and easy to cross due to the traffic light
Its a good link for Obalende busses to the island. Youll always find uniformed men there working. But if you want to cross the road, oga you are on your own o the motorists dont obeh the zebra crossing.
Its a four corner roundabout and its very busyYoud have to be careful there
Technically, this is not a roundabout but an intersection. This intersection is of, Herbert Macaulay, Commercial Avenue, Sabo, etc. Its also home to the Sabo Police Station, Union Bank, Sabo Market & the Sabo Post office.
Full business activities around here... Love this place..
Two banks and a filling station. Busses to almost everywhere in Lagos. Pedestrian bridge
Not friendly to pedestrians who are blind, with other disabilities or elderly.
I think it is at this junction in Yaba you can get the most vehicles going to various places. During the day I can say that it is safe but at night, well, you have to try to stay safe out there just like any other place in Lagos. I’ve noticed a couple of times as well that they organise night market there and you can get almost any kind of foodstuff you want.
Just another peaceful hub with both a general and road side market. There are also bus parks for different locations like Ikeja, Yaba, Ojota, Ketu, Obalende, Oyinbo, Oshodi, Mushin e.t.c. Also, there are banks like Union bank, Eco bank, Unity bank, First bank, atm points, a filling station, police station. What more can I say?
It gives you the feel of the typical Lagos Mainland atmosphere 🙂
Good place with well controlled traffic
It is a central hub through which one can easily access the Island and other places in the Mainland.
Well organized intersection point with good traffic control
It houses the statue of a prominent important personality, Herbert Macaulay who translated the English Bible into Yoruba language. The Roundabout is an ever busy place. It is also a motor park to access other communities nearby.
Its a great place to shop for local things
I will place is as one if the most busiest nodes in Lagos state which is strategic i n that it receives traffic coming from Third mainland bridge via Adekunle and supplies the ikorodu road too. Take note it has a two way lane by the left while approaching Jibowu and just one way by the right. Very tricky road.
Few Meters away from Ozone Cinema, Niger Palace Hotel and other Cool Places. Lovely Area to have Fun
Mildly congested. Good road around the region.
At least Police didnt harass us
Crowdy place which is expected because its close to a market.
Historic bus stop at the heart of Yaba leading to Commercial Avenue, Industrial Avenue, Alagomeji, Agnes bus stop and Jibowu further down the road.
You have to be extra careful here, especially if you want to turn, you have to ensure u pass through the service lane, then go round the round about and turn, else u might be arrested here, so exercise caution
Good Inter-change,
When approaching Sabo during the week, always keep an eye on the crossing children. Yaba has got a huge concentration of schools and youd notice this during the morning rush hour and from 2:00PM. You should also take note of the traffic light and possible traffic wardens. If you goof here, the guys from Sabo police stations would definitely give you an interesting experience. Sabo is basically the centre of Yaba. Within one kilometre radius, weve got Ecentre (ozone cinema), Domino pizza, Dodo Pizza, Rowe Park (not sure if this falls in the stated radius and then Tejuosho market. This place feels like a convergence point for everything Yaba. Warning though, traffic here could be tricky. Check your map before approaching this area, especially from 5:00PM.
As one of the citys busiest hubs, Sabo is a metropolitan wonder. Albeit it is not without its quirks as is reminiscent of disorganized Lagos.
This is a chaotic place from which you can access buses to almost every part of Lagos, please keep your eyes open and your possessions close to you as there are some elements that can take advantage of the chaos to perform petty theft. Also watch out for the policemen walking round
This intersection leads to ikeja, yaba and can go as far as iyana paja
Traffic light really works thus helping pedestrians cross safely. Neat road.
Busy place, constant traffic. The road official try their best to keep things in order
Smooth ride
Looks beautiful but always moving traffic
Nice area for shopping. Not so neat neither is it messy
Uts organised
Not much of a sight. Just a traffic road
The traffic around here is terrific
A common place to locate and meet up in the heart of the Lagos mainland with several banks in the environment and a very handy market with food stuffs and materials being sold. Always traffic bound due to tge popularity and the traffic light.
Very busy. I love how you can take a bus to a number of places here. Also O-pays are around lol
More organized than before.
The traffic well managed by the officers.
Relatively fair traffic to the third mainland bridge
Nice intersection. Looks like part of a wester worlds city.
The place is beautiful at night
Because is very peaceful
Very busy juction, Could do with consistent police/traffic warden presence for effective traffic control. It will be helpful if a better traffic light is fitted.
It has a beautiful statue
Market place for food stuff and clothing. Some banks (first bank, union bank, fidelity bank) are close by for easy access to cash. Slot phones also has a branch nearby incase you want to buy a phone. Needs more organisation for the transporters.
Clean n well organized place
Friendly environment, best foot clothing
It is a busy area with so many business ventures.
Always busy. Even at 1am in the morning you can still get a cab here. there is a police station here, hence the area is quite safe and the petrol station works even very late
The round about is always busy. Slot is located at the round about with Aje comprehensive high school
Not too much to say about it though but the traffic is more organized and properly coordinated
Still clumsy as a result of yellow buses
Nice place to be.The traffic could be better though as the place can be rather rowdy at times.
Very important road net network but lacks pedestrian bridge for movement safety.
Sabo police station beside Mobil filling station is blocked by police
