There are nice and well behaved people at the counter to attend to you, things are not that expensive and theyve got almost all books needed by students in each department. Also the place is neat and beautiful

I went in to look for books on Drama and theatre and good a good number of them and also Childrens toys that lit up my sons weekends.

Well stocked, theres hardly any book you wont find there, and the books are so much affordable.

I have only bought stationaries here and I know it has lots of good book I would love to buy if I had the money. One more thing is that you get receipt for anything you buy even if it is a pen

He O.A.U. Bookshop commenced trading in 1964, two years after the founding of the University. In 1971 it was established as an independent limited liability company governed by a Board of Directors nominated by the University Council. The Bookshop maintains branches at Ondo, Uyo, and at the main campus of Ile-Ife where in addition to the main shop, a kiosk is maintained at the Staff Club. The administrative headquarters moved from Ibadan to Ife in February 1974 to its permanent home in University Hall where it occupies two floors – or an area of some 92 square metres, with extra space for exhibition facilities.All the bookshop’s branches carry extensive stocks of academic and textbooks, as well as general books including various books on Art and Crafts, Cookery and Home Economics, Children’s books and a wide variety of paperbooks. It maintains particularly comprehensive stocks in the areas of Africana, Nigerian, and African creative writing in English and French as one of its areas of specialization. It carries the largest stock of children’s books in the country. It also has the largest collection of books on Art. It maintains an impressive stock of books on management studies.
