Very bad at the back of my room is the toilet pity, that have filled up and it is broken smiling morning day and night. Some of the rooms you will not see windows example mine I have to put it myself after my phone was stolen through the window ( window men). But we enjoys light.

Kenneth Dike is a beehive of activities in UNEC, just like Lagos of Nigeria.

Its a scanty area which shouldnt be habitable by human beings. Very dirty and highly infectious. The structures are delapitated with dirty edge walls. Gulters here are really terrible.

Kenneth Dike Hostel, popularly known as IJ, is one of the three biggest hostel in UNEC. This is my second year am living in this hostel. Being considered one of the biggest, therefore it can contain a large number of person. Due to high demand of accommodation on campus,with limited space,there is high pressure on the available resources in the hostel, leading to deterioration of the hostel and leading to slump if care is not appropriately taken.

Its an experience....familiarly called IJ, if you can survive IJ, you can live anywhere in the world

This is IJ, Kenneth-Dike Hostel, it is the bomb. It is the place. We love it. A second home in school. If you survive IJ, you can survive anything in the world. We are family, we are brothers, we are one. UNEC!!!!

This has been reduced to a squatter settlement and the amenities in here has been overrun by the exceeding population it holds

The hostel is horrible and not good for habitation. The school authorities should renovate every section of the hostel; windows, doors, toilets, electrical appliances and repaint the walls. The hostel is totally deteriorated.
