Cool night club...at least thats what l do there. Assorted drinks, cool music, good food (not too heavy) and you could bump into an old friend easily. The place does not cone alive until about midnight, so if you are a night crawler, why not? Dont know much about what happens during the day.

So after spending a whole day in my hotel room skipping out on breakfast and lunch, I took to Google to find a good place to eat and drink the night away. Picked Crescendo out of the lot because of the reviews, got into a cab got there and my worse experience in any bar began. I have never experienced such horrible service. Waiter gives me the menu I made my pick and told her which drink I wanted to have. She now told me I cant have that drink and sit there. I asked why and she said I need to order a drink like Hennessy to sit there. Now I do drink fine cognac sometimes, but never when I eat a meal. After a calm convo, trying to understand the reason why I cant eat with my choice of drink and move on to the more strong one later. I decided to just take my stomach and money elsewhere. Another lady who came along with me in her wisdom asked I speak to the manager. She came and after I explained our situation, she said Some ladies come and take over the seats and dont buy anything so management made a decision, for a customer to sit on particular seats they must be buying particular types of drinks. Wow I said as she was also a woman. Now I have no problem with whatever rules people make when they use their money to set up a business. However to avoid misunderstandings and causing unnecessary humiliation, embarrassment and having a customer feel discriminated against. Crescendo Bar should put what ever rules they have for us women of color on their official page and right here on Google. I am based in Denmark and have traveled extensively, never have I experienced something like this. I do not recommend this establishment.

Mature crowd trendy people with great music selection either Dj or Live. This bar & lounge is one of the oldest long-running bars in ikeja gra that has manage to mentain its standards better than maybe any other. Great fun guranteed. Havent been there in a long time tho non the less!
