So there is a government designated office/centre where public disputes can be resolved amicably. There are several of them in Lagos State. This one is at LJ Dosunmu, Agidingbi, Ikeja. A lot of persons dont know about this. They have skilled mediators that work on public disputes. They also seem to have good track record. According to information available on their website, they received 34, 511 cases in 2015 alone. Out of these, 20, 966 were mediated, 19, 464 disputes resolved, 3, 622 disputes adjourned, and 1, 351 disputes were unresolved. Looks great. Looks like a good place to go for persons who dont have the resources for private legal pursuits. I passed this place for years before I noticed it recently.

Citizen mediation centre was established by Lagos state to mediate on issues bordering on Landlord and Tenants issue,Debt issues and various issues which the citizen might not be buoyant enough to employ a lawyer in order to seek justice from the court of law.The idea behind her establishment is assist all citizen to greeting fair judgment and guide against trampling on the right of the citizens.There are many centres across Lagos state. the mediation centre are well equipped and living up to the expectation of her creation.I will advice tenants,landlords,and individuals with issues that do not worth spending money in getting justice to visit any mediation centre close to them and lodge their complaint. I am sure they would surely get fair justice .
