This is one of the best market for farm products especially pepper, tomatoes etc in terms of price, freshness and availability of varieties in Oyo state. If have any owambe coming up, you should think of Shasha market. This is not a market for small portion but large and bulk. You should try the market.

This is a farmers market where you can buy all your groceries very cheap in Ibadan. It is very cheap but at the same time, the goods are very fresh and sweet. If you go early in the morning, you will be able to buy from the farmers direct. But if you go later, you can be buying from the market women.

This particular shasha market is located at the motor garage close to ihejirika garden and Adekunle Fajuyi cantonment entrance, it also opposite the ojoo maternity and health center, hence the need to rename this particular location

Shasha market is located besides the road along Moniya. Is a market where you can buy very cheap food stuffs like tomatoes, peppers, onions, rice, beans, yam, goats, Ram, cow, garri and a whole lot of food items you may think of. They sell both in wholesale and retail prices. It has a wheelchair accessible entrance and a wheelchair accessible parking. Itll take about 10 minutes you get there from University of Ibadan in a public car and it is not walkable due to the distance. Though, cars will convey you there for 50-70 Naira from University of Ibadan. They also sell chickens both local and Agric breed chicken. They can prepare it for you for one thousand naira (#1000) if you do wish and if you dont, you can buy the chicken then go home and prepare it yourself.
