Unilorin mainbow accommodates all kinds of track and field events, ranging from Unilorin league, VCs cup, SUs cup, Jamb Tertiary Institution football competition, Nigeria Youth Games, NUGA, Senior Staff Games, Medical Students Games, to Departments and Faculties games. SWEP league is another the major competition that is played on this pitch.

Seats are very good, the pitch is above average during the rainy season, dry and Harmattan seasons expose the poor maintenance culture of the authorities. It is available for students use throughout the session and good fun can be had here.

The fields grass isnt equal and properly trimmed. Football is hard to play on it. The track isnt level, and so when rain falls, there are large patches of water on the track.

It is well maintained with a section having a covered stand. Undergraduates, secondary and primary school students also use the stadium. My first experience here was when the Nigerian University Games (NUGA) were held here. The atmosphere was electric.
