The rooms are good and the environment is clean, but there is room for improvement.

So I lodged a night in the governors Lodge and below is my honest reviewLocation and security: the hotel is in a government reserved/residential area in Bauchi, so one could say it is a bit secured. There is always a security guy stationed at the post, but at the same time, I feel it could still be improved. So I will give location and security 4/5.Reception: Not good! I think the only time I really had the receptionist in position was when I arrived. It is always hard to see someone at the reception. That is not a good one, since anyone can just easily creep into the hotel that way. Asides that, the room I stayed had no intercom, so despite the fact that I had to walk to the reception to try to get something, I still usually end up not seeing someone. I would give this 1/5Amenities: No Internet, no lobby sitting except for a small long chair at the reception, no gift shop or supermarket within the hotel unless you have to go outside the hotel which is quite a distance, there is restaurant and bar, there is TV in the room but not much station, I wasnt able to check if there is a fitness centre but I doubt. AC in the room worked well. Rating: 2/5Rooms, Cleanliness and maintenance: The hotel environment is a bit clean, but then room is a no for me. Quite dusty though I understand it is harmattan but not much of an excuse, but you could see the floor not well cleaned or cleaned with a dirty water; I doubt if the bedsheet was changed as I could smell cigarette and someone elses perfume on it, the towels - no way! The rooms are a bit spacious and it looks nice in view, but that is all. The toilets are manageable and not bad. The waters from the shower had good pressure but bad drainage flow, asides that, no other plumbing issue. It is a queen size bed. Rating: 3/5Other stuff: Please, do not expect a complimentary breakfast. There was a big bang of music till late in the midnight and couldnt sleep. I guess someone was happy celebrating his/her birthday, happy for them but not happy it took part of my sleep. The rooms are all downstairs, more like block of flats. I would rate my convenience here as 2/5.I would have expected more for the hotel room price but it is what it is. For the benefit of doubt that the rooms I stayed was the only one with the issue, I would add a buffer rating as 4/5Average rating: 2.7

It was formally known as pali suite, but the new name is not yet popularly known. It is a nice place with wonderful accomodation and affordable prices.

Great place

This may not be the best in Bauchi because its a little bit inside and the kitchen has just rice, stew and chicken most of the time, but I love the serene environment, in addition to that, the setting feels like home. Ill always use this place when Im in Bauchi.

The facility and services in the hotel need immediate upgrading. Poor management is visible.

We stayed two nights and did not enjoy it. They Kept us waiting outside for 1hour before the room keys where brought on arrival. Unreasonably expensive room compared to the service. 10k room, hot water and fridge not working. The inside environment is not bad but poor management is the issue
