Correctly under going renovation, should be open by December. Simple lovely space. Gorgeous environment by the water side.
Omenka Gallery is a privately held Art Gallery carefully tucked within the serene Ikoyi atmosphere. It has an exquisite display of contemporary art styles housed under a cool and spacious lounge. It has an outdoor garden - BC gardens, within the same compound.Want a cool place to refresh and recollect over the weekend? This might be the perfect getaway. It is also ideal for kids.
Omenka Art Gallery: an art gallery located in Ikoyi Crescent also close to the American Consulate. It has a serene environment;behind the Art Gallery is the BC Gardens(part of the art Gallery) BC Gardens has a wonderful Horizon with heartwarming ocean view that brings you close to nature.Cool breeze from the ocean. You can sight Ocean Parade Towers in Banana Island from the BC Gardens.Outstanding artworks and artefacts at the Gallery.
When you walk into Omenka Gallery, youd first love to take photographs if you are like me! I was enchanted by the greenery and flowers that surround the facility. If you are an art lover who loves gallery visits, yes, you will find the usual exhibition space with beautiful pieces arranged on the walls and sculptures posing at different corners etc. But here, theres a bit of a difference which comes from the surroundings. Youll find a bar space at the main entrance as well as a cosy seat out by the seaside. The staff are very courteous and responsive. And their pepper goat meat was absolutely yummy!!! Lol. This place is quiet and classy for all I care. Just an entirely different kind of destination to seat out and have drinks or even a kind of quiet time earlier in the day.
Omenka represents a fine selection of established and emerging contemporary African and international artists working in diverse media. Omenka Gallery also organizes several workshops and residencies to encourage curatorial and professional artistic development. The studio itself looks like an artwork; beautifully laid out, extremely neat, great lighting effects and wonderful usher to show you around.

If you love Art and love to view them in the most serene place in Lagos, Omenka is the place. Its location at the bank of the Lagos Lagoon sold me! Its almost hidden, and you might have a difficult time locating it, but I promise you. Itd be worth your time. They also sell food and drinks, just in case you need to munch on something.P.S: you might get a peep of some of Ben Enwonwus memorabilia, like his National Honors medal amongst other stuff. 😉
Great place to experience Contemporary art, a decent café plus bar and a serene horticultural garden facing the lagoon.
Great place with beautiful art work
I would say this gallery is slightly below average, theres only one room of sparse art, which was quite disappoining. But they have a beautiful view of a water body. Lovely for a quiet date.
Lovely artwork. A safe place
Very nice Art Gallery with very well chosen exhibitions. And the food, Nigerian is amazing. And generous servings. But be patient. It takes time as everything is freshly cooked. There is a lovely garden overlooking the lagoon to wait.
This is a very peaceful and beautiful place surrounded by beautiful flowers. Art work is amazing. We also met with Mr.Age the artist. He explained his paintings very nicely. You can also enjoy food and drinks here . Perfect place for click memorable photos . Staff is well behaved and freindly. Rest Rooms are neat and clean. I love this place .
This is a contemporary Nigerian art gallery owned by Oliver Enwowu, son of one of Nigeria’s leading 21st-century artists, Ben Enwowu. The gallery showcases the works of established and contemporary upcoming Nigerians as well as international artists. Right outside the gallery is a chilled and quiet waterside hangout spot where you can sit and relax, free from the worries of the world
Lovely ambiance
Fascinating art works... they also have a restaurant. You would enjoy the food and quiet. Private place, cool music and you have to call to place an order before you arrive. Has car park space outside. Although not so big but can accommodate.
It is so beautiful with a nice view of the lagoon and beautiful scenery and trees.Such beautiful art work too.
Nice gallery with a flower garden overlooking the Lagos Lagoon. We meet young artist learning and practicing inside and outside the gallery.Omenka gallery has a collection of artworks but photographs were not allowed.Theres a restaurant and cafe within the garden. Foods are cooked fresh. You can have coffee, tea, soft drinks and healthy meals here but its expensive.♿ Its an old facility but not accessible by wheelchair users. This could be reviewed by providing movable ramps.
A pretty cool gallery/restaurant hybrid with a garden dining area that I absolutely loved. The food is delicious and the servings are large! I visited with a big group and the staff remained courteous even though we could tell they were overwhelmed.Scenic ✔Tranquil ✔Great dining ✔Whats not to love
Interesting gallery, fine works of art with a good garden and ocean view
Acoustic hall containing a lot of African inspired art, great environment, pretty humid thanks to the water body around it, great ambience too and a place to relax and have a drink. You might experience difficulty with network provided services; not so many art works on display.
Omenka gallery is located in the heart of ikoyi with fairly good road. the place is a garden style afrocentric sea bordering art gallery with kitchen and bar. it has a beautiful view of nature including the lagoon and natural vegetation. the gallery has beautiful sculptures and art works. You are allowed to freely enter and look but there is a no camera policy inside the gallery. There is enough parking lot, but unfortunately there is no wheelchair accessibility at this time
It is a simple but beautiful place. The serenity of the surrounding is great. A very good place to relax and forget your sorrows lowkey.
This gallery is located in a serene environment - it gives off a secret garden kind of vibe with the greenery adding to the effect. It lies coyly between a somewhat exclusive restaurant and the ocean. The pieces on display had soul and depth. It has a neat toilet and boast of courteous staff.
Terrible gallery. Poor lighting to take good pictures. Air conditioning was poor too.

