I am a parent at this wonderful school and I can not be happier. I like the school because they focus on reading and understanding. In Nigeria we tend to forget how important reading is, instead Nigerian schools focus on cramming numbers and letters. Reading is the foundation. It is critical to your child doing well in other subjects. My 6 yrs old child could not read before enrolling at the school, after 2 terms at the school, she can now read fluently, and she enjoys reading. My child loves school so much now that when she was ill, she still did not want to miss school, this is in contrast to when she was in her previous school. I have tried both Nigerian and British education systems and I can categorically say that British system of Education is superior, at least from my pleasant experience at this school. In my opinion the school is worth it. I have no regrets.

I dont really write reviews, but as a parent, I feel the need to help other parents to know the right school take their children. BPS is a school like no other in everything, I never regretted bring my child to this British school in Oluyole, I drop my child off in school in the morning and my mind is at peace, I feel the school is like an extension of my house, because my child is well looked after, she learns what she should when she should, they teach each child according to their abilities, the staffs love every child like theirs, my child is progressing in education, sports and social interactions with people in a manner I never know possible.Thank you so very much to BPS, from a Happy Parent.

In 2017, I and my wife noticed this beautiful school as we were driving through Oluyole and we went in to enquire about what it would take for us to bring our lovely son to this beautiful school and we were so impressed by what we saw in terms of facilities and the quality of teaching was very impressive, the environment is so clean, I have never seen a school so clean, everything is state of the art, we are so proud to enrol our son in this school.

British Preparatory School Oluyole Ibadan, as the name implies would naturally strike one as a “must-go” school, where parents can happily enroll their children in with peace of mind and satisfaction. However, total opposite was our experience just in the space of six days.......Having searched quite a number of places to enroll our precious child in, I was attracted by the superficial serenity and ambience of the school, expecting nothing less than the best and excellence on some fronts, if not all fronts .....On the 3rd/4th day or thereabout, the minders at the Crèche section encouraged to try different diets for our child (which was a good one); I was somewhat reluctant but gave in after some adjustments. On the 29th of November (his sixth day at BRITISH PREPARATORY SCHOOL IBADAN),a new diet was packed for feeding. At about noon, it occurred to me to check up with the feeding and the new diet and that’s was the beginning of our dilemma with the BRITISH school.I called both numbers given to us at the point of enrollment but the response was a busy tone/disengaging tone; the calls never went through. Agitated, however, decided to wait till pickup time. On getting to the school, the proprietress(a lady), admin officer(a young guy- Abraham, and others were in the school compound, walked up to her to feed her back on the inability to reach the school, and the following were her/their reactions and my observations:o She had this disdainful at first pointo On stating concerns with not being able to reach the school {as it wasn’t the first time one would call and get that disengaging tone}, she saw no wrong in not being able to reach the school, consequentially, no apologies neither did she feel Sorry.o She walked a little further from me and reluctantly asked the admin officer why the numbers were unreachable and he answered – the phones were not charged!o With the same standoffish and disregarding attitude {which I initially wasn’t bothered about}, she gave me another number to try whilst I reiterated my worries with not reaching the school where my ward was enrolled ino As I was dialing the number to confirm its realism, she walked off me to begin a discussion with another parent{whom we arrived at the school together}. I obviously couldn’t approach her at this point as she had commenced a discussion with someone else. {Highlighted portion is included because they claim she was discussing with the parent way earlier before I interrupted the discussion}o I walked into the crèche upset to pick my ward, returned outside and stated my displeasure at her unapologetic attitude and disregard – obviously upset.o Consequently, our son no longer attends the schoolo As I state this review, there hasn’t been one phone call from the school to inquire why they haven’t seen our son at school!o I visited the school two weeks after this incidence and they gave orders to disallow our entry into the school compoundo The visit was to pick up documents submitted as we already envisaged amount paid will not be prorated/refunded, still, they exhibited falsehood and said they couldn’t access the documents which they later availed us after due insistence.….and I really wonder, if the proprietress and her team could display such mannerism/behavioral pattern, what is being instilled into these precious and innocent souls enrolled British Preparatory School?
