New hostel is a female hostel situated inside Inikpi hostel in Kogi state university. It contains 6 students in a bunk. It is neater and cleaner than Inikpi and it is not as congested as Inikpi. Students who opt for lodge can be given a choice to chose her hostile. They play volleyball inside the hostel but meant only for the girls. It has a wheelchair accessible parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance.
