Anago is one of the best tour guides Ive ever had. Even before we actually started the tours, the deep and insightful conversations we had in the car ride to the tour destinations about African history and politics, was something Ill never forget. He has a vast wealth of knowledge about west African history and current affairs, and its refreshing to hear African history from that of an African perspective, instead of the lies we are often told by our oppressors. In addition to all of this, hes also like a celebrity in Nigeria, there wasnt a place we went to, were the people there didnt know him, and greet him with laughs, hand shakes and hugs. OUR Brother was the best guide I could have hoped for. I flew from the US...South Florida and drove to Badagry to learn about my Ancestors. He answered EVERY question I had. He made sure my children understood everything we discussed. He treated me like family and he will ALWAYS remain a brother to me. He informed me about events that happened in west Africa. He informed me about events that happened in the US (Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi) that I didnt even know about. I fact checked him too. Lol. It was a great opportunity to taking the Badagry slave tour and it was unforgettable experience that I was introduced to homemade cup made out of coconut shell, saw tombs or picture of slaves master. Cannon humans how they were using it back in the days. A picture of seriki abass who so love woman’s that got married to so many wife’s. We got to the place of no return and thank God we all turn happily, knowing the first Story building in Nigeria, first primary school in Nigeria, and it still well maintain today its also wonderful experience, meeting Mr anago ohso an historian.
