For me, this is just the best hotel ever, where youll see all the staff United, always smiling and happy ever ready to welcome you. Beautiful and neat rooms, good food, bar etc.... I honestly enjoyed my stay in PURPLE crown and Ill keep on patronizing them.... God bless
A very good choice for locally sourced and prepared soup. Very healthy and tasty. There are so many soups to choose from, theyre filled with chunks of meats, fish, vegetables and more.Trust me, Calabar Kitchen promises yummy flavours that are memorable and clean space to enjoy them.
This restaurant has the best traditional homemade food you can ever taste in Lagos. If you have people visiting from outside Nigeria and want to show off Nigerian meals Definitely bring them here. I highly recommend their Pepper Soup and White Rice.😋 The price is definitely worth it.
The place is cool.. takes so much time to deliver an ordered food though😣.. was so hungry, i had to wait about 40mins BFR food finally came
Very very over priced and food is not worth the price. That name Calabar kitchen is making mockery of the tastey delicious dishes from Cross River and Akwa Ibom states.I will not recommend this place even to my enemy. please dont waste your hard earned money going there. There are better and cheaper places around.
Food was good, polite staff and the temperature in the restaurant was perfect. Had pounded yam with fisherman soup which was about N4,000
Parking space is not sufficient, but Lord!!!! Their food is good!!! Restaurant is neat 😍😍😍
Great hospitality and great food.
Nice place, food is very affordable but was disappointed because of the lack of periwinkle
My go to place for real home made delicacies. Privacy at its peak just incase you want to sit in the open.
Nice place for your African and intercontinental dishes. So hospitable.
This place is not what it used to be. Had pounded yam and white soup. White soup was basically spiced water and a couple of bones
Calabar Kitchen is a lovely place to eat out especially if you care about good food. The food is normally warm, and they have a variety or food types from the Delta and the east. I hardly ever finished their soup in one sitting, so I always took some home. I recommend this place for international guests.
Nice good food. Very tidy
Oh my God, I was blown away with the quality and fantastic taste of the meal. The staff were friendly and made me and my family feel at home.
Too pricey. Wouldnt recommend
Fishermans soup is very nice
Food is excellent. Price on the high side buf food is excellent !!
Fisherman soup was good
Very generous portions!!!!! For authentic eastern food, this us where you want to be.
My experience wasnt pleasant. The fisherman soup I ordered was without basic ingredients such as shrimps, prawns & periwinkle. It was just drab.Cant say of other meals. Not sure I want to try though.
Efik and Ibibio delicacies... I have known about this restaurant for decades..Finally found them again in 2021... Practically enjoying them since January...
When you need to get home made food that is palatable, I surely recommend this place. But you need to give them some minutes to prepare it. Youll always want to go back there.
Love the service and the food is delicious 😍😍
Fisherman soup always on point
Very good place for good quality food
Cooking delicious foods
If you are craving swallow, you could get deliciouspounded yam and egusi right there, all kinds of eastern and southern soup are available. I have never been disappointed
Always sure to have home made dishes fresh on request
I am sure the food would be fantastic, I went there for a meeting ,I had only the palmwine, the staff were super friendly and polite, but the Aroma did not let me concentrate on the meeting, I would definitely be going back for a meal
Had pounded yam and Afang soup with stockfish. Stockfish was partly bad. The Afang could do with less salt. Im quite sensitive to salt though. Overall, the experience was ok.
Why arent more places called Uyo Kitchen? There must be a Calabar kitchen in every local govt area in Lagos! Anyway, this is the one in ikeja. Unless there are others? So. The fishermans soup. It didnt disappoint. It was filling, delivery was timely, and, it was nicely priced. While the environment might leave a lot to be desired, its full marks for the food. Comes highly recommended. At least, the fishermans soup does.
Always a pleasure
Sumptuous local delicacies at moderate prices
Its was lovely
Didnt fancy the food as much
Courteous and helpful staff
It was my first time visiting and some of the ACs were not working. That leaves a somewhat unpleasant impression. Good food though.
