The town (once ancient, I guess by name) Omitoro literally means scarcely flowing water through a narrow path a stream like which events has over taken due to development. One might be wondering where is the stream or the narrow path, in fact, during dry season such dont exist.The valley-like land scape could be of help.during the rainy reasons and with little observation one will noticed where the name originates from.This water flows from the small river that bordered it. The stream navigational path used to be from somewhere on the other side of the road, Ladegboye axis, through boundary which separated Omitoro and Furniture, right from the swamp at Omitoro, down and through to the swamp at end of Biodun Aguda/Palace RoadGoing by pronunciation, the name over time was corrupted from Omitooro (peaceful and clean stream water) to Omitoro, modern day pronunciation, ironically which also befits the both the ancient and the present.Two buildings now stood in what should be or used to be the natural path of the stream.Omitoro is along ijede road, with modern facilities perhaps infrastructure, although, still developing.Major business activities are; Transportation, construction, (chiefly residential) and small scale industries.Recently, relaxation spots are springing up; bars.

The building in view is in Omitoro bustop, along Ijede road, Ikorodu. The building is a commercial one that houses Oladapo Hospital and Save a lot a grocery store. Next to this building is the Nimpco, a filling station

Just a simple upcoming satellite town - best described as a Suburb close to Ikorodu main town.

I love this place because there are affordable apartment here. Always quiet except for the busy road during d day. We have mini markets here instead of going to elepe market.. It is an industrial area basically

Well developed environment with basic landmark like Oladapo Hospital , Petrol station, Savealot Supermarket, first bank of Nigeria and other infrastructure with an upcoming Wiltop Estate

Its a serene community through which the Ijede Road runs.

I am at Ladegboye, very close to Omitoro. Omitoro is just about 5-10 mins treck from Ladegboye.
