Very nice. For sport and discovery.Place to enjoy with children.But many animals are missing.

The animals there are supposed to be well taken care of since it isnt all that easy to get one but the ones there especially the Lions are being starved

Its a misnomer to call this place a biological garden because few animal life were on display with no plant life on display. Even the animals were few. 3 lions, 1 ostrich, 1 crane bird, handful of monkeys and baboons, 1 snake and 1 hyena that could possibly jump out of where it is kept.There is no guide on duty to take one around, and no map for a personal tour of the place. There are some cages that there are no animals, probably the animals have died and no replacement.Its unfortunate and shameful that OAU that has many professors of zoology and wildlife management cannot manage a so-called Biological garden. The place needs a sound management for a turnaround of the place.My advice to would be visitors: if you have a N200 and time to waste or spare, visit the Zoo, if not, find something better to do.

This place has more potential than is currently exhibited. There were no guides, just arrows to point you in the direction to go. Some of the places housing these animals had no signs so you cant say what animal you are seeing.The zoo had very few animals: 2 or so lions, some monkeys (and another primate of sort may be a baboon, cant remember which it was now), a python, a dwarf crocodile, turtles, pigs, a lonely hyena (I believe) and big birds (a crane and an ostrich).With proper management and renovation it will live up to its potential.

Poor Aesthetic outlook. neat and firm enclosure however most of the enclosures are desolate and empty. Inadequate turnover rates of animals has resulted in few animals of interest.

Interesting place to be

A very thick forest that contains several species of trees. This is also a good place for recreational activities.

This is the only zoo in Ile-Ife. They have a variety of animals which include crocodiles, tortoises, baboons, monkeys and so on.They open every day of the year including during public holidays.