The best place for good mealsSince i have been in lagos its only at calabar kitchen that i ate the best meal ever😍😍😍
Terrible. The standard has fallen badly. I couldnt even eat the meal I ordered. I used to enjoy their fisherman soup years ago and havent been there in about three years. Was around the neighbourhood and stopped there to eat same but the soup was miserable.
Poor Customer service , soup was served cold 3 stars.
I had the pepper soup.. I felt ripped offI am give them a 3 star because my friends had other soups, I had a taste and it was good.
Was disappointed....placed an order for a friend who just arrived Nigeria and wanted a taste of home made dish, I asked for fisherman soup and oat meal with croaker fish and goat meat. What I received was totally different vegetable with watery fisherman soup! Really? No periwinkle in it (its the sea food that makes it fishermann)And the meal was 5700naira and a tip of 1000 naira. Feeling so sad.
My first impression on entering the place was that of avoid customer service. The service attendant was came tonus with a welcoming smile and waited for my colleague to provide his orders of meal from the menu.My impression as we were leaving would be a different one and I could not but help yo give the feedback. We waited for more than 30 minutes for the fisherman soup and semo to be ready. My feedback was for them to inform customers of the duration of meals as people may have schedules. I hope they remember that.Another disappointing thing is that that the fisherman soup did not have fresh fish.. it had stock fish. That was disappointed for a malabar kitchen. Even misleading. No enough parking space.I also think menu is uneccessarily pricey.
Great place for Calabar delicacies, home made like
Good food for the big boiz, a plate of swallow from 3k upward. Lol.....
Nice place. Courteous staffs, yummy dishes as well. Quite expensive but worth it..
While the food is always delicious here... The last time I was at this restaurant, my friend found a piece of glass in his food... Definitely not somewhere Ill visit again nor recommend even though I love their cooking because they clearly dont take the health nor safety of their clients seriously
Food too expensive , and dont worth it
Good food. Quiet ambience.
The Isiewu there na Confirm!
Nice people nice meal, I enjoy my breakfast this morning, keep the taste the same
Tho highly over priced dishes, the gang soup tastes so nice.
Out of this world dishes
Nice place to chill after work with friends. The food is nice and delicious. The environment is clean. The customer service is cool and great. Parking space for few cars. Security guys are available. You would enjoy your meal here, sometimes it could be pricey.
It was good enough but the walls still carry sounds
I had Afang and it wasnt as great as I expected, however, the fisherman soup was great
A place where you get quality nigerian dishes at its best...fresh and sizzling...good hospitality. Try for a mouth watering fisherman Soup....
This Kitchen is Top notch, i mean you get value for your money.
Amazing..... try the Fishermans Soup with Okro and thank me later *****
The food was amazing. I dont visit here as often as Id like but when I do I always get what I expect.Anything off the menu is fine but Id recommend the affang soup, white soup or the fisherman soup. The service is on point too.I just wish they would do something about that decor 😅
I loooooooove Calabar Kitchen! The fisherman soup is my favourite. Whenever Im in Nigeria I always wish to go there. It is just great! Great food.
Nice meal
Good place to enjoy meal and meeting
Soups here are really nice and affordableNkwobi’s great too.
The food was over priced even as it was not really nice.
Nice local dishes
Waited a long time before I was served but the quality of the food made up for the time wasted. Food wise, they deliver top notch meals that taste as good as they look.Sitting arrangement is cosy and location is to die for; Its accessible yet ideal for a daily getaway. Top marks.
Authentic calabar dishes...
Alot of songs about people going to Calabar... I think this is where they were talking about! Its not up there in terms of luxury set up., But if you are someone who loves good food then you sure are in the right place.
When looking for good Calabar food and you are around the environment, its a good place to go.
Good food but very expensive tho
Silly place, Too overpriced without quality food. I am from calabar and this is nonsense.
Tastu food
The meal was delicious
If you want good Calabar dishes, please visit Calabar Kitchen, you will thank me for that.
They have a cold palm wine and nice native foods
Average, at the restaurant I went to.
Am epidom of good food
It was a nice place to be. I really enjoyed the continental dishes. It was a kitchen indeed.
Extremely pricey for a small portion of bland tasting food, interior is poorly furnished, shabby, and no cooling system in place. A terrible experience which I will never repeat. Not recommended.