Simple layout inside the gallery. Very accessible street only if its not your first time. Chill out garden spot overlooking the Lagos lagoon.
Regular exhibits in a clean-lines, modern space that lets you focus on the art. The attached outdoor B & C Garden Restaurant has the tastiest Nigerian and continental dishes Ive had in Lagos restaurants in huge portions at great prices (and the best reusable takeaway packs youll find in the city)--in a beautiful garden right on the waterfront. Concerts/live music too from time to time.
Very nice and beautiful artworks theyve got there
It was an Okay experience. Art lovers should have a nice time. The outside scenery though is quite lovely
A Great place for Art enthusiasts, However the outer environment needs to be kept well,Flowers trimmed,Proper Sign for direction.Accessibilty for Wheelchairs none, that can be worked on.
I love love Omenka Gallery. Been there like 4 to 5 times now. I saw some beautiful artworks there and beyond that also enjoyed a water side ambience with food and drinks. I call it my #codedplace. 😁
A place Ill like to visit occasionally, loved the view
So much plant species in so litle space. Its a good spot if you love plants. There are lots of it. Good dinning in the botanical garden. Warning! One person can not finish a bowl of soup at Omenka, it is suitable for 3 persons or more. Call at least 30mins before you arrive to order for your food. Food are cooked just for you. Oh, i forgot, they have a small but beautiful private art gallery. Yes. Entry is free. Enjoy!
Serene spot to relax and view a wide collection of awesome art.
A collection of nice piece of artwork in one place.
Serene atmosphere, enjoy outdoor dining in the lovely garden and lots of fine art!
The 1 star rating is for the outdoor scenery. Its cosy and private. The place is really small and hard to find if its your first time. It is literally behind someones house. Plus when I got there, there was no electricity and the attendant said the generator would come on in the evening (I assume its when the owner of the house gets back). The gallery was really dark due to this,so I went back.
A place where painting and other beautiful pieces of art are showcased to the public. Had a wonderful time there
Lovely art space and amazing waterside restaurant.
Need more impressive works there.
Amazing gallery and mini event space
Awesome Experience
Great Nigerian food especially the soups, nice natural ambience with lots of greenery and a fairly nice view of the ocean. Please order ahead!

Its an art space. You need to see for youself
Nice fresh home-made food and drinks
Beautiful art gallery and food is good
Get a touch of nature while u relax
Exquisite, with a water front relaxation view
The art event was exceptionally uncomfortable. Poor ventilation. No staff tending to the guests. A drink spilled on the ground and for the next 30 minutes it built a pool that spread across the gallery...no clean up. Very disappointing.
The amazing Art and outdoor setting
Best place to be, if u want the perfect food in a quiet environment, its the place to be
Absolutely the art lovers paradise. A must visit.
